However I'm afraid that I'm going to be, again, in the market for a new one. I was waiting in the waiting area for my cleaning when I overheard the "girls" at the front desk talking about an incident that occurred two nights prior where a young female police officer and her partner were shot. (The young female officer lost her life and the young male officer is in critical condition.) one of the females who I will identify as "the hygienist" says, I can't wait to see what really happened, I bet they were really aggressive and that's why they got shot. You know male police officers are so aggressive" not females, but males. I bet they deserved it because it doesn't just happen." Now I don't know about you but if I'm a police officer and my coworker was just shot to death. I don't want to hear your ignorant opinion about a job you know nothing about. There's enough negativity and ignorance about policing, I certainly don't need to hear it at my dentist's office. The problem nowadays is that people don't know enough about being professional in a work environment and they certainly don't know when to keep their mouths shut. I would love for this woman to lose her job over the fact that she just lost a client but that probably won't happen. It really is a shame because I really do like Dr Alkass but I'm not going to give my business to a place I consider a hostile environment. UPDATE: Dr Alkass called shortly after this happened and was absolutely horrified about the situation. It turns out that the woman who was going to be cleaning my teeth was a temp who was taking the place of the excellent regular hygienist that they have named Milena. He assured me that the woman I encountered would not be back working at his business. We talked about the fact that in a professional environment there's just no place for that. Thank You Dr Alkass. I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to give me a call as the last thing I wanted to do was leave your practice because you're so good at what you do.

Dr. Simon worked on my teeth for many years and was great but lately Dr. Koch has been working on my teeth and has been fixing my tooth problems without a problem since. Dr. Koch is very aware of your pain from many procedures and will make you comfortable as possible. She also is a perfectionist which I love! She has a high degree of focus on if her work is perfect before you leave. Also she will recommend issues with your teeth which you should take seriously. She won't shame you into not doing a procedure which I appreciate. She identifies issue which will be a problem if you let it go too long. I've experienced letting things go too long but she fixed that as well. She is one of their top dentists and I appreciate her. City Smiles as a whole is a great company. I want to also recommend Adriana as a hygienist. She is their top hygienist. She is very pleasant and is very concerned with your comfort as well as an expert at cleaning your teeth with precision and takes very much care in detail without a lot of pain. 5 stars for her as well!

I was referred to this office by my new insurance but front desk set me up with hygienist who was not in my network (but the dentist was). I was awarded a hefty bill that I shouldn't have had to pay for but reluctantly did in installments. When there was about $50 or so left to pay the manager at the time said they'd just take care of it given it wasn't my fault. I set up a new appointment for a cleaning this month and was told I have two outstanding bills and to contact my insurance. My dental insurance told me to refer them to my medical insurance so that medical may pay their portion. Long story short, the dental office and both my medical and dental insurers are playing musical chairs and having me do their jobs contacting one another to resolve two bills that I'm being told I'm now responsible for because the time to reconcile them thru the insurer is now too late. For a friggin cleaning? $400 and something bucks for someone who has never even had one cavity in their life? The manager at the front desk says it's the fault of the previous employees and that's why they're all gone and she's now cleaning up their mess. How is that my fault? It is unfortunate, I liked my hygienist, dentist and the convenient location. But I've already paid once for THEIR mistake and that alone was one time too many.
