When you hire Prodigy, you are hiring them for the service and knowledge and not their pricing. From my first consultation with Paco, it has been nothing but smooth sailing. They communicate everything, every step of the way. I was most impressed with their service this morning. They did some re-wiring and last night and this morning, my network was not working at 100%. I called their after-hours support at 6am, and with the urgency of the matter, Paco called me back within minutes. He had his crew back here within the hour and they fixed everything. BEWARE!!!!!! For…read moreanything but the most basic of compter repairs, I would steer clear of Northside Tech Support. I took my laptop to Northside because my laptop screen was flickering from time to time. Usually, I repair my computers myself but have been very busy with work and thought I would take it to "the professoinals" at Northside Tech Support so they could quickly make the necessary repairs and I could get back to work. Besides the flickering screen, my laptop had no other issues, was physically and mechanically in great shape and functioned near perfectly. Three weeks and a few days after I had dropped off my computer at Northside and many phone call later, I was told that a component of my computer "crumbled" as they took it apart and that I would be needing additional parts. This was cause for great concern but based on the reviews here on Yelp.com I had seen, I figured they guys must know what they are doing. Despite my growing concern, I decided I would continue to give them the chance to fix my computer. A week or so later, I received another phone call from them where they told me that they had to order some additional parts because their eBay parts supplier and they could not figure out which parts were the correct ones to fit my computer. eBay parts seller?? When asked, Northside told me they get all of their parts for their repairs from eBay, yikes!! Another week or ten days later, I called to inquire about the status of my repair. They told me they still had not figured it out. I asked that they put my machine back together and informed them that I would be picking it up and taking it to another repair facility. Kevin was very upset by this and told me that he "needed more time." I informed him that if he could not repair my computer in the just over four weeks he had it, he needed to give it back to me so I could have someone who knows what they are doing make the repairs. He exclaimed "you have not given me enough time!!" I could go on but after having tried to fix my computer for over a month, when I went to pick it up, my computer looked as if it had been dropped from a second story window. The outer case was cracked off and a "new" case with dents in it was my "new" cover (used part obtained form eBay), a key was broken off my keyboard and the keyboard itselft was no longer set into the computer, the computer would no longer turn on at all, and parts were and screws were missing. I had to look it over for a few minutes to try to ensure that it was even mine. I dropped of a good working computer with a flickering screen problem. Over four weeks later, I picked up a broken computer with missing parts that would no longer turn on or operate at all. I ended up having to purchase a new computer thanks to the fine handiwork of the "computer repair technicians" at Northside. They offered to pay me a nominal sum for the damage to my computer but what they gave me barely made a dent into what I had to spend for a new laptop. Like I said, if you need any type of computer repair besides the most basic of basic repair, steer far wide and exceedingly clear of this place as in my opinion and experience, they clearly do not know what they are doing.

Anyway, she somehow broke the molded piece where you insert your power cord. No idea how she did that, didn't even know it was something you could break, but there you are, it's The Queen. Anyway we took her computer in to Chat Tech Solutions to see if they could fix it, The office is small but so cute. Very open space and lots of natural light. The gentleman who was working there was very pleasant and offered us beverages while he assessed the damage to the computer. He called someone because he was not sure if the repair could be done and it turns out, they do not do that type of repair because it requires soldering. However he was kind enough to recommend another place of business, which is where we ended up going to get the repair done. For me that shows a wonderful regard for taking care of the customer, even though they did not make the sale. I will definitely consider them for other work that they can take care.

I bought it in and explained the issues. Three days later, they called me and said it was ready to pick up. When I brought it home, it worked like a gem. I can honestly say I've had no issues since that time. The work they did was amazing and they even threw in a free mouse at the time because they were worried the one sent to me by the manufacturer was adding to some problems. As proof of what I'm sharing, here's the service sticker atop my computer. Note the date. Simply put, they are miracle workers. Yeah, you may have to wait a few days but it's well worth it!!!

Later the same day, Billy came over to take a look at it. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He ran a diagnostic at my place and my harddrive was fried. So he took my laptop and external hd to try to get the data from it. Unfortunately, it was fried pretty badly, but they work with another company that specializes in data recovery. I had my important data backed up already, so i decided to get a new computer all together bc i compromised on the original one that fried out. Figured i would just get the one i really wanted. They recycled the old computer and returned my external hd the same day i made the decision. Throughout the process, i was completely informed of their progress via email. If i wanted to replace my hd and recover windows, i wouldve gladly given them my business.
