Taste: the egg waffle was not bad, but I've had better elsewhere. It is pass-able, and would give it a 3/5 Service: when we ordered, the cashier said it would take 10 minutes. There was a lady before us who ordered the egg waffle. As she reached to grab the waffle from the counter, it slipped out of her hand and it fell to the floor. Part of the egg waffle fell out unfortunately. The customer spoke to the server, and it seemed the server was giving OUR egg waffle to this unfortunate customer for free. I'm sorry she dropped her egg waffle, but why do we have to now wait another 10 minutes because the customer dropped her egg waffle?!?!?! Very POOR customer service. Or at least ask us if we do not mind waiting another 10 minutes so they can give our egg waffle to her. 1/5

I found out that Heartland Centre has an Edo Japan. I love this franchise. It's Canadian and I like the food offerings. It took me nine minutes to drive over to this eatery. It's across from Best Buy and JYSK. Skechers is nearby. What I like about this location is that it's sandwiched between Starbucks on the left and Copper Branch on the right. I love all three businesses. I was pleased. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into an available one and walked over. This eatery is large and clean. A male staffer was taking a break and chowing down. There was one customer waiting for his order. His order was ready. As he went to fetch it from the counter, it allowed me to look at the chicken ramen deal. The ramen has tonkotsu broth and it comes with a fountain drink. Sold! I got a nice, friendly woman who took my order. I went with the chicken ramen soup combo. I had my Edo rewards barcode scanned. I earn points that convert to dollars that you can use towards the cost of a future meal. Sweet! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I got a cup for my drink. She gave me my order number and said that it would be called out. I used the fountain drink machine. I filled my cup with ice and then Diet Coke. I put a lid on it and fetched a straw. My drink tasted crisp and great. I refilled my cup before I left. I sat closest to the window. The male staffer was where I would have liked to have sat down, because it was a two-seater table and I'd be closer to the machine. I got another two-seater table closer to the window. The nice female staffer came over with my ramen. It was a nice service touch. I appreciated the gesture. She said that she was happy to do it. So great! It's one reason why this place gets a perfect review. The service was stellar. The chicken ramen was excellent. Sure, it's fast food. It was good. The chicken was tender. I loved the veggies. It had corn, which was awesome! The ramen was thicker than I had imagined it to be. It was yummy. I liked the broth. It probably had more pepper than I would have liked. However, it was delicious. It wasn't salty. The pork flavour was mild, but good. I drank it all up. I put away my tray and disposed of everything. It was easy throwing away each item, as the garbage area listed which items go where. I used the washroom before I left. There were two single stalls. One had a large button to open the door for accessibility. I used the one without it. The stall was clean. I also liked the hand drier that allowed me to put my drink on top of it. I enjoyed dining here. The food and drink were awesome. Staff were friendly and excellent. I'd return again when I'm in the area. (17)

This Bingz opened in late 2025. When I was last by Bingz, it was exceptionally busy. There weren't any places to sit down. The lineup to order food was long. I said that I'd return when the hype died down. I came here after work on a Wednesday afternoon. I parked between entrances 2 and 3, and walked over to the former. Bingz is steps away from it. Bingz is next door to Tim Hortons when you are in the mall. Bingz takes over from where Crepe Delicious used to be. The crepe place is still at CF Markville, but I have no idea where. There was a woman standing in front of the stall. I couldn't tell if she was about to order or was waiting for her food. I went with the latter and approached the order area to take a better look at the menu. I hadn't been to a Bingz for a while. I got the most helpful woman behind the counter. A larger bowl of wonton soup was going for $8.99. You can get either shrimp or pork. As much as I love soup, I needed a more substantial meal. I asked the woman what she would recommend. She said the beef burger combo, which comes with a side of wonton soup and a drink. Ah, yes. I used to order it. I said yes to the reminder that it was my go-to meal. My order consisted of these items: - Beef burger - Shrimp wonton soup - Peachy lychee fizz I paid with a credit card. I tapped. Done! I got a receipt with my order number. There's a screen mounted over everyone's heads that displays orders being made. I stood next to the woman, waiting for our orders. I noticed a couple of order kiosks to my right, on the wall. I still like ordering with the help of a human. The nice woman announced my order number. I approached the counter and got my combo on a tray. I thanked her and went around the corner to find a spot to chow down. At roughly 4 pm, there were plenty of tables and cubed seats to dine in. I liked the sink area to wash your hands after you're done eating, throw away your garbage, and put your tray away. So cool! I loved my combo. It was great getting reacquainted with the beef burger. The bun was flaky and crispy. The beef was tender and so juicy. Yummy! The shrimp wonton soup was excellent. The plastic spoon was too small to scoop up each wonton properly. I had a few splash moments with the wontons. They were yummy, packed with flavourful shrimp filling. I loved the soup, which had a hint of salt and was perfect with the green onions and delicate egg noodles. The peachy lychee fizzy drink was so good. Oh, how I have missed the perfectly balanced peach and lychee flavours as a fizzy beverage. It was slightly sweet and completely refreshing. I had an excellent experience here. It may have fuelled my love to have Bingz every week. Watch out! I'll be back again soon. (362)

Tips: - This restaurant accepts reservations…read more - Staff are extremely patient. - Portion sizes are generous. - You need a key to use the washroom. My best friend hadn't dined out in ages. He was a caregiver for his mom for several years. She passed in November. I said that when he was ready, I'd treat him to a meal. His birthday was in late May. We were both free last Saturday for dinner. I chose Double Sushi on the Danforth, across from where my first family doctor used to be. It is also a ten-minute drive from his home. I called the eatery and spoke to a nice woman. I asked if this eatery did reservations. It did. Yay! I gave her my name and phone number. We had a reservation for 5:30 pm on a Saturday. My friend is notoriously late. I am perhaps too patient for my own good. I once waited for him for two hours at a subway station platform. We both didn't own cell phones. Times felt much simpler. Frankly, I got to this eatery late by roughly ten minutes. I took the 404 - Don Valley Parkway. Bad move when I got to the Sheppard exit. It was a parking lot and barely moved. I ended up backroading it from York Mills - Ellesmere down to the Danforth. I made a left turn onto Danforth Avenue from Dawes Road. I pulled into a small parking lot for Pizza Pizza and Double Sushi. The former used to be huge, but it ended up selling half of its property, which is now Double Sushi. There are two designated parking spots for Double Sushi. i nabbed the last spot closest to a dumpster. I was elated finding parking. I walked over to the entrance that faces Danforth Avenue, on the south side. I was immediately greeted by the woman who took my reservation. I apologized for being late. She was okay with it and showed me our table. I got water and a Diet Coke with ice in a glass to start. I looked at the menu. I knew that I wanted a bento box meal. It's totally me. I decided to text my friend and ask where he was. The answer wasn't good. He was still at home. Not good at all. I felt like being at that subway station platform again. His phone was charging in his home. He was in his backyard gardening. He lost track of time until he walked into his house at nearly 6 pm. He said that he'd arrive at 6:45 pm -- over an hour after the reservation time. He was estimating the time taking the bus. He then changed his mind and took an Uber. I have only taken an Uber with friends in Charlotte, NC, and to and from the car dealership when servicing needed more than a day. I have never taken one because I was late. We are different. Yet, we accept who we are. He had a good heart. Just tardy! He came dashing into the restaurant at 6:30 pm, apologizing. He hasn't changed. I don't think I have. It was as if his Uber driver knew that he was late by getting him here quickly. My order was the following: - Diet Coke - Chicken teriyaki bento box My friend's order: - Coke - Chicken teriyaki Both our meals came with salad and miso soup. We loved the tangy dressing on the salad. The veggies were crisp. The miso soup was excellent, with small cubes of tofu and plenty of flavour. Our food took practically no time to arrive. The staff here were super accommodating, as we stayed till it closed at 9:30 pm. They didn't push us out. The woman gave us a glass carafe of water towards the last hour being there. My friend and I always have a lot to chat about. My friend and I loved the chicken teriyaki. We got a generous portion of chicken morsels that were tender and yummy. The sauce was perfect. Not too sweet. Not too salty. Like baby bear, it was just right. The chicken teriyaki came with steamed rice. It was the perfect portion size. My bento box came with tempura. It wasn't oily. The batter was crispy and yummy. The veggies were delicious. The shrimp were plump and succulent. I got a California roll. The six pieces were delicious and tasted fresh. The menu had a photo of sliced oranges as the fresh fruit. My friend didn't want it, which is why he got the chicken teriyaki only. I got a honeydew melon wedge. I was delighted to get something different. I love fruit and this melon was sweet and juicy. I headed to the washroom. Our server came over to me with a key. I learned that you need a key for the washroom. If you are a Pizza Pizza customer, you also need a key for the adjacent washroom. The women's washroom was clean. This eatery has been around for a while, as it had a worn look and feel. Everything was fine. No complaints. The corridor between the washrooms and the restaurant was heated. It was like being in a sauna. I was here for nearly four hours and my friend for three. We had the best food over good conversation. It was great meeting up with him. I paid with a credit card. He wanted to pay for being late. Next time. I tipped and let the woman know that everything was fantastic. A lot of people do takeout here. I'd love to return to do the same or simply dine in. It's decent food in a relaxed setting. (254)

It came in both drink and larger bottle sizes. I approached the counter and got a nice man. He said that they were out of soy beverage. Okay, what is wrong with drinks at food stalls in this food court? It's only 3 pm and they are out of drinks. Yikes! Luckily, this stall had other cold drinks. I got a Diet Coke in a can. I paid with a credit card. I tapped. Done! The man said that I could help myself to my Diet Coke. It was a nice, cold can. It was $1.75. On DoorDash, it's $1.95. You save a bit if you order directly at the food stall. It was nice to enjoy my drink with my food. It was cold and refreshing.
