Once I pulled into the restaurant's parking lot, I pulled into a spot to start my mobile order. I would've done it earlier in my drive, but some Wendy's locations start to make the order immediately instead of waiting until I get to the intercom to confirm I've arrived. I ordered a pretzel baconator combo, crispy chicken biggie bag meal, and the new saucy nuggs to try. When I pulled around there was already another car waiting at the window. I waited 5 minutes before they were given their order and pulled off. I was given the two frostys that came with my meal, then waited 5 minutes before they told me my order wasn't ready yet and I needed to pull off to the mobile order parking area, and I did just that. While being parked I kept looking in the rear view mirror to see if the car behind me in line received their food. After 20 minutes, they got their food and drove off. I decided to call the store to remind them that I had a mobile order and was still waiting in the parking lot for my order. The person on the other end of the line apologized, and confirmed that I made the mobile order more than 30 minutes ago and the delay was due to staff shift change. He promised to make my order himself and that they would throw in a complimentary 20 piece saucy nuggs.I also received two extra frostys. By the time I drove away from the restaurant I waited 40 minutes for my food. In that time I could've almost made it to my final destination. I did appreciate the super hot food and complimentary additions to my order, but not enough to ignore the inconvenience of waiting so long at a "fast" food restaurant and to bump this review up to two stars.
