Ok, mixed review here.... I think the pastries are good and the service is friendly, however during the visit the service was slow and the prices were high (in my opinion, compared to other patisseries I have been to elsewhere). Maybe we caught them on a an off-day and the service is usually on point. We had a good time sitting and enjoying the food and experience. My mother and I went to French Delights while we were visiting Cocoa Village. We both got beverages, I got espresso and my mother got coffee. We also got an almond croissant. Our beverages were delicious and we shared the almond croissant and it was to die for! There is also a restroom here. We loved the service (super friendly) and the ambiance here was beautiful and warm and cozy at the same time. I wish we could have tried more options, but I can only report on two quiches and two pastries. All were excellent. The variety of quiches is unusual. My husband had the Lorraine and I had the salmon. Very nice. We also tried the chocolate croissant and the almond croissant. They were delicious. The ambience of the dining room is very nice. We popped in for some cold water then stayed for a beautiful looking delicious dessert. We had the strawberry tart and lemon meringue tart. Both were very tasty and light. The staff was kind and professional. It has a great space to enjoy food and enjoy good company. The seating area has an elegant and comfortable decor. I don't give 5 stars easily! This was our second time at French Delights. We were in Cocoa last year and by chance found this lovely spot. We came back a year later to spend time in the Cocoa area and made a point of eating lunch at French Delights. I had a delicious cheese and mushroom quiche. My husband had a Bree and turkey baguette. The croissants are perfectly flaked and buttered. they also have this delicious almond and chocolate croissant combination that is divine and delicious coffee options. The second time was unsatisfactory. Part of our order came very quickly and the food was placed on a dirty table. Almost 15 minutes passed before our cappuccinos (consistently excellent) came to the table. But our order was wrong. We had to ask for utensils. This is a place where five stars doesn't give it justice. I've been all over the world and this has comparable pastries and desserts to what you would find in France. So early this morning I stopped by this new bakery. It's a very cute bakery with seating inside and out. They have a fine selection of breads, tarts, sandwiches, and pastries. I took away a croissant, apple tart, apple turnover, and a ham sandwich There are several "French" bakeries in the area and to be honest none bring true Parisian quality. Also to be fair one can only expect something close to what one would taste in Paris here in Brevard. The croissant was a good size, flaky, slightly crisp, and very buttery. The apple turnover was flaky, crisp, and the apple filing was tasty but I just wish there was more of it. The apple tart was a treat. Crisp, flavorful, and simply beautiful. The base even had a bit of an apple custard taste and texture which was very satisfying. The ham sandwich was very traditional with butter on one side and light mayonnaise on the other. The ham and cheese were very nice and I especially enjoyed the generous amount of pickles. I would have liked the baguette to be a bit more dense and flavorful. So of all the French bakeries in Brevard I would have to rate this as the best currently in the area. I look forward to sampling for of their offerings in the near future. read more

OMG I loved French Delights Bakery!! The decorations were beautiful from the fireplace to to the lighting. Plenty of sweet options to pick from, We try a couple of desserts and they were all delicious. Service as friendly and super accommodating. I liked the round tables perfect for including everyone in the conversation, they also have option of outside seating always a plus for those nice days or evenings. VERY disappointed in our visit here last month. We've loved coming here since they opened (on our 3-4x per year trips down to our condo there) and have told countless friends & relatives about French Delights. We always stop by, have a couple of pastries & cappuccino sitting outside (which we did, and it was wonderful as usual (this time a delicious black forest torte and a berry tart) .. or, we will have lunch .... then, we go and walk around Cocoa Village to shop .. and then come back for a big box of pastries to take home. This time, when we came back, the 2 ladies behind the counter were completely overwhelmed. One we recognized as having been there for a long time, but the other seemed new. They need more staff up front at that counter! They were trying to make coffee drinks, warm up croissants & quiches in their little household toaster oven, box up to-go pastries, clean tables and serve people sitting outside and in their dining room. It was a mess. I stood there and waited for 15 full mins while they ran around .. not being acknowledging (i get it .. ure busy) .. BUT .. then 2 of their apparent regulars walked in .. and walked right past me and the others waiting ..and they took care of them first ! These 2 entitled clowns (whoever they were ) just ignored the line, made eye contact with the staffmember they clearly knew ... and she took care of them! I look at her and said "Uhhh ... excuse me .. don't you take people in order? " She ignored that. That was enough for me .. i just left. Up to that point, she never even bothered looking at us waiting and saying "I know you're waiting .. i'll be right with you as soon as i can". I'd have been fine with that. But when these "VIP customers" walked in, they were a priority for her. I was ready to order 6-8 pastries to go (not cheap), but this blew it for me. I'm not inclined at all to come back. The pastries are delicious, but this was shit service and a shit front end operation .. and that'll ruin it for me every time. They lost what would have been a good sale. Also noticed that they appear to be ready to expand into the vacant storefront next door. They can't even handle the traffic they have now in the current small space. Huge mistake. It's a shame .. we'll miss this place. read more

We popped into French Delights, on a whim, and our tastebuds are so grateful we did! The ambiance, and the service, were wonderful, and the food was even better. Since this was our first time, we each ordered something hearty, something sweet, and something caffeinated, and we tasted each other's choices. Every single bite was amazing! Super cute spot in Cocoa Village! Stumbled upon this cafe while strolling around the village this weekend. I was shocked by how beautiful and appetizing everything looked in the cases. The prices were super reasonable as well, especially compared to similar places in the area. I ended up getting mini chocolate filled beignets which were AMAZING! Perfect consistency and sweetness. On top of the lovely food, the employees were kind and helpful and the interior of the cafe was beautifully decorated with ample seating. Off the Charts: Food was Quiche Lorraine and a Bechamel and just could not have been better ( and more filling! ). The young lady serving us (9/15/2024 at about 3 PM) was absolutely charming and one of the best servers we have ever had.
