But their use of cheese and the vegetables they already have there for subs was much appreciated in its cleverness and nutritious simplicity. Subway's got a lot of new menu items lightly, but their old lineup is still strong. This is more of a review for Subway as a restaurant as a whole. As for the particular location, it had nice air conditioning (important on a muggy late spring day), the employee was polite and efficient, and the place was clean and tastefully designed.

There wasn't anyone else in the restaurant at the time, although I understand there may have been pickup or online orders that needed attention. One of the reasons I keep coming back to this location is because the staff is usually upbeat, engaging, and makes the experience enjoyable, so this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. I'm not saying she was rude, but there was definitely a lack of warmth and customer engagement. My suggestion would be to remind staff that while it's important to ask about add-ons, promotions, and other menu items, the delivery matters just as much. I also don't like when they take your order with gloves on. You have to pay close attention and make sure they change them, which should be a rule. Before you take an order discard gloves. Customers can tell when those questions are being asked because they're part of the job versus when they're being asked with genuine enthusiasm and good customer service. A positive attitude and friendly energy can make a big difference in the overall experience, and unfortunately, that seemed to be missing during this visit.

We had a #17 ($18.65), which was a Mike's Famous Philly that normally comes with grilled onions, peppers & white American cheese. We asked for ours to have just the meat, provolone and mayo. I wish I had thought to say light mayo, because it had way too much on the sub. The rolls were soft, but a lot of bread. The other sub we ordered was a #13 ($17.95) which was The Original Italian, which came with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni - then they added lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. This sub was loaded with meat and cheese. The subs are not inexpensive - the minis run about $7.45, regular $10.25, and giant $17.95 (depending on what sub you order).
