We've ordered the veggie burger at this Five Guys many times, and it's usually been a good experience. This visit, however, was disappointing. We requested a simple substitution--but the cashier had an unexpectedly difficult time understanding the order. Instead of trying to clarify, she came across as condescending and discourteous, making what should have been a simple interaction unpleasant. To make matters worse, the fries were not up to the usual Five Guys standard. They tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and were greasy and unappetizing. We ordered Five Guys with DoorDash delivery -- and the delivery was prompt and fine. The FOOD... ... the burger was a 3/5 and CERTAINLY not at $15 value! But, it was decently good. ...the chocolate shake was a little runnier that what I prefer, but it was smooth and had a good taste. ...but... ...The fries? Boardwalk style? These are supposed to be crispy on the outside. These were LIMP and practically un-cooked. Not boardwalk style of any other identifiable edible style. And for $9.11, this is virtually criminal. I got the cheeseburger and it was my first time at Five Guys. I didn't realize the regular comes with two patties. If you want a single patty, you have to get the "little cheeseburger". This burger is sooo big-it could have last me two meals but I believe in finishing food while it's still fresh so I ate it all They did mess up my order-I asked for pickles and they didn't include them. I heard them talking about the pickles and did wonder if they were referring to my order Cheese is gooey just how I like it and you can get as many toppings as you want. Love this place! The free peanuts are amazing and the unlimited toppings is great. The burgers are a bit pricey, but if you like yours all the way, I think it's worth it. I recommend you ordering the small fries if you want fries, because the portions are pretty large. One thing I did want to mention, though, was the customer service. It was not that great. The man at the register made annoyed faces when we had questions about the menu. We decided to try the Cajun fries, only to find out that they would be too salty for our liking. we asked the person at the counter if they would take our fries back and exchange them with the regular fries, and the hospitality simply wasn't there. maybe that's something they should work on. read more

Wow!! How did I forget about 5 Guys Burgers & fries??? I was at Cheesecake Factory and waited over 15 mins for a pasta dish & it arrived cold. I closed out my tab, walked out and directly across the parking lot I see 5 Guys Burgers. The service was awesome. They are all really nice people, they greet you when you come in, you can see them make your order & they do NOT skimp on the fries! Mickey D's & whataburgers are frie cheats....!!!! I ordered a regular cheeseburger and it was made with love it was so tasty!!!!! I could only eat half and I have a ton of fries leftover to warm in the air fryer. Tip: Air Fryer is the best way to warm up your left over burger & fries, just take off the cold parts. The place was nice and clean. Although they are out of Dr. Pepper & Diet Dr. Pepper and some other flavors. They had root beer and that was a nice walk down childhood memory lane. Overall I will definitely be back. I called in my order. I was told it would be ready in 5-7 minutes. I arrived at the store. My order was not ready. I was told we like to start your order when you arrive so the food will be fresh. This is a to go order. I have a 15 minute ride home. I was told this was in my best interest. I asked why tell me a timeframe if you are not going to meet it. Like so many people I heard about Five Guys hamburgers before but had not gone out of my way to try it. Over the weekend I ended up at the Arboretum right by it, so I went in to try a burger. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger all the way had a large order of French fries. The thing that shocked me was that the total for my bill on that was almost $20. That being said I did get quite a bit of food for the price. But I still consider this place somewhat overpriced, and if I decided to go back, I would know better than to order a large of anything for just one person. My overall impression after going here for lunch can be summed up in three words: pricey, decent, and greasy. I'm not a big fan of this chain because of the average-quality to high-price ratio, but I had a free $8 to spend at Five Guys (thanks to a Chase Pay promotion--which you guys should look into!) and decided to give it another chance. Compared to other Five Guys locations, this place is larger and has nice, large windows to sit next to. Their food, like all Five Guys locations, is on the pricier side of the fast food burger spectrum and a basic burger (with tax) was all I could afford with my voucher. One perk that separates it from other fast food places, however, is their free burger toppings--you can add as little or as many of their topping choices (eg, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeños, green pepper, relish) for no extra cost! The burger itself was dry on the inside but greasy on the outside and soaked the bottom of the brown bag instantly. As for cleanliness, this location is a bit worse than others. I decided to pick up Five Guys last night since we were wanting something different. First of all, their phone app is super easy to use -- and customize your burger or hot dog to your heart's content. Next, the food comes out fast -- and accurate. So I came back to five guys after probably 6 years at least. Nothing has changed at this location. Lady working at the counter seemed a little annoyed but I understand. Now days it's hard to find good labor. She didn't seem too excited about her job. But oh well. I came to have my dinner. I cared less about who was working the front counter. Burger itself was fine. Patty, with fresh bun, with condiments. Nothing spectacular about the burger . But nothing wrong with the burger either. I got the little cheese burger, which was actually pretty big. So Friday night (three days ago) I wrote a scathing review of the In-N-Out Burger in San Francisco. Saturday night, I mentioned to my trivia team that I was planning on trying out Five Guys Burgers and Fries the next day. Interesting Twilight-Zonish dialogue took place for the next few moments: Me: "So I'm trying out Five Guys Burgers and Fries tomorrow." Scott: "Oh, Five Guys tastes just like In-N-Out Burger." Me: "Cute, Scott. Cute." Scott: "Huh?" Me: "I had no idea that you even knew I wrote Yelp reviews." Scott: "What the hell are you talking about?" Me: "I assume you somehow read the bad review I gave In-N-Out yesterday and you therefore thought you'd scare me away from Five Guys by comparing it similarly to In-N-Out." Scott: "Uh, no. I really think the taste of Five Guys and In-N-Out is very similar, and I have no idea what Yelp is." Me: "Great. I already have a stomach ache in preparation for tomorrow's dinner." Well, Scott was wrong. Dead wrong. Granted, Five Guys was not the be-all and end-all of burgers for me, but it was a great deal better than In-N-Out Burger, which is not hard to be, really. I got just a cheeseburger, which turned out to be two meat patties. I really only wanted one patty, but is that even an option? Not sure it is. But, hey, the burger price was still only $5.19. The burger was good, but one patty would have sufficed. As it was, I couldn't finish my burger. I don't know what brand of American cheese Five Guys uses, but it was, hands down, THE best American cheese I've ever eaten. From a vegetarian perspective, Five Guys is a bit underwhelming. I ordered the veggie sandwich. It's essentially just veggies & buns, which *could* be delicious if done right. But without any kind of sauce, it tasted mostly like a plain salad & bread. I also added jalapenos, and even then it was rather bland. The grilled onions & grilled mushrooms didn't pack much flavor, which leads me to believe they weren't grilled for long enough. I imagine adding cheese to the sandwich makes it much more interesting. I will say that all the veggies seemed fresh though, so they have that going for them. I'm sure they'd be great in an actual salad. With that said, I think the fries are decent - thick-cut & not soggy. The little size is plenty for one person. I actually prefer the Five Guys style over the cajun fries; I find the latter to be over-seasoned, but it does have a bit of a kick if that's what you're looking for. I tried eating here three times and it has always made me sick. :( The fries are soft/soggy and the burger buns consistently come out wet if you add any vegetables. I can eat p terry's/in-n-out and other fast food burgers without being sick, so i'm not sure why this particular restaurant is so bad for me.
