On a Wednesday night; I had a taste for pizza . It tasted good but i ended up food poisoning. The next morning; I stayed in bed all day. I vomited the three slices of pizza. Chicago's Pizza - Lakeview is simply the best! I have many allergies and dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, yet they have plenty of options for me to choose from. It's practically the only restaurant food I will eat. Nothing compares. All of my family and friends have loved the food as well. The delivery drivers are fast, efficient, kind, and friendly. We ate here for a friends birthday, and I ordered a burger to split with my boyfriend. I liked it, he felt the meat wasn't seasoned well-enough, and that the burger was greasy. He described it as "meh". Also ordered the loaded fries, and they were good, but underwhelming. They also forgot to bring our fries and coleslaw with the burger, though our server was wonderful and brought it immediately when it was pointed out (he offered to take it off the bill, first). I found that the fries were yummy, even when reheated, though I found the coleslaw to be average. They do have white Monster on the menu, which is unusual, and they are also open nice and late. People at our table had the deep dish pizza (available by the slice), and they said it was really good. I'm definitely interested in returning and seeing if the pizza lives up to the hype. I liked the food, and I'd definitely return, but at this point, I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip. read more

This place has AMAZING gluten free deep dish pizza. They also will bring out a gluten free bread basket! Love that they cater to gluten free! The pizza is great and the jalapeño poppers are amazing. They also have great sangria and it is priced super reasonably! Been here a few times and the staff is also always great. read more

Chicago = Deep Dish Pizza right? But what happens if you can't eat gluten? COME TO CHICAGO'S PIZZA! My friend came to visit Chicago and so I really wanted her to try some deep dish pizza and I looked up GF deep dish pizza options in Chicago. I found Chicago's pizza, which is known for their deep dish crust that they have attempted to perfect over the years. Sure enough the crust is at PERFECTION. As a Chicagoan I am familiar with regular deep dish pizza. We ordered a sausage pepperoni deep dish gluten free pizza and it tasted like REGULAR GLUTEN pizza. The crust was DELICIOUS. I had to ask the waitress if it was gluten free. It was almost too good to be true. The taste was like Giordano's but better. It was cheesy and delicious. They also gave us complimentary gluten free focaccia bread for us and that was an interesting taste but not bad! There were plenty of other gluten free options like calzones but we did not get a chance to try. We called in 10 minutes before arrival so we did not have to wait that long for the pizza to come out. The employees were very nice and accommodating. Oh and we ordered a medium pizza and surprisingly the price was pretty cheap. I used my 25% off from Yelp and the bill came out to be around $22. Definitely a must try for gluten intolerant folks!! read more

I was super excited to find a gluten-free deep dish pizza in Chicago while visiting for the weekend. When I placed my order, there was an estimated 40 minute delivery time. Totally fine. 90 minutes later I still had not received my order, nor did anyone from the store contact me about any delays. I called the store and was told their ovens had stopped working 1/2 hour ago. No one contacted me with this info or updated my order status to "delayed." I finally received my (super cold) pizza over 2 hours after placing my order. Both the person I spoke to on the phone and the delivery person said the manager would call me the next day (Sunday). I never received a call. I'm sure the pizza would have been delicious had I received it sooner. The customer service could use some major improvements. read more

We went here because they offer gluten free crust. It was very good and I would recommend checking it out. We got the GF Stuffed Pizza (because I don't know where else we would ever get that anywhere else) and it was very delicious! I would love to go back and try the other GF options that they have. The plus is that the GF pizzas come in all sizes, so we were able to order one medium and share. Most GF pizzas come in 10" so it was nice to have more size options. The sangria was also very good. read more

Gluten Free Gluten Free Gluten Free DEEP DISH! Seriously, in 6 years, all the places I've been too, NOBODY has ever served GF pizza. Its always thin crispy crust, or a regular. I had the best deep dish pizza (I had No Cheese) added ground beef and giardiniera! It was mind blowing. The delivery to downtown Chicago did take 1 hour and 40 min, and they said 45 min to 1 hour. I would've dinged anyone else a star for it. But it was so spectacular I've got to give them 5 stars. The ground beef is also Gluten Free and pretty amazing. The thick and crispy crust was just great. Even without cheese, since I don't do dairy anymore, it was just soooooooooo good. ORDER THIS NOW! read more

Oops, I did it again I played with your bar, got lost in the Gin... of course after a night of heavy drinking, the only thing that can help is greasy pizza. Chicago's Pizza, my love for you knows no bounds. I can't believe it's been two years now since I discovered this gem, and it's been two years of delicious gluten free pizza -- thin crust, stuffed, and even calzones. Even my gluten-eating friends and family love their pizza and can't taste the difference when it's without the gluten! The wait time for pick-up is always reasonable, and in the many (and I mean many) times I have come here over the years, I've only had a problem with the quality once and I've never had them mess up an order. Best of all? Basically any pizza order will get you free pop with their coupon! Oh, and they also now have online ordering if you don't feel like talking to humans. I will continue to come here more than is socially-acceptable for my gluten free pizza fix until the end of time! See ya soon, guys. read more

Every time I come to Chicago this is one of my first stops. The customer service is awesome, the prices are reasonable, and despite what you want think, you'll never finish even the smallest deep dish by yourself. The portions are HUGE! Unbelievable, I order pizza bread and buffalo wings today. I got my delivered order and the wings were old and cold. I called them and the actual manager Chris told me they were not old that they were prepped yesterday. Well people it seems like we get day old food when we pay for fresh food. I am truly upset! I told him I have been a customer for years and I have never received food like this and he told me that I have only ordered 4 times from them. I stated to the unprofessional manager Chris that I order many times over the past 6 years from several numbers from my job and my cell phone. Well they have lost a customer from this. I wonder if the food inspectors would understand day old chicken??? read more

At work today someone brought us pizza from Chicago's. Even though it's right down the block, I hadn't had it before. We had several thin crust pizzas. (No deep dish or stuff, so I don't know how those are). The thin crust pizza was good. I love Giordanos thin crust pizza (and stuffed), and this was a lot like Giordanos. It had a nice crunchy crust, a good sauce, and nice cheese blend. The cheese pizza was really solid, as was the veggie pizza. I didn't try the meat pizzas, but coworkers said the Hawain pizza was the best they'd had, and everyone liked the special. I would absolutely eat this again and again. read more

Order from here all the time. Sometimes they forget to cut the pie, no big deal. Probably because I have Celiac and they use a separate cutter or something.... Friend was visiting from the Bronx and we wanted to give him a taste of Chicago... Truly appreciated their attention to detail regarding patrons with gluten allergies. It was one of the first questions they asked we entered. My husband has Celiac and we were out visiting Chicago therefore had to try some deep dish! The pizza was great! We are accustomed to NY thin crust, but it was a nice change. They even had gluten free dessert! We had the rice pudding which was also very good! Our next trip out we will definitely be returning! read more

Ive become a regular here and consider it an amenity/asset of the neighborhood. Pros: Open until 2am Delicious pizza Thin and DD Slices at the counter Gigantic menu Good prices TVs and Bar in the restaurant 2 minute walk from my home Cons 2 minute walk from my home ;) I read a bunch of the other reviews for this place and good lord, some of you yelpers are soft cry babies for blasting this place because of frivolous reasons. I understand knocking off stars for bad service or terrible food but leaving a one star review because the gluten free pizza wasn't up to your impossible standards makes you sound like an entitled bratty child. This place a total gem and deserves a better overall rating in my humble gluten eating opinion. Deal with it. read more

I really liked this place. The pizza was tasty. The staff were really nice and I enjoyed everything about my time here. It wasn't super crowded and there were plenty of seats to be had but I was pleased that I went in and gave it a try. The deep dish takes about 39 minutes so I grabbed a beer and hung out while watching the Olympics. Pretty cool place to pull up to the bar and have a beer or two. I think I might come back and try it out sometime. The pizza was delicious and I almost ate the whole thing. Though it was massive and I ended up taking some away to enjoy the next day. So tasty and not too saucey or cheesy. Just the right amount of amazing. I will defiantly be back to check this out again. It was really good. read more

THIS PLACE LIES. We had a coupon for this place: $10 off your order of $20+. Ordered and added a few extra things to get the total to $20. Got a receipt after entering the coupon and the code didn't work. Called after waiting 20 minutes past our estimated delivery time to check on things and mentioned that the code didn't work. Was then told that the coupon only works if it's $20 total BEFORE taxes, which the coupon does NOT say, anywhere. Both the employee and the general manager I spoke to about this were very rude, not helpful and said the only way they could apply it was if I ordered more, therefore calling the driver back and waiting additional time. At one point, the manager basically said it was my fault for ordering so early. I apologize for giving you business; didn't know it was such a problem to apply a coupon that you refused to let us use due to a couple dollars difference. The card even says "restrictions written on back" but says nothing about the order must be $20 total before taxes. Never again. Not to mention: pizza still hasn't arrived and it's now 11am (estimated delivery time was 10:30). Edit to reply to the deceptive comment: I did not call this business after the driver arrived. I called twenty to thirty minutes BEFORE the already late driver arrived. So right off the bat, this business is lying. Second of all, how nice of a business to assert that I'm trying to pinch pennies! Isn't that so kind and exactly how you treat customers? When placing this order with the coupon in mind (and by the way, legally speaking: if you want to have the coupon be applicable to a total after taxes, you have to notate that--simply just thinking "that's how every business does it" is not how you run a business), I did not think of taxes. I simply added things to my basket until the total showed over $20. However, again, I truly appreciate the business saying I was trying to pinch pennies. That's so incredibly demeaning and beyond how I have ever been treated by a business. Finally, my attitude did not escalate until I was treated rudely by the individuals on the phone. Again, however, I'm not at all surprised this person is lying in their response to make the business look innocent. Again, this business was arguing with me over about a dollar or two. Had I ordered a dollar more, the coupon would have been applicable by their terms (which were not listed on the coupon). These people are liars and trying to rip innocent people off; do not order from them. The food isn't good enough for this kind of grief and horrible customer service (as well as demeaning me and calling me cheap via a yelp review!) anyway. read more

I am allergic to onions. I placed an order through Uber eats which unfortunately did not have a note section to request no onions. I contacted the business within five minutes of placing the order and try to explain myself to the guy on the phone. He seemed to have been very upset that I went through Uber eats and let me know about it and also let me know that when we place the order through Uber eats Chicago Pizza does not get paid by the customer but by Uber and that he did not care that I was allergic to onions the pizza was already in the oven. So I'm just supposed to eat this pizza with onions on it. Super ridiculous. I appreciate the education on the ins and outs of Uber eats and restaurants and how restaurants get paid but that is not my concern and that is not something that Customer should be punished. Plus I ate there before and they were rude before too. The one on Montrose is way better anyway. read more

I've been ordering from this place for a few years. Their pasta dishes and sandwiches are usually solid; and delivery is always fast. But, the pizza I ordered tonight was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. It had almost NO sauce. What I got was less of a pizza, and more of a dry, brittle, flavorless pizza dough with cheese. The toppings I ordered were quite sparse, too. Altogether, it was just a crappy pizza. I won't be ordering pizza there again. read more

Every bagel came with a pickle on the side, which was a nice touch. The place itself was amazing. There were plenty of tables to sit, a cozy bar area where you can eat or have a coffee, and the overall vibe was super friendly and comfortable. It's not a huge space, but it feels really inviting and there's enough room to stay for a while, you could even bring your laptop and get some work done. In the summer, they also have outdoor seating, which makes it even nicer. The service was great, the staff was friendly, and the menu had a wide variety of options for everyone. The only thing is that it's a bit pricey. We ordered two filled bagels and one plain bagel with just a small side of cream cheese, and it was almost fifty dollars. If all three had been filled bagels, I would totally understand the price, but since one was plain, it did feel a bit expensive. We also got the strawberry cream cheese, which was good but not my favorite. I definitely preferred the cinnamon sugar one. Overall, I would absolutely go back because the bagels were fantastic, the space was cozy and welcoming, and it's a perfect spot to relax or grab breakfast, just a little on the expensive side.

The cashier still charged me nearly $30 for a meal after tip, but while I was eating, the bartender began cussing me out for sitting in an area he had already cleaned. Apparently it was acceptable for the three patrons at the bar to continue drinking beer, but not for me to quietly eat the food I had just purchased before closing time. If customers aren't welcome during posted business hours, the restaurant should either stop serving earlier or adjust the hours. I would rather eat on the street than spend another nickel here.
