good grief, every time I have to schedule an Invisalign appt for my daughter it seems to get harder and harder. first, a bit of warning - their website says they have Saturday hours. that is a lie - they don't. second, they say they have 4 doctors working out of this location. as of this afternoon, they confirmed that they only have two doctors working at this location. so once again their website lies. I have no problem with the doctor we are assigned to but she's only there 1 day a week and only during school hours so your child will have to miss school every time they have a follow up. you can't talk to anyone to schedule appointments - it's only through txts. and they basically say this is the next available appt. nothing else available. soooo frustrating. it's like they take your Invisalign money all up front, promise to monitor the patient through the process but are never available for it! read more

Dr. Siargos and Dr. Wine are magical and amazing! My 13-year-old grandson had protruding, overlapping front teeth that without braces would have eventually meant surgery. Today, age 15, his smile and teeth are picture-perfect. His orthodontist, Dr. Barbara Siargos, is a precision professional who made a tentative boy comfortable from the start. She transformed his condition from a medical and cosmetic mess to having the healthiest, most beautiful teeth I could imagine. On two occasions, Dr. Wine saw Caedan for immediate issues and was caring, professional and quick to resolve his retainer emergencies. The office and technical staff are highly knowledgeable and warmly welcomed us at every visit. No vetting system is perfect every time, but it was in this case. Dr. Siargos is a sensitive, engaging and thorough orthodontist from pre-braces to retainer. I research important things on-line, talk with office personnel and check credentials and references where appropriate. An orthodontist for my grandson was highly important. I know orthodontics is science but Dr. Siargos works magic, too. Not once during his two years of treatments did our teenager complain about going to see Dr.Siargos, for whom incidentally, he never had to wait. Brilliant! Highly recommended! read more

I absolutely love the front desk staff and The orthodontist is A+! But the assistants is the back are rude, always in a rush or to busy gossiping amongst themselves (but loud enough for patients to hear) My son is the third to get treatment here and I have encountered the rude staff before with my other two children, but it's convenient for the kids to walk over and like I said the girls at the front are super Stars and so is Doctor. I was even there once when the doctor had to tell the girls in the back didn't they have something to be doing, so I'm sure he's aware of the impolite lazy girls he's got back there! I understand you get comfortable in your job, but it is an open space with no privacy, so chill with the BS and do what your three for ladies and take care of the patients! I came in because a piece of my permanent retainer of 10 years started poking out and bothering my tongue. I was very worried I would have to get a replacement retainer (which is $$$$$) or risk my teeth moving if I didn't get to the orthodontist soon enough. WPO was able to fit me in within a few days. I got to my appointment early and I only waited for a few minutes. Love when you don't have to wait for an appointment. Dr. Wine was very nice and fixed my retainer in less than 2 minutes. Yikes. This entire place is a disaster. I seem to remember a lot more negative reviews for the business a few weeks ago... that seems a bit shady, no? When I had my braces removed about a decade ago, I had a permanent retainer put in on my bottom teeth so I didn't have to deal with one every day. In this entire 10 years, I never thought it would break, so when that finally happened I didn't know where to turn. My orthodontist retired 7 years ago, so I was pretty much on my own to find one in Chicago. Wicker Park Orthodontics is a preferred BCBS IL provider, so I figured I'd give it a try, despite some negative reviews here on Yelp. This entire place was a waste of time, beginning to end. Getting an appointment was very difficult, especially in an emergency situation (my retainer was falling off and poking my gums - ouch). The person on the phone who helped me seemed to not know anything about the appointment system or when doctors were available to see patients. She also didn't know about insurance and told me I'd have to ask when I came in. Fine. I arrive for my appointment and the entire waiting room is PACKED. There's not even one seat available for me to sit in. I arrived early in hopes to just be seen early and get the entire consultation over with, so that's my fault. The entire desk staff was totally rude. Two different receptionists asked me if I 'needed help' and did nothing when I replied. What is that? They told me that I'd have to come back at my scheduled time, so I took paperwork with me and left. Three minutes after I walked out and got in my car (seriously), I got a call from a receptionist telling me that I can't come back - they need to reschedule. What? "The doctor in the office today only sees children" was the exact response I received. You asked for my birth date when I called. You knew which doctor was working the day I was scheduled - what kind of unprofessional oversight is this? At my real appointment, every person in the office but the doctor was totally curt and unpleasant. I feel like part of my poor treatment came from the fact that I'm an adult with orthodontic needs, not a 13-year-old (I know, totally weird). After a somewhat pleasant conversation with the doctor, I realized they don't give preferred provider discounts for BCBS customers (which a lot of other orthos do) and they charge more than other orthos in the area. I attempted to cancel my follow-up appointment and waited on the phone for 29 minutes listening to this message: "Please hold, your call is important to us. Someone will be with you shortly." Really? I'm sure my call is really important to you... so important, no one works the front desk in your office to service customers. Bottom line: don't go here. Their office is modern, fancy and flashy and that's about all it is: a fancy exterior covering up their horrible, unprofessional orthodontic practice. The staff is impersonal, rude and generally ignorant of their own services, prices and payment plans. Not worth your time at all. read more

It would have ruined my trip, but WPO was able to fit me in for a last-minute bonding. What a relief! They were all very friendly. Also the facility is very attractive, clean and neat. I was very surprised to read the most recently posted review about Wicker Park Orthodontics. My children and I have been patients since they opened and have had nothing but incredibly pleasant experiences each and every time we have visited. I also live in the neighborhood and have many friends whose children are patients of the practice and have given them nothing but rave reviews as well. Contrary to what the last review stated, I think the modern look of the office fits perfectly with the urban, hip look of the neighborhood, not to mention its residents. The waiting room is usually full, but as a patient, when I walk in and see a full waiting room, i take it as a GOOD sign! And, as most ortho appointments go, you are in and out of the office fairly quickly. There has never been a time where seats haven't been readily available as patients are constantly being called. We have never had to wait for a doctor running behind, which is important to me with young children. The front desk staff, the assistants, and especially the doctors have been knowledgeable and kind. My children and I are patients of Dr. Wine. He has a wonderful demeanor and is fantastic with my kids. He explains things very well. When asked questions about our treatment, braces, procedures, etc...he is extremely patient and has always made sure I have a full understanding about our treatment plan. My kids actually look forward to seeing him and to changing the color of their braces each time! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for exceptional orthodontic care. read more

Oh my, this place is deplorable! Dental equipment on the floor, no partitions for patient privacy, conducting business open and about with other patients. The service is upmost the top notch starting from the friendly professional staff at the front desk all the way to hygienists and technicians leading up the the orthodontist himself, Dr Wine. The facility is modern and professional. Appointment times are kept which is great for those whose time is very valuable. Dr Wine is an affable chap and he certainly knows what he's doing. I love this office and the staff who works there. They are awesome greeters and tried to place me in A.S.A.P for a following appointment. The doctor was also great with me they explained the treatment I was going to need and I total for got of my fears and my nerves for dentists. The staff was always smiling and also asked me if I had understood everything the doctor explained to me. They are also spanish speakers so that was even a plus. Besides I don't know much about dentist words but I found a great orthodontic office to refer people who may need braces and who also may need a spanish translator. Absolutely love WPO! I had braces before, but had relapse after my bottom retainer broke. I had a TON of concerns and questions, as having orthodontic work as an adult is less then desirable....but Dr. Wine was always beyond helpful and reassuring. After a quick four months of Invisalign, my teeth look even better than they did after my first round of braces! Would definitely recommend WPO to anyone looking for that perfect smile. read more

This has been the best experience I have ever had with a professional service. The team is always smiling and accommodating. They are like family! I've been with them for several years due to my son's treatment being very lengthy. Going into the office is like going to visit family. Dr. Wine was very attentive and thorough. He always gave me updates on course of treatment and I never felt like any questions was silly. Love this place! The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Dr. Wine just finished treatment on my second kid. He was always patient with my kids, explained everything very clearly, and was very straight forward and kind. Clearly explaining the treatment to to me and my children was a major factor in choosing our orthodontist. Of course price is a major issue as well, and their fees were incredibly reasonable. I rarely write a review of any place of business. However, I feel compelled to say something about Wicker Park Orthodontics now that my child has finished treatment. I have a 14 year old beautiful little girl who is wheel chair bound. The staff and the Doctors couldn't have been nicer to us and made our visits easy yet made my daughter feel like she was just like every other child that was getting braces. They moved chairs and equipment Before she came into the treatment area so that she would not feel self conscious about being viewed by the other kids as different. Dr Wine always joked with her about the latest music and videos that appeal to her age group. In short, it was the best experience for me and especially her than we have had in any medical or dental office. And she loves her new smile. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I went here back when I was a freshman in college in order to transfer my orthodontic care from my home state to here in Chicago where I was attending school. When I went in they kept asking me why I didn't go back to my old dentist to finish my treatment and I kept telling them he was 1800 miles away. (That should have been the first warning.) So then the orthodontist examined my teeth and he said I didn't need braces and they needed to be removed. So I set a date and went back for the removal. A technician removed them and it took her about 10 minutes. Then she sprayed my mouth with a fluid and when I went to go rinse my teeth, I looked in the mirror and was shocked. I still had gaps in my mouth and my alignment was still really off. When I walked back over to the technician she started talking really fast and asking if I wanted to have my braces done there. I told her that I would go somewhere else because I was disappointed. When I went to pay I handed them my credit card and they charged me $600!!!! It was double what I was originally told on the phone and they said that it was because of the appliance. All she did was cut my wire and remove my brackets. It only took 10 minutes if that! This is a HORRIBLE place and I don't suggest anyone go here. They are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing!! read more
