This is an okay fast food restaurant. I have had just chicken fingers before but didn't like it much. I did get the kicken chicken sandwich, which was good and is what I will get the next time I stop by. My wife got a salad and said it was surprisingly good (she was surprised the fried chicken in it was hot as opposed to cold). My fries were slightly cold. I got a brownie and it definitely had a high fudgey taste to it, which some people may like, but I am not crazy about. Overall, I would prefer a canes or chic fil a, but I am not opposed to going to Zaxby's anymore because my latest visit was a decent experience. read more

I like chicken wings. In any case, it's usually hard to mess up wings. Leave it to this store. The women taking our order acted as if she had better things to do. (This seems to be typical for this area of town, because it's rampant across other fast food chains in the area.) I ordered a combo plate that had boneless wings and strips. The strips arrived hot, but the boneless wings were cold, almost semi-frozen. The order was right, but my wife's bone-in wings were also cold. This store needs to hire people who care. I am disappointed that I have to write such a negative review, but it is my duty to be honest. First and foremost, the food is good and always hot. The problem with this location is the service. The service is always slow and I have had several bad experiences here. Specifically, this last time I visited this location. I ordered my food and I asked the worker if there was blue cheese in the bag since it was tied up. She replied yes. I didn't want to hold up the line to look so I pulled forward. There was no blue cheese in the bag, so I had to get out and go in and get some. I got home and realized they also forgot the buffalo chicken dip I ordered. The chips were there, but the dip was not. I called them and they said they had it waiting for me. I had to get back in the car and go get it. They were not apologetic. They did not try to make it right after forgetting TWO of my items I paid for. They have forgotten small items in the last as well that I have had to go back in for. Zaxbys was a last second choice made after leaving Rouses. Neither my boyfriend (vegitarian) or I had been so we went through the drive though. The girl taking our order was sweet. I got a wings n things combo with onion rings. He got a side of fried mushrooms to snack on. Let me just say wow! I don't even eat mushrooms and those were soo good! The food is pretty good and actually a good value. 3 of us had lunch for under $30. The staff is kind and helpful. Only real issue is that the menu does not have any prices listed. When I inquired, they said that is what corporate dictates. It's nice to see the amount for each selection displayed. I understand that the ever changing price of chicken may be an issue. Drove 11 miles to this Zaxby's in a extremely large (empty) tour bus, most places will let me order at the window and I'll just walk up to the window and pick it up, remember I'm in a 40ft 12.3 tall tour bus. I asked the young man if I could order he said no at first closed the window came back and said you can order online. WHAT?! Did I mention I'm already at the window talking to the person. While me and the car infront of me are both informed "oh we're closed for the evening". I worked for sonic for 4 years and never once have heard someone say that unless it was past closing time. It's not like Raising Cane's. Yes, they have the chicken fingers and fries, but they have a pretty extensive menu with salads, sandwiches and various sides. The customer service here was on-point: greeted upon entry and my order was promptly prepared. Chicken fingers were decent, but not as crunchy as I would have liked and the Texas toast could have been a bit more buttery. I did like that the Texas toast was cut in to triangular slices. Also, it was cool that I did not have to pay extra for the Zaxby's special sauce either and got 2 with my 10-piece order. If you plan to dine-in, you'll be happy to know that the restaurant is clean, restrooms are clean and your food comes in hot & quick. WARNING: if you are traveling west on the I-10, do not follow the interstate signs that tell you Zaxby's is off the 179 exit. It is not!! Exit the Tanger outlet and hang a right and it will be on your left side not too far from the exit. I like that there are more Zaxby's restaurants popping up in the capital city! I've been to various Zaxby's across the southeastern US. This location is your typical Zaxby's. Great chicken strips, good seasoned fries. Today being it's opening day, some things aren't perfect yet. Chicken strips were a little overdone, and a had little too much breading on them, but everything else was great. Fix that, and it's better than Cane's. They have a wide variety of choices to serve anyone (Salads, chicken strips/wings, sandwiches, shakes, etc). read more

I discovered this restaurant had online ordering and decided to try it out. When I went to place my order, I couldn't get it to charge for the kiddie fingerz. I went ahead and paid online. When I arrived, I let the cashier know that I was not charged for the kidz meal and he went ask the manager about it. I could hear her from the kitchen telling him, "There's nothing I can do about, tell her 'Merry Christmas.'" She then turned to me and repeated sarcastically, "Merry Christmas." Got grilled chicken Cobb salad, found plastic in my salad from I'm guessing the pre-packaged bag it was in, also the onion strings were gross. I couldn't even finished the salad, threw away rest and left. Gave this location another try, got cheddar bites and they were cold. Also tried nibblerz, they were just okay. Everything here is probably frozen or pre-packaged food. Raising Cane's is definitely the superior choice! Cane's has fresh never frozen chicken, marinated and breaded in store, better fries, better bread, and better sauce! Don't waste your time at Zaxby's, don't know how they can last in BR with such low quality food compared to Cane's. Today, the food was drenched in grease as if it was refried to make it hot. I ordered the onion rings and chicken fingers. The onion rings were so greasy that it made my stomach hurt.
