I believe this McDonalds location is akin to the 'Island of Broken Toys'. This must be where the send everyone that absolutely fails customer service / cashier training. There is always an issue with this place. I don't know why, but the wait at this location is ALWAYS either feast or famine. 1) Either there is NO ONE on line and it still takes longer than It should to get service or 2) the line has quite a few cars, where a normal McDonalds could knock out in no time, and it takes FOR-EVER to get service. They continually 'hold on please' all anxious, as if there's a fire or theft happening. It's like the kitchen or the order taker gets frazzled/overwhelmed and the back up begins (or continues). It's always frustrating. But it's sooooo dayum convenient to me. Such a let down. On to my gripe with this place. On the $1/$2/$3 Menu, it clearly states that the 'Buttermilk Chicken' sandwich is $3.00. The cashier told me it is $5.09. I informed her that was NOT on the external menu so it should be honored. She told me, 'hey. It is what it is'. WHAAAAAT?!?! Cool.... I got you, Trick!!! I told her to forget the entire order. She said, 'Hold up! So u don't want ANYTHING u asked for'?!?! Me: 'Nope'. I drove over here after being stuck in rush hour DC traffic I made an order and asked to use the bathroom and was told at 7:00pm EST the bathrooms are closed. Then to make matters worse they actually charged me for a paper bag for my food. As a visitor from another state I wouldn't come back to this establishment. The staff need to be trained in proper communication skills, and take a few sensitivity classes. I'm glad this was just a one time affair for me. But never again. read more

Really missed the mark on the "crispy" part of crispy chicken. I honestly wasn't sure if it was actually chicken...or even edible. Well, being off so much shouldn't be a surprise given that the order took 5x longer than the time I was given. We've all been to bad McDonald's but this one really did it for me. I'm at McDonald's for 2 fish filets. The girl repeatedly fucked up my order as I recited it to her. Finally, I get to the window and a girl hands me a full bag of food. I glance inside the bag and say, "this isn't mine." The girl turns around to confirm the order with her coworker. She turns back to me with the same full bag and says, "this IS yours." At this point, I'm thoroughly annoyed. I look at the girl with a straight face and say, "I had two fish fillets. That's all." Still not believing me, the girl says, "Can I see your receipt please?" Every time I go there has been a problem and I wasn't allowed to order. 3 times I've came thru and there are no cars in drive thru. I get to the speaker to order and only want a soda and a sandwich. I do not know her name but she by far is the best employee this location has to offer. Her customer service was incredible. She handle both registers, one with cash only and the other with credit cards only. She made the drinks, expo the food and made sure each person had their own time and never was rush. Yesterday around 3pm was when the experience happened and she even ask was I in a fraternity. Again I never asked her name but she needs to be a strong person considered for management or higher. Hide yo kids! Of course the staff is rude. Check yourself before walking in to this McDonald's location on North Ave. and be ready for anything. Just do it. Service is slow but they got shit to deal with. A lot. Restrooms are locked so you have to get someone's attention to unlock it for you and then let them know when you're out so they can lock it up again. Don't need anybody taking a heroin nap in there. At this point, we've been waiting 13 minutes for 2 McChx, a McDouble and medium fry. This is the slowest service ever. ----- A total of 20mims later, we have our food. Thankfully everything was warm. But the customer service and speed were horrible. When we got to the window, they weren't sure which order was ours but I'd rather they double check than charge me incorrectly, so I won't fault that. This is probably just about the most defunct McDonald's I've ever been to in my life. I arrived for breakfast this morning at 5:20 am and sat at the ordering screen for about 5 minutes. Then I pulled up to the drive thru and the employee inside shook her head at me and walked away, mcfrappe in hand. I waited. About 5 minutes later another employee walked up and looked over at me. I held up my hand as if to ask what was up and she told me they werent open without even opening the drive thru window. So I asked when they open and she held up 5 fingers. It was 5:30 at this point and she checked one of the touch screens, saw the time, walked away and didnt come back. I sat there for another 5 minutes and then drove away.
