I was so excited to find out I could get Chicago stuff/deep dish pizza after being gluten free for a year. I was so excited my boyfriend and I actually went to the restaurant because I could not wait. The waitress said she preferred the deep dish gluten over the stuffed, and I should have listened. The pizza was very good, but gluten free dough is never going to stand up to real dough. I was thinking that with stuffed having the extra layer of dough would be better, but I was wrong. I ended up scraping off the top layer and just eating the bottom crust, cheese, sauce and toppings. Overall, I am very impressed. I personally will just be ordering the deep dish going forward. read more

Chicago's Pizza - gluten free stuffed pizza - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Only came to Chicago because of this place... it is worth the round trip from nyc to enjoy the amazing beautiful delicious deep dish pizza.

My girlfriend likes to call Chicago's pizza heaven on earth. Chicago's pizza is one of the only places in the world we know of that offers a gluten-free deep dish pizza without any cross-contamination. Best of all, the crust is actually pretty amazing. We love coming here to get the classic feel of a deep dish pizza, and with multiple locations we were able to find a location that delivered to us for a cozy stay at home Friday meal. This place is a family owned restaurant chain with a cozy feel inside. Every time we went the wait staff has been great and catered to every need. The menu is very vast so they don't just stick to amazing pizza. I have gotten multiple sandwiches, calzones, and pastas that keep me coming back. This place is very underrated in regards to the classic deep dish pizza spots in Chicago. read more

A celiac's heaven! My boyfriend and I love this restaurant more than anything, getting pickup or dining in for date night weekly this place is our favorite. He suffers from celiac disease and I am gluten intolerant, not only do Chicago's pizza take extra precaution they have so much on their menu that is gluten free. Best gluten free pizza we've had had, their dough is out of this world, and they're pastas are amazing! I also have to mention every worker there down to the owner is so kind and helpful. Our staple date night, I'm obsessed with their new dining room! Looks amazing, can't wait for more brunch, lunch, and dinners here! read more

They have some of the best food I've had in awhile. I 110% recommend. The service was great and I felt really welcomed.

Amazing! I'm celiac and the first thing they asked when we sat down is "is anyone gluten free?" And brought gluten free rolls to the table. They have gluten free everythunt on their menu. Pizza, pasta, etc. I also have a dairy allergy, and I brought in my own cheese and they had no problem with it. It was the best experience. read more

The place was pretty empty when we came. We had a party of like 7 so they were great at accommodating us. The waitress was friendly. I'm celiac and they do have gluten free options. The food was good. Some of the flavors could have been more pronounced. I got a deep dish gluten free veggie pizza. My kids got sausage and pepperoni deep dish pizzas. The portions are huge so keep that in mind. At the end the waitress brought the receipt out and it was difficult because they didn't just separate what you ordered and give you your amount to pay. We had to go through the receipt ourselves and figure it out. Even then they had to adjust the receipt due to errors. It was a good experience overall. Lots of leftovers! read more

Wife has a glutten allergy and couldn't believe they offered a stuffed pizza option. You would never ever know it. Holly cow am I impressed. If you read most of the negative reviews on this place it's due to delivery issues from separate companies. Yelp needs to do something about that. Also got the avocado salad and it was equally impressive. Highly recommend this place for glutten allergies. read more

My reviews are for celiac vegetarians; check out my profile for more information about my reviews. Menu Labeled: Yes marked GF Items prepped in separate area: Yes Pizza where the crust is prepared in house and prepared in the same area as flour pizza is extremely risky as cross-contamination is likely to happen Absolutely amazing, Tastes like Pizza!! The thin crust was inline with their classic crust, did not taste the same, but with all the toppings, cheese and sauce you couldnt tell the diff. They also have a Deep Dish version which I am yet to try. read more

Good pizza but the order website platform does not work well, it is not clear and on top of that the customer service is terrible. I dont know who run that but, the customer is not important whatsoever. Lake view store. read more

We ordered for delivery, and it tasted like it was a frozen pizza. Not even the good frozen pizza.

Gluten free friends, when was the last time you had deep dish pizza??! I I was so excited to come here and order pizza after finding out about my annoying allergy. The pizza was really good! I loved the texture of the pizza and the flavor ( didn't taste like cardboard;)). We also got the calamari which was ok, not life changing, but I was going overboard with ordering all the gluten free items I could finish. read more

A lot has changed since my last review in 2008. For one, I can't recall the last time I was up until 3:30am. I no longer drunk eat. And I haven't enjoyed stuffed pizza in ages, as I've been gluten free for the better part of a year. Well imagine my delight when I learned Chicago's Pizza not only offers a gluten-free stuffed pizza, but they make the crust in house. Usually when a pizzeria offers a gf crust, it comes in one size only (typically 10-inch) and they purchase it from Sysco. These guys make their gf rendition in every size. Nice! Still, I had my reservations. But I'm ecstatic to report that this gluten-free take on a Chicago original is just as good as the real thing. Perhaps better! You don't have to take my word for it; just take a look at my photo for the cheesy, decadent evidence. 5 stars, because it's really, really difficult to find gluten-free stuffed pizza, let alone a delicious version featuring a housemade crust. read more

I've wanted to try deep dish pizza for ever! But with my first time in Chicago being after I became gluten free (by allergy not choice) I was nervous I wouldn't have the opportunity to do so. Cue lots of google research which led me to Chicago's Pizza! I personally thought it was wonderful (albeit I have nothing to compare it to). My non gluten-free friend who was with me has had deep dish pizza to compare it to and said her non gluten free pizza was good (not her top choice, but also not disappointing). All in all - if you're in Chicago and you can't eat gluten but want some deep dish pizza check this spot out! read more

We had a party of 14 on Friday night. I was able to make a reservation at 4:30 on that same day. Which was awesome. When we got there our server, FRANKIE, was very friendly. He was a great server. We had ordered Pizza today, 3 large, and it wasnt AS GREAT as id hoped, But other then Taste the Real Kick to the Wallet is we Paid 93.00 for it and they Couldnt Even Give us a Free Can pop offer or Bread Sticks or anything. 93.00 I felt was a Complete Waist of Money. NEVER AGAIN. Chicago Pizza you need to Bring your Price Down or At Least Offer something Free to the Customers that Pay over 50.00. Thank God we didnt Order Wings and anything else, i Seriously Would have told them to Cancel the Order. Would have Brought our order 150.00 or more. Horribly Priced and Taste is Not Worth the Value. read more

Chicago's Pizza - Lakeview is simply the best! I have many allergies and dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, yet they have plenty of options for me to choose from. It's practically the only restaurant food I will eat. Nothing compares. All of my family and friends have loved the food as well. The delivery drivers are fast, efficient, kind, and friendly. The food, like the service, is outstanding. Thanks, Chicago's Pizza! read more

Chicago's Pizza, my love for you knows no bounds. I can't believe it's been two years now since I discovered this gem, and it's been two years of delicious gluten free pizza -- thin crust, stuffed, and even calzones. Even my gluten-eating friends and family love their pizza and can't taste the difference when it's without the gluten! The wait time for pick-up is always reasonable, and in the many (and I mean many) times I have come here over the years, I've only had a problem with the quality once and I've never had them mess up an order. Best of all? Basically any pizza order will get you free pop with their coupon! Oh, and they also now have online ordering if you don't feel like talking to humans. I will continue to come here more than is socially-acceptable for my gluten free pizza fix until the end of time! See ya soon, guys. read more

We ate here for a friends birthday, and I ordered a burger to split with my boyfriend. I liked it, he felt the meat wasn't seasoned well-enough, and that the burger was greasy. He described it as "meh". Also ordered the loaded fries, and they were good, but underwhelming. They also forgot to bring our fries and coleslaw with the burger, though our server was wonderful and brought it immediately when it was pointed out (he offered to take it off the bill, first). I found that the fries were yummy, even when reheated, though I found the coleslaw to be average. They do have white Monster on the menu, which is unusual, and they are also open nice and late. People at our table had the deep dish pizza (available by the slice), and they said it was really good. I'm definitely interested in returning and seeing if the pizza lives up to the hype. I liked the food, and I'd definitely return, but at this point, I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip. read more

This place has AMAZING gluten free deep dish pizza. They also will bring out a gluten free bread basket! Love that they cater to gluten free! The pizza is great and the jalapeño poppers are amazing. Chicago = Deep Dish Pizza right? But what happens if you can't eat gluten? COME TO CHICAGO'S PIZZA! My friend came to visit Chicago and so I really wanted her to try some deep dish pizza and I looked up GF deep dish pizza options in Chicago. I found Chicago's pizza, which is known for their deep dish crust that they have attempted to perfect over the years. Sure enough the crust is at PERFECTION. As a Chicagoan I am familiar with regular deep dish pizza. We ordered a sausage pepperoni deep dish gluten free pizza and it tasted like REGULAR GLUTEN pizza. The crust was DELICIOUS. I had to ask the waitress if it was gluten free. It was almost too good to be true. The taste was like Giordano's but better. It was cheesy and delicious. They also gave us complimentary gluten free focaccia bread for us and that was an interesting taste but not bad! There were plenty of other gluten free options like calzones but we did not get a chance to try. We called in 10 minutes before arrival so we did not have to wait that long for the pizza to come out. The employees were very nice and accommodating. Oh and we ordered a medium pizza and surprisingly the price was pretty cheap. I used my 25% off from Yelp and the bill came out to be around $22. Definitely a must try for gluten intolerant folks!! read more

At work today someone brought us pizza from Chicago's. Even though it's right down the block, I hadn't had it before. We had several thin crust pizzas. (No deep dish or stuff, so I don't know how those are). The thin crust pizza was good. I love Giordanos thin crust pizza (and stuffed), and this was a lot like Giordanos. It had a nice crunchy crust, a good sauce, and nice cheese blend. The cheese pizza was really solid, as was the veggie pizza. I didn't try the meat pizzas, but coworkers said the Hawain pizza was the best they'd had, and everyone liked the special. I would absolutely eat this again and again. read more

I was super excited to find a gluten-free deep dish pizza in Chicago while visiting for the weekend. When I placed my order, there was an estimated 40 minute delivery time. Totally fine. 90 minutes later I still had not received my order, nor did anyone from the store contact me about any delays. I called the store and was told their ovens had stopped working 1/2 hour ago. No one contacted me with this info or updated my order status to "delayed." I finally received my (super cold) pizza over 2 hours after placing my order. Both the person I spoke to on the phone and the delivery person said the manager would call me the next day (Sunday). I never received a call. I'm sure the pizza would have been delicious had I received it sooner. The customer service could use some major improvements. read more

We went here because they offer gluten free crust. It was very good and I would recommend checking it out. We got the GF Stuffed Pizza (because I don't know where else we would ever get that anywhere else) and it was very delicious! I would love to go back and try the other GF options that they have. The plus is that the GF pizzas come in all sizes, so we were able to order one medium and share. Most GF pizzas come in 10" so it was nice to have more size options. The sangria was also very good. read more

Gluten Free Gluten Free Gluten Free DEEP DISH! Seriously, in 6 years, all the places I've been too, NOBODY has ever served GF pizza. Its always thin crispy crust, or a regular. I had the best deep dish pizza (I had No Cheese) added ground beef and giardiniera! It was mind blowing. The delivery to downtown Chicago did take 1 hour and 40 min, and they said 45 min to 1 hour. I would've dinged anyone else a star for it. But it was so spectacular I've got to give them 5 stars. The ground beef is also Gluten Free and pretty amazing. The thick and crispy crust was just great. Even without cheese, since I don't do dairy anymore, it was just soooooooooo good. ORDER THIS NOW! read more

Oops, I did it again I played with your bar, got lost in the Gin... of course after a night of heavy drinking, the only thing that can help is greasy pizza. Unfortunately, I hit the point of hangry within minutes. When that happens, I need something fast! Luckily, Chicago Pizza has slices ready for you at their front door. The pizza was hot, cheezy, greasy, and the crust crusty. When you need a bite fast, they got ya covered. read more

This place is delicious! The gluten free crust on the pizza and the calzone is so good that I almost didn't believe that it was gluten free! Every time I come to Chicago this is one of my first stops. The customer service is awesome, the prices are reasonable, and despite what you want think, you'll never finish even the smallest deep dish by yourself. The portions are HUGE! I'D GIVE THEM 10 STARS! read more

Order from here all the time. Sometimes they forget to cut the pie, no big deal. Probably because I have Celiac and they use a separate cutter or something.... Friend was visiting from the Bronx and we wanted to give him a taste of Chicago... Ordered and the pizza arrived uncut and all of the toppings were either on the cardboard or one half of the pie, while the other was naked. read more

Chicago's Pizza - I guess they were in too much of a hurry to cut it or slow down for corners... - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I really liked this place. The pizza was tasty. The staff were really nice and I enjoyed everything about my time here. It wasn't super crowded and there were plenty of seats to be had but I was pleased that I went in and gave it a try. The deep dish takes about 39 minutes so I grabbed a beer and hung out while watching the Olympics. Pretty cool place to pull up to the bar and have a beer or two. I think I might come back and try it out sometime. The pizza was delicious and I almost ate the whole thing. Though it was massive and I ended up taking some away to enjoy the next day. So tasty and not too saucey or cheesy. Just the right amount of amazing. I will defiantly be back to check this out again. It was really good. read more

Truly appreciated their attention to detail regarding patrons with gluten allergies. It was one of the first questions they asked we entered. My husband has Celiac and we were out visiting Chicago therefore had to try some deep dish! The pizza was great! We are accustomed to NY thin crust, but it was a nice change. They even had gluten free dessert! We had the rice pudding which was also very good! Our next trip out we will definitely be returning! read more

Ive become a regular here and consider it an amenity/asset of the neighborhood. Pros: Open until 2am Delicious pizza Thin and DD Slices at the counter Gigantic menu Good prices TVs and Bar in the restaurant 2 minute walk from my home Cons 2 minute walk from my home ;) I read a bunch of the other reviews for this place and good lord, some of you yelpers are soft cry babies for blasting this place because of frivolous reasons. I understand knocking off stars for bad service or terrible food but leaving a one star review because the gluten free pizza wasn't up to your impossible standards makes you sound like an entitled bratty child. This place a total gem and deserves a better overall rating in my humble gluten eating opinion. Deal with it. read more

Unbelievable, I order pizza bread and buffalo wings today. I got my delivered order and the wings were old and cold. I called them and the actual manager Chris told me they were not old that they were prepped yesterday. Well people it seems like we get day old food when we pay for fresh food. I am truly upset! I told him I have been a customer for years and I have never received food like this and he told me that I have only ordered 4 times from them. I stated to the unprofessional manager Chris that I order many times over the past 6 years from several numbers from my job and my cell phone. Well they have lost a customer from this. I wonder if the food inspectors would understand day old chicken??? read more
