    La chicken crepe

In a rare turn of events, my husband and I ordered the same breakfast, and that was a mis-step. The restaurant is in a strip mall with a ton of parking. It's easy to get to. We were told we could sit wherever we liked and our orders were taken very quickly and our food came out pretty quickly too. The waitstaff was very kind and did a great job. The place settings were really cute. I didn't love that the decor were displays of random french things...but my husband liked that. My husband got a machiatto that he thought was weird. He doesn't quite know what he thought was wrong though. I very much liked the La Chicken Crepe, I liked the mix of potatoes and chicken and the bechamel. My husband did not really like it. And neither of us could finish ours. We should have gotten two different crepes. Oh well. Overall it was a a decent experience. A solid 4 for me - My husband says "a 3 on food a 5 on everything else (decor, service, etc)."

Great food. Great service. After our second visit we will continue to come here. The Breakfast Sausage is very flavorful. The Chicken Crepe was extremely good. They don't skimp you on the Breakfast Potatoes. The crust on the Quiche is very flaky and tasty. The first time the Bacon was extremely thin. Better the second time around. Excellent Desert Pastries

So I have visited here several times. By far, this is my mother's current favorite restaurant. I have had the American breakfast, salads, dinner entrees and desserts with coffee. All were exceptional, delicious, and expertly plated. We really needed a quality French restaurant in the area and now we have one. Give them a try, you will not be sorry.

Chez Cani, 6375 N. Wickham Road, Suite 108, Melbourne, Florida 32940- 1-Star Chef Nico, who came with his Wife, Carine (Carine + Nicolas = Cani), and children to America from Bordeaux, France, is an inventive creative chef, or so it says on the Chez Cani website. If Nico wants to continue to portray this image, however, then his restaurant should NOT have an open kitchen. I ordered La Melba Crepe and watched as it was improperly prepared by Nico, which resulted in a rubbery mess. But what I found most offensive about the whole "French" arrogance exuded by Nico is that he took a plastic bottle of Hershey's Strawberry Flavored Syrup and drizzled it all over my crepe--I mean from the actual Hershey's bottle--No attempt was even made to conceal the label. The Chez Cani website states, "All ingredients are selected for their quality and origin. Here we do not negotiate with taste and quality. Because YOU deserve the best." Oh, really? When did Hershey, Pennsylvania become a part of France? My jaw dropped. I tapped my lunch companion on the hand and asked him to look at what Chef Nico was doing. Being a cynical Millennial, he laughed out loud, shook his head, and with a straight face said, "I think they are cutting corners." Julia, the daughter, was our serveuse. No complaints about her service, but as we drove home, instead of the typical bavardage about politics and world events, we mulled over the Hershey's syrup situation for the full 20-minute ride. I wanted to get a quote for this review, so I called Chez Cani an hour later. Nico answered the phone in perfect English. When I asked about his use of Hershey's syrup, he snarled something in French that I couldn't make out and slammed down the phone. The Big Boy says, "Not only is Nico an impudent philistine, but it's also my opinion that he is a fraud. Stay away from Chez Cani."

I went back for breakfast and tried the Meat Lover Crepe ($14) with another Cappuccino. The Crepe was made from buckwheat flour and all together it reminded me of the meat lover style of pizza. It was very tasty and FLAVORFUL without being too salty. Together with the Cappuccino it was a very satisfying meal. I will return to try some of their sweet Crepe creations soon.

My good friends, Eric and Jennifer, invited me to breakfast at ChezCani. This place is absolutely authentic French! The chef owner is the real thing. I ordered the eggs benedict and was very happy with my dish. The coffee was perfect and the service was very good. I couldn't leave without trying their homemade desserts. I had the Basque Cake and the Lemon Tart Merinque, to die for!!! I highly recommend this place. Treat yourself to some french cuisine, try something new. We're very fortunate to have ChezCani in our neighborhood. 4 Stars!!!

We came here after seeing the line at another popular breakfast place nearby. We are SO glad we did! Great atmosphere! Great food! Great service! We will definitely be going back.

It is a small cafe run by a man and his wife. The husband is the chef and the wife handles the front. Richard was not familiar with French food by now he is. We started with sharing tender ramekin of escargots that were cooked perfectly with butter, garlic and fresh parsley. He never had it before but he did try one then grab another then I taught him to take the crusty French bread and soak up the garlic butter. We both ordered the beef bourguignon which is my favorite French dish. We both enjoyed it but it was not as rich and flavorful as I have had in the past. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which was yummy and could not finish it all. Richard had the perfectly cooked and well presented lava cake which I will get next time when I come. The icing on the cake was that a family was eating dinner with grandparents, sons, Daughers and grandchildren. As the grandmother went to the restroom she stopped by to say what a joy it was to watch the two of us talk and enjoy each other. The grands who were 7 and 5 also chatted with us and asked me lots of questions about the places that I have visited. The son and DIL were from the country of Jordan. They were all delightful. He gave me some advise about Poland. When we left the restaurant, there was a full moon over the ocean which added a special accent to the day. At 10:20 tonight there is a SPACE X rocket ship blasting off from Cape Canaveral. We will watch it from the beach!!!!
