The dental hygienists and dentists are good at this location. The office staff is terrible! Double check paperwork and call to remind them of any pending dental notices. Twice they told me that they'd call me when their braces would arrive. I never got a call and after a few weeks I had to call and they said that they have them. No call??? So far so good. I chipped a tooth. Got an appointment very quickly. I booked online which was super easy and then the front desk followed up with a few questions to make sure my visit was smooth. Staff was super friendly and the appointment went pretty quickly. The procedure I'll need is a bit pricey but they gave me all payment options and price up front. I'll go back in a couple of weeks for the procedure but all in all a great experience. And I'm quite fearful of the dentist so this is as glowing a review as I can give. read more

I had been a client at another dentist for decades, with my family, and he retired and I switched to CDS around 6 years ago. it's been like moving from the 19th century to the 21st. So to begin, I'll first say that Dr. Wolf and his staff at the Mayfair office are amazing and I really appreciated their kindness. Great interaction and I really felt comfortable. However, I was referred to their endodontist Dr. Teahen at the West Loop location, and that's where it all went south. I've never experienced such a dismissive, abrupt conversation with a healthcare professional in my life. Clearly he realized this, as he called me later that night to apologize. While I'm sure he's good at his job, I can't have someone that I don't feel a rapport with working on me. I do appreciate the follow up call though. My other issue is the exorbitant fee for a scan. They state insurance won't cover them and charged me $300 out of pocket. The place I went to for a 2nd opinion was horrified, saying that they have never seen more than $100 fee. When I picked up a cd of the scan I couldn't even use it, as whomever downloaded it didn't include one of the files necessary to play it. So I spent $400 at this office to have a bad experience and a cd of a scan I can't use. Bummer. Lastly, getting a response from the West Loop office is difficult. Overall it was a pretty bad experience. I'd recommend Mayfair and Dr. Wolf though? read more

I missed getting a cleaning almost 2 years because the other places I went to were always such a hassle and/or a disappointment. I was referred to CDS by my wife, and for once she was right about something! The staff here is extremely friendly and welcoming! But what makes this place even better is the professionalism and expertise I received from top to bottom. Everyone was so efficient and thorough! On top of that they use top of the line technology and equipment that makes each visit a pleasure and an experience of its own. I highly recommend these guys and I'm looking forward to seeing them on my next appointment. Oh! I was seen immediately, and my orthodontist took an extensive amount of time to explain the plan of action, as well as detail the prognosis, and outline the financial outlay associated with my 18 month treatment plan. I came to this dentist after some horrible experiences with previous dentists. I have to say this was the best dentist I have ever been to. Huge props to Fotiny (ask for her!) the hygenist for taking the care of my cleaning. She was very delicate and took the time to make sure my teeth were sparkling and to inform me on some things with my dental hygiene routine I didn't know about. I recently came here for a cleaning. Making an appointment was very simple and the receptionist was very helpful. Checking in was smooth and they take COVID protocols very serious. I was taken in the back and the hygienists Rosa was amazing and super kind. She was very detailed, explained everything and ensured I was super comfortable. The dentist Ben was truly amazing and very approachable to ask questions. I love that they are transparent with their billing and inform you of everything that is covered with your insurance. I recently moved out of the loop and into the area so I decided to switch dentist offices out of convenience. I wanted to pick an office that had a similar feel to what I was used to downtown with technology and service. Chicago Dental Studio's Mayfair location fit that perfectly. Dr. Hulsof is fan'freakin tastic! After my initial cleaning visit I had some filling replacements to be done (which I knew was true per the recommendation of my last dentist) so I was back for a couple visits after. Not only did he explain things clearly but he also made sure to prompt me with a description of what I would feel before he made any moves with the work to be done. Probably one of the most pleasant dental work visits I've had in a long time... he was gentle, communicative, and had a great vibe that made me feel at ease. My *only* gripe, which would make this review really a 4.25 and not a 5, is the "hard sell" of the dental hygienist on my initial visit. She, and all the dental hygienists I encountered on my visits, are super sweet and pleasant BUT I could do without the hard sell on additional cosmetic services. It made me uneasy for the doctor's initial consult so I had my guard up when he arrived. Luckily he did not follow suit and I was able to trust his recommendations for other necessary work. I mean, if you have perfectly straight teeth with the exception of one or two teeth, is it really necessary to offer Invisalign? All in all, once we got past that it was consistently great service.
