I don't usually stop at Chick Fil A anymore. However, one can only have so many Taco Palenque items before needing a change. This Chick Fil A was a quick jaunt for me along a route. The drive-thru line looked like it wrapped halfway to tomorrow, so I decided ordering ahead and picking it up inside would save some time. Unfortunately, that's where the good decisions ended. This location had recently reopened after what I assume was a remodel, so I expected it to look... well... fresh. Instead, it looked like the adults had taken the day off and left toddlers in charge. While waiting for my order, I leaned against one of the half walls only to immediately pull away because it was sticky. Not "someone just spilled something" sticky. The kind of sticky that makes you wonder how long it's been since anyone wiped it down. Then I started looking around. The floors looked like they'd survived an entire day's worth of traffic without seeing a cleaning. Nearly every surface I noticed looked neglected. For a restaurant that has built its reputation on cleanliness and efficiency, it was genuinely surprising. The lone bright spot was an older gentleman working the dining room. He greeted me warmly, asked how he could help, pointed me toward the pickup area, and wished me a great day. In the middle of what otherwise felt like complete chaos, he was the only person who projected professionalism and genuine hospitality. Then came the food. My fries were limp and soggy. The chicken was dry, tasted as though it had been sitting far longer than it should have, and honestly wasn't worth eating. I ended up stopping at Trader Joe's, buying a salad instead, and throwing the Chick-fil-A meal straight into the trash. I hate wasting food. I hate wasting money even more. But I especially hate wasting both at the same time. I sincerely hope this was just an unusually bad day for them. For me, though, one visit was enough. Will never eat at chick-fil-A ever again. Sat in drive thru line for 30 minutes tonight (Wednesday at 8:30). The layout is terrible. We and 5 other cars had their meals in about 20 minutes but had to wait on the first car's order since we couldn't get around. Have the car with a big or special order pull out of the way. I burned more gas than the cost of the meal. In a sit down restaurant, they would have discounted the meal due to poor service . 30 minutes is not fast food. The good: It's the standard Chic-fil-a quality, which is fantastic! The sandwich and fries are as I expect, tasty and juicy. The bad: Service. I've been to countless Chic-fil-a locations and they are always superb in their service, but for some reason this location is really sub-par. It's rare I give a 1 star, but when I'm given attitude by the counter "you only need to scan it once", not knowing my app was scanned in the first place. And not a single smile amongst the staff, you know the operator-owner didn't drink the Chic-fil-a tea (and lemonade). If I order two large cups of ice with my order, that's exactly what I expect at the window. Not two mediums. Not a lecture about the difference in price. Two. LARGE. Cups. Of. Ice. This location loves to "correct" my order as if I don't understand what I'm requesting or what it costs. I get to the window, see smaller cups than I ordered, and I'm told...AGAIN AND AGAIN LIKE I DO NOT KNOW...that large cups cost extra. I'm an adult. I know what I ordered. I know what it costs. Charge me and keep it moving. No other Chick-fil-A in this city pulls this stunt. FIRST, the other locations don't charge for ice (MLK near UT? Parmer and Dessau?). SECONDLY, the other locations don't gatekeep ice. They don't swap sizes. They don't question my order like they're doing me a favor. But the RESEARCH location does it every time, and it's insulting. You don't second-guess someone ordering a sandwich so why second-guess ice? Just give customers what they order the first time. It's really that simple. read more

The customer service here is just amazing. The people couldn't be nicer or more helpful. And of course the food is great, just like it is at any chic fil a, anywhere. The fried chicken, grilled chicken, waffle fries, and lemonade are some of the best I've ever had. Some healthy options are available. No other fast food restaurant can match the simple quality of this. And I love how they've adapted to deal with the impossible rush of thousands of people and cars by adding two (nonexistent) lanes to the drive-through and making it all work somehow. Absolutely the worst chick fil a location in possibly all of existence. I consistently and unfortunately am stuck with going to this location (I'm beginning to make the much longer drive to other locations now), and this is by far the worst location for customer service, condiments requested, no napkins, no straws. Whatever you do, you must go in person and be aggressive to acquire the needed materials to eat the most expensive sub par fast food chicken on the market. This is the closest one to where I work, and every time we come here.. the fries are old. Everyone here is super nice. Which makes this hard to post. First time visiting, never been to a chick with a power tower in the middle of the parking lot. Anyway I ordered waffle fries and grilled chicken sandwiches. Sadly my waffle fries was not a whole fries it was a middle fry holder with small pieces just awful. My sandwich was supposed to have lettuce, tomato mayo and mustard. when you're in the hunt for a fast food salad, I honestly think that Chick-fil-A has one of the best affordable fast food salads in the market. I love the Arboretum Chick-fil-A location because it is always very clean, has a fast Service, it's never that packed and it has a pretty good parking situation. My go to at this Chick-fil-A are their salads, their chicken wraps and their hot chicken sandwich. In particular, my favorite item from Chick-fil-A is there a spicy southwest salad which comes with Romain, lettuce, cherry, tomatoes, shredded cheese, chicken, tortilla chips, and a dressing of your choice. I always pair the grilled chicken and the spicy salsa dressing but I have had it with fried chicken instead and it's just as good. I feel like their salads are very consistent all throughout in terms of flavor. I've had their Cobb salad and their kale salad and they're always really good as well. If you pair the spicy salsa dressing with any of the other salads and a little bit of the ranch, it becomes an explosion of flavors. Whenever I am in need of a fast lunch or one a late dinner, I come to Chick-fil-A to get either one of their a staple sandwiches or a salad. Definitely recommend checking out their Arboretum location because it is just a great experience each time. read more

I know each location is individually owned, but sadly this one really dropped the ball when it comes to upholding the high standards of CFA. This location looks impressive from the outside with their mega drive through, however the whole experience was disappointing. First off, the staff didn't wear masks, the wait to receive food was long, and lastly the food was cold by the time it was received and just tasted off. This location's spicy CFA chicken sandwich had an overpowering cayenne taste which was much spicier and unlike their traditional recipe. The bread was also not the standard bun as this one seemed to fall apart in your hands and not as toasted. However the worst part was how stingy they were with the fries which I love so much, especially when they are cooked well done. Oh but guess what...this location apparently doesn't offer this option, I was shocked as this is literally the ONLY location I've visited that said this couldn't be done. read more

What is up with this location? The staff does not seem happy to be working here. The most curt staff at a Chick-fil-A while saying "my pleasure". The drive thru is a bit of a mess. Three lanes that make you drive around do a alley to get on frontage road. Food was standard and fast but something wasn't right here. Came here for a quick dinner for my toddler. I had received a coupon for a kids meal figured I'd use it. Ordered inside for dine in scanned the coupon QR code didn't work tried again didn't work so I grabbed another coupon I had and didn't work. I asked for a manager to help but employee said they were in lunch break so I had to step away to get my card. Came back and employee was taking another order but was struggling to close my check since it wasn't paid for. I re order again with the same employee and pay. We then waited 20 min for a kids meal just for the meal to be completely wrong with no drink. I specifically asked for grilled since he has a severe egg allergy. It took employees 10 min to get to me when I explained my order was wrong since there were a few customers complaining as well. Overall this has been the slowest chick fli a experience and it was my sons first chick fli a experience as well and it sucked he's a big fruit fan and the fruit salad was spoiled but I didn't care to complain again at this point... will not be returning here. What's up with this location? Weird staff! I always like to redeem my chicken sandwiches cuz I constantly leave surveys and I work by the one on 6th Street overnights so I'll go there before they close or in the morning and they always say in the morning that they will make my chicken sandwich for me but I have to wait a little longer since it's technically not breakfast which is fine to me. When I went to this location she refused to make it. I just walked off as she was telling me over and over that I couldn't have it no matter what and that I needed to get a biscuit instead and not use my reward. To add when I pulled up the Hispanic girl with the bun and hat and the white purse was purposely standing and talking in a parking space and wouldn't let me park in it.
