I was really hoping for a taste of home this year for Christmas and decided to try their bûche de Noël instead of making my own. When I asked about the price of a whole yule log, I was told it was over $70, so I opted for a single slice at $7. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The cake was completely dried out and hard, nothing like the soft, spongy gâteau de Savoie or génoise texture it should have been. The coffee buttercream was also surprisingly bland and not sweet enough. I'm grateful I didn't commit to the full cake. I stopped by Jaqueline's new location in Suntree today. I have recently returned from Europe and I was in great need of a great latte and something devinely sweet. It also gave me a chance to try something new. I entered and this place is absolutely stunning. Very different in decor than the downtown location but reminiscent of the more modern boulangerie I have been enjoying recently. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful and after getting a look inside the kitchen it appears that they have production on site. Today I ordered a latte, croque madame, croissant, day old sourdough, and a huge piece of carrot cake. First the latte, the young lady expertly crafted this latte for me. No stupid leafs or heart shapes, just pure excellence. Totally worth $4 She also hand assembled and cooked my croque madame. The bread was fresh, ham and cheese topped with Bechamel and a beautifully turned egg. Once the yolk was cracked and flowed all over the rest, I was in heaven. A bit steep but in my opinion totally worth the price at $13 The croissant to be honest was the least satisfying of my experience today. Though it looked appealing, it was very small and had no crisp exterior whatsoever. The texture was far more like brioche than croissant. I recently enjoyed amazing croissant in France at 1 euro 30 centime. $3.50 for a croissant anywhere is simply ridiculous. So many people wouldn't realize that carrot cake is actually very popular in Europe, especially France. I've seen it on countless menus from Paris to Nice. Today I decided to give her Carrot Cake a try and it was delicious and just the sweet my heart needed. Well worth the $7 price of admission. Lastly, the day old sourdough. The birds that decorated the loaf are a joy and make the cutting somewhat sad. Liclily even after slucing the birds can still be seen quite clearly. I plan to serve it with a nice stew tonight. Niki has been under the weather lately (nothing serious or covid related) and sourdough is her favorite. Jaqueline's has always made perfect loaves and this was more of the same, a preservative free, perfect loaf which we will devour one sensational slice at a time. $8 very reasonable for a truly artisan loaf. 4 out 5 isn't perfect but it's pretty darn good read more

I have passed this bakery a lot so one day I decided to stop in. No one was in the bakery when I went in and bakery items were limited. my shock was paying 19. something for two scones and an eclair. I haven't tried the scones but the eclair was subpar. read more

A Great place for a delicious breakfast. Jacqueline's Bakery on Wickham is a wonderful place to get a meal. It is right along Wickham road in Suntree. There is plenty of parking. As you approach, the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods beckons you inside. The selection is nothing short of impressive, offering a tantalizing array of treats to satisfy any craving, from flaky croissants to decadent cakes. It could be a haven for pastry enthusiasts. The service at Jacqueline's is warm and welcoming. The staff members were eager to assist us in finding what we wanted for breakfast. The counter is directly in front of the entry door with the display case to the right with lots of treats. You order at the counter and they prepare your food and either call you or bring it to your table. The majority of the seating is inside with a few 2-person tables outside on both sides of the entry. The seating inside is a mix of tables along 2 walls. I ordered a slice of quiche. It came out quickly and was very good. The prices are reasonable for our current economy. It was about $9 for a quiche Lorraine slice. The cozy ambiance and delectable offerings make Jacqueline's Bakery on Wickham a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for excellent service. read more

I walked in and the young girl was helping a customer. I waited a couple of minutes to get some type of greeting, like I'll be right with you or acknowledge that I am there. All I heard was crickets. I walked out , they must not need the business that bad. I previously bought a pastry there. It wasn't fresh. I thought to give it a second chance. Like they say, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. The place is empty, now I know why. I will not be going there again. They lost my business. read more

I was very unhappy with the service and the product I received from Jacqueline's bakery after several phone calls and emails with photos and descriptions of what I wanted. I received the complete opposite and nothing of what was discussed also when then talking to the owner in terms of what was wrong with the order all she could say was that she doesn't do things on a small scale offered no help in rectifying this situation I would not recommend Jacqueline's. If you're looking for a personalized treat they can not do it as they are just a machine bakery, producing the same things every day. read more

This is a cute little cafe with plenty of indoor seating and lots of lovely looking French pastries inside a glass case. They are a bit pricey, but it was fun to try a few different things. The macaroons were yummy, but not the best I've ever had. The chocolate croissant, after heated up in my microwave tasted like a delicious buttery breakfast treat. read more

Extremely slow and inefficient, and overpriced. I went to get a box of goodies for a friend. Sadly, I also added on a sandwich for myself that should take seven minutes to cook. I am told. The sandwich was put into the easy bake over last. That is very disrespectful of my time. I was very much so looking forward to a nice bakery that does not operate like a slow European French bakery. I don't care how good this Pokémon store might taste and I think they should also have some nicer bags. Most of the pastries I tasted here were excellent! I like the fact that I noticed there were french speaking patrons during my first visit here! The service was efficient but did think the price was high! The almond chocolate pastry was excellent but apple turn over barely had apples in it more like apple jam... I like a lot of fresh apples in my turn overs. Overall I found it to be spendy like all small bakeries but still TASTY!! If you want cheap croissants one has to still go to Publix... This is a new Jacqueline's Bakery location, which just opened in mid June 2022. The original location is in downtown Melbourne. I'm happy that they have opened this location further north, where parking and congestion isn't such an issue. I would read my lengthier review of the other location with more pics too; it's about ditto for this one. But they probably have a much broader selection at the downtown location, since they evidently aren't acclimated to baking enough for this location. The clerk tells me that they usually run out of croissants and baguettes early each day. But he said they are also slow in the afternoon and evenings, as I don't think enough people realize they are open until 8:30 pm, especially since the map location info on my iPhone says they close at 4 pm; they need to get that fixed. And me listing their new location on Yelp may help. But basically I think they are baking everything at the downtown location and bringing it from there to stock this location. So everything is the same great quality of authentic French pastries, cakes, bread, quiche, salads and sandwiches. And they have excellent macaroons made from scratch, so they are free of preservatives. They taste so much better than ones from grocery stores that DO have preservatives in them. And if they happen to have the black currant ones available, those are the best! They have one of the best crème brûlées with real vanilla bean specks and flavor in it and brûlée it to order. And I love their heart-shaped chocolate cake/cookie, the Paris Brest, the palmier cookies and quiche Lorraine. I love everything they make except their carrot cake (which I don't think is a good version) and I would not buy their ice cream as both of their locations use Hershey's brand, which I think is too inferior and wish they had Haagen Dazs; but evidently they make more profit from Hershey's brand and enough people find it acceptable or preferable price-wise. read more

The snotty little girl behind the counter gave me an attitude when she got my order wrong. Stopped in to see this new location, sparse selection and when I asked who I assume was a baker, what is the load next to the baguettes she mumbled (I didn't even understand), gave me a dirty look like I shouldn't be asking the bakers anything and walked back into the kitchen. If you don't want to be spoken to by guests then don't make your way to the front of house. The gal at the register was kind and attentive but that baker has a real nasty attitude. She could have said "oh, that's X, let me tell you more about it!" Kindness goes a long way. read more

We just had a horrible experience at Jacqueline's and will not return. Aside from being pricey, they served us the wrong sandwich - which was basically 2 square pieces of ordinary bread that I can get at Wal-Mart, with a slice of turkey and some melted cheese on top. We asked for a glass of water and got a very small clear plastic cup only half filled. When we tried to talk with the owner, she rudely told us, "There's the door." Jaquelines is a true gem to Melbourne and we are so blessed to have this bakery here. The tarts...from Opera, to Lemon, to fruit, to coconut are.fantastic and reminiscent of the best cafes in New York and France, the only reason I do not give 5 stars is their cakes. We have tried red velvets, chocolate ganache, carrot and they are just dry in our opinion. I hate to be critical because I love this place and value it greatly as an asset to the community but I stick with small tarts and bites as they never fail to be heavenly. The food at Jaqueline's was very good. I had Quiche Lorraine and a plain croissant. Others at the table had Croque Madame, Baguette sandwich, fresh fruit and chocolate croissant. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Coffee and Latte were also good. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. The only comment was it is expensive. I bought a loaf of bread and didn't ask the price so I paid over $12. I spent over $100 for breakfast and a loaf of bread. So happy it was good! read more
