Food here is "FANTASTICALLY DELICIOUS" and always extra fresh. We love going here for the delicious French cuisine, but also the friendly staff. The owner/chef will send out free samples to taste from time to time, which give it an added feel of dining with family. The lunch menu is priced quite fairly, and dinner is more on the pricey side but worth it. Our favorites are the fresh pastries and desserts. Love it and hope they are here to stay. I found that they were open last week and found their takeout menu. So I ordered and picked up tonight. This was WONDERFUL. I asked if it could feed 3 and the chef said 2, maybe 3. I ordered an additional baguette just in case. The platter was beautiful. There are 3 of us (not big eaters) and we had leftovers. I am placing our order for quiches for Sunday. We were so happy to see a new breakfast place in our area. And a French theme makes it so interesting and different! Their Facebook page says they're a French bistro with an American touch. We had breakfast there March 6, a.couple of weeks after they opened. Tamara, our server, made us welcome and explained the theme and those restaurant background. We ordered the American breakfast with a side of a half a French baguette with butter and jam (ordered as an add on), and a quiche with potatoes. Most of the breakfasts list home fries or salad and it was my impression you can substitute one for the other. The food was fresh, seasoning flavorful and everything was hot- an absolute must for breakfast! The sausages with the American breakfast were sooo delicious! Really nice atmosphere and I plan to return. read more

What a lovely place. Very quaint. Friendly staff. Came for dinner. Scallops with chorizo risotto very tasty. Salmon with real hollandaise sauce was wonderful. The rice with the salmon could have used some salt. Dessert lemon tart. Wonderful and nice and tart. Will have to come back and try breakfast. read more

Wow! So cute, so clean. Prices are so reasonable for the gourmet level meals you get here. A whole sandwich with a huge side salad was under 8 bucks!!! Side of fruit salad yummmm! Wish they would post on Yelp, but they do on Facebook. They have a special menu this week - 4 apps, 2 foil gras, escargot and sea scallops. There are several special entrees and desserts. They all sound amazing. Open 5-7 for supper. Check them on FB. I am giving this a 3 star bc I have not eaten these items. ChezCani is fantastic. As good as any daily eating French restaurant I have ever eaten in, including in Paris. And a reasonably priced French wine list with thoughtful selections on it. Will be back again and again. read more

My family and I went in to celebrate an early Mother's day. We had heard a "rumor" about them closing down and kindly asked the waitress about it and she confirmed it. We were very upset as we had enjoyed coming here. All was well until the owner approached us asking where we had heard this. He very aggressively stated that he "was the owner and would know if they were closing down" MANY times. It then being very awkward, we simply stated how we asked due to us not wanting the rumor to be true. He then kept being aggressive and condescending towards us asking if the person we had heard it from was American. Because of this owner and his extremely awful attitude, he has lost us as customers and if he does this to others will lose his business even sooner than he already is! Not happy after he yelled at my family and would never want someone to have to just go through what we went through on what was supposed to be a happy day. read more

Decided to try Chez Cani today for lunch. It is a really nice little cafe. I wasn't starving so I got the French Onion Soup and my wife got the Quiche with Salmon. Everything was delicious and the service was very polite. The Chef owner came out and greeted us and was very nice and thankful for our patronage. Walking to our car my wife said " I really loved it there" . We will definitely go back. How can I forget!! We shared a Nutella crepe for dessert and it was awesome. Go check it out! read more

Second time here this week, absolutely delicious! French decor is beautiful, with friendly servers. The Eggs Benedict was truly the best I have ever eaten. Some dishes are served with a refreshing salad, and the homemade vinaigrette is the very best! Mixed basket of warm French pastries is a must for sharing. Food and atmosphere is great . The server doesn't shine with personality and she followed us out to the parking lot as she thought we didn't pay when we absolutely paid cash! And a nice tip too! Most embarrassing and she never apologized at all! So what happened to our money is what I'd like to know ! It was inside the black pay book so where did it go! This turned me off to this place and I loved it til that happened. We even returned with a large group. Still not a smile from the server! If she's not happy log find a different job. Live near here and only noticed the establishment while looking for a late lunch. Pleasantly surprised...it was perfect. Had French onion soup, the vegetarian savory crepe and my husband his favorite a Nutella crepe...had leftovers and the prices were very reasonable! The food was fine. Not exceedingly great but not bad either. The server on the other hand was not great. She was an older waitress who seemed either overwhelmed or taking the "french hospitality" stereotype too far. When we got in we ordered a juice for our daughter and coffees. By the time we were ordering food we needed refills on all 3. When our food came we reminded the waitress, the coffe refills never came and she only brought the juice after we had asked for the check another 30 minutes later. When I told her I didnt want to be charged for the juice as we were about to leave she gave a very patronizing "it'll be my gift" response. While we were sitting she also got into a rather unfriendly conversation with another group who sat at a different table than she wanted and she ordered them somewhat rudely to the other side of the room because they couldn't sit in the table they wanted during to distancing rules, understandable but could have been conveyed differently read more
