I had a new patient exam/xrays/cleaning this week and couldn't be happier with the care I received! The office was very modern and there are individual patient rooms (I've been to other dentists where this isn't the case). The receptionist was super friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The dental assistant, Alex, and Dr. Tavolzhanskaya were both very gentle and caring. The Doctor was extremely thorough, doing an exam for oral cancer before we got started and also checked my blood pressure. I very much appreciated her attention to detail when reviewing my medical history and making recommendations. The X-rays of my teeth were up on a giant screen that I could see, which was pretty cool. They even gave me a goody bag at the end. read more

I just received an email that they are putting a 3% charge on debit or credit payments. Only Zelle or cash payments won't have an additional charge. If you have a $500 service this equates to an additional $15. This is very unnecessary so it's likely time to find a new dentist. read more

I really like it here. My hygienist is awesome and super kind, gentle, and always makes me feel comfortable. They're thoughtful, explain what they're doing, and actually care about how you're feeling. Booking is easy, they usually have good availability, and the whole team is friendly and professional. If you have dentist anxiety, you should come here. They really want to make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of at this office. Runs like a well-oiled machine. They move fast and do exceptional work. Above all, they don't bs you. You see your whole mouth and entire treatment plan up front. I am very impressed with this dental office! Dr Lyuda practices ethical & conservative dentistry. When I came in with a non-traumatic chip of 1 of my old amalgam fillings, Dr Lyuda was able to preserve all of my healthy tooth by only removing the decay/amalgam and placing a onlay (partial dental crown). A different office in Lincoln Park had prescribed a full dental crown for the same tooth which would have shaved down a significant amount of my healthy tooth, possibly requiring me to need a dental implant further down the line. At Dr Lyuda's office, I was also shown all my dental pictures in a large multi-screen display right in front my chair with a transparent explanation of my dental health and doctor's recommendations. l also really appreciate her entire team all of whom I have had only pleasant encounters with including her office manager Guisell, dental assistant Yesenia, a male dental assistant whose name I've forgotten (sorry!) and front desk Raquel. read more

Would not recommend ever. Went in for a specialized tooth check. As they did the xray they cracked the tooth and broke pieces of it completely off. They then stopped the check up and said it needed to be removed. I asked multiple times to be referred to the oral surgeon of my choice and they just ignored it and referred me to someone other doctor. After seeing my oral surgeon I have gone to a new dentist and saved the tooth that never needed to be removed in the first place. Do not go here read more

This place is clean, professional, and the staff is extremely helpful. I decided to try out the neighborhood dentist and it has been an absolutely great decision! Finally found a dentist's office I like and let's just say I've always dreaded the dentists office. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dentist. The nicest people. Great bedside manner, especially because we are a family who is not fond of going to the dentist. First time ever that I go every 6 months and preschedule my next appointment. Same with my husband. The office is clean and they pay close attention to hygiene. They are very upfront with what will need to be paid, what insurance takes care of, etc. They are also great with kids. I have been bringing my son since he turned 18mo to get him acclimated to being there so that he is okay once it's time. He's not happy about it, but they are so patient and friendly. He sits in my lap and they let him get comfortable with things. Last time he even let them put some fluoride on his teeth! I have a great experience every time I go. The office is modern and the staff is very professional. I have seen two or three different hygienists and two dentists there and I've had great experiences with them all. The place feels upscale and comfortable. The equipment is very clean and up to date. I usually have trouble with X-rays but it's always painless and quick. I've been in and out for cleanings in about 30-45 minutes and never really had to wait when I come in. They pay attention to detail and even have a washing station with fresh towels that you can use if the fluoride treatment is too sticky after they apply. I asked the receptionist some questions about teeth whitening and she answered by questions without trying to sell me on anything. Really love this place thanks for being a place to get great care in the neighborhood! read more

I was recommended this place by my parents who have been going here for a few years now and they swore by it! Back story, I hate going to the dentist, it's nerve wrecking having someone dig in your mouth lol. But the staff here was absolutely incredible and welcoming! After reading great reviews, I went to VIP dental for a routine dental appointment. First, their scheduling team and front desk receptionists were very rude on the phone. When I walked in, they were all smiles. It was a long appointment and the x-rays took forever- nearly 40 min of X-rays and the X-ray kept dying. The only good thing there, that kept me going back a second time was the dental hygienist, who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their prices were very high and I spent less than 5 min with Dr L. I will not be going back a third time. read more

They made a bad experience very easy for me. I haven't been to the dentist since I had my braces removed because I haven't had insurance. I knew I'd have to pay out of pocket and they explained everything to me and answered all my questions with no additude. I know that seems small but it's hard to find and it's what makes me want to go back to and spend my money with a business. They communicate with each other and myself very well. I came to get my wisdom tooth removed but they were unable to do it because it was to close to the nerve. So they referred me somewhere else but I bought a package to get 2 free cleanings as well as a list of other things. It was only my first time but they made me feel comfortable. read more

I was awarded a hefty bill that I shouldn't have had to pay for but reluctantly did in installments. When there was about $50 or so left to pay the manager at the time said they'd just take care of it given it wasn't my fault. I set up a new appointment for a cleaning this month and was told I have two outstanding bills and to contact my insurance. My dental insurance told me to refer them to my medical insurance so that medical may pay their portion. Long story short, the dental office and both my medical and dental insurers are playing musical chairs and having me do their jobs contacting one another to resolve two bills that I'm being told I'm now responsible for because the time to reconcile them thru the insurer is now too late. For a friggin cleaning? $400 and something bucks for someone who has never even had one cavity in their life? The manager at the front desk says it's the fault of the previous employees and that's why they're all gone and she's now cleaning up their mess. How is that my fault? It is unfortunate, I liked my hygienist, dentist and the convenient location. But I've already paid once for THEIR mistake and that alone was one time too many.

For all the bad reviews this place has I just wanted to leave my own two cents. This is one of the…read moreonly few places in the city or maybe even the state (aside from dental schools.. yikes) that take Medicaid for wisdom teeth removals. They got me in extremely fast for both the consultation and procedure. Even with normal dental insurance, the wait time is usually at least a month. The oral surgeon was incredibly sweet and made sure to check in with me when things got intense during the procedure. They only offer local anesthetic but as a Medicaid recipient, can't really complain there. As far as follow up care, despite my likely over worrying, they also got me an appointment pretty soon after the procedure. The oral surgeon is only there 2 days out of the week so that's the only kicker, but despite that their appointment openings were more than reasonable. There were some longer times in the lobby, but given everything else, I'm okay with that. Lastly, every staff member I interacted with was more than patient & kind with me during the times I've called and visited. Could not be more grateful for the staff here.
