Stopped in for the first time to this adorable cookie shop. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the cookies. I opted for the basic chocolate chip but there was nothing basic about. A hearty giant size cookies full of chocolate chips. It was the perfect tender cookie on the inside slight chew on the outside but holds its weight. Yes they are more than your typical store bought cookie but they were delicious and a great treat. The store has an adorable meet room where locals can host their own event and they help promote local artist and have a spot for selling their goods. My new favorite spot for when that sweet tooth kick in.

So far so good! Great customer service. I loved the decor and layout of the bakery. I did not get to enjoy a cake as I'd have to order ahead but the butter cookies I had were yummy! I loved their cookie designs and themes. I'll definitely be back to add more pictures and offer a more thorough review. But for now, I do recommend!

Cookies... and cookies... and... yeah.

I will go on record and admit that I do enjoy a delicious cookie or two from the famous cookie chain, Crumbl. However, if there is a local business that makes what Crumbl makes, I will always support them more. Case and point: The Sweet Heartist. Not only are they local in the Space Coast, but I will even say their cookies are often times better than Crumbl. The Sweet Heartist is a small bakery located next to a Chinese massage parlor on Wickham Rd. (yep, you heard that right). Though cookies are their specialty, they also do cakes and other sweet bakery treats. Don't get me wrong though, the star are their cookies. Usually, The Sweet Heartist will have six cookies available for the week. Three are basic, yet popular flavors, which are often times chocolate chip, sugar, and snickerdoodle. Their premium flavors change but from what is discerned on their social media presence, their lemon cookies are the most popular. They also have a selection of grab-n-go cookies including gluten-free options, multipacks, brownies, and drinks. What I really like about The Sweet Heartist, however, is their support of local businesses. First and foremost, they have other locations sell their bakery goods. I believe just recently, the famous Hotel Melby in Historic Downtown Melbourne is now selling their goods. Secondly, they sell and promote products of other independent businesses in their store including Galaxy Macarons, B's and Beans Bakery's cheesecakes, and cinnamon buns from Harvest Thyme Kitchen. Prices are fair when you compare them to prices of cookie chains that sell product that is similar. Service is very good as in friendly and efficient. Not to mention, Crystal, the head baker and owner, is - you guessed it - a sweetheart. Ultimately, I am so happy there is a mom-n-pop alternative locally whe it comes to gourmet cookies. Like I said, Crumbl, is delicious, however, I like supporting my fellow neighbors and the community. Stop on by and let Crystal know that Jan sent you. Final note: The Sweet Heartist has a loyalty program too. Take advantage of that because if you buy enough from them, you can either 1.) get $1 off your purchaase or 2.) get a free cookie.

Krystal is a very talented artist and is also a very kind and professional business owner. I was referred to her by a mutual friend and had ordered cookies for a fundraising event with our logo on them. She was super accommodating and even dropped them off for me. I've just ordered from her this month for another event!

This is a very small and cute shop that's hidden. The dark chocolate peanut butter cookie is BOMB!!! it's the best, along with their original cookie. Actually all their cookies are super delicious. They were also generous with cookie samples. They also sell little things from other local vendors which is a plus. We will definitely be back when we visit.

Always always always top notch flavor, consistency, and customer service! Weekly flavors and her keto cookies will always have you coming back! Her custom cookies are also superb and capture exactly what you're envisioning.

What do you say when two cookies are getting ready for their fight? "Let's get ready to crumble!" . If crumble cookies are your jam then I challenge you to give @thesweetheartist a try! Not only do I think they serve up a better cookie but your supporting a local small business. Out of the three cookies we tried the OG chocolate chip came out on top. The Oreo crumble cookie and funfetti came in a close second. Dietary restrictions ? Keto? Gluten Free? Lactation cookies? They got you covered! This week two new flavors are rolling out so stop by and give them a try! New flavored listed NEW! PUMPKIN QUEEN Spiced pumpkin vanilla cookie with white chocolate chips, topped with a swirl of sweet cream cheese frosting, and gold sprinkles NEW! GOOD MORNING Chewy, brown sugar cookie made with Bold Cup Coffee Espresso powder, filled with dark chocolate chips, and a light sprinkle of sea salt

**FAREWELL REVIEW**…read more After what I think may have been a couple of years, I am saddened to write that Wonder Waffel in Melbourne is officially closed since 9 p.m. on Sunday night, August 30th. It was their last "hurrah" as money went to charity, as long-time patrons enjoyed one last wonder waffel, and for me, a chance for my friends who never got to enjoy a wonder waffel to have a taste of it, too. Everything from my previous post WAS in effect until they closed plus more, but I wanted to give one last update on how wonderful Serena and Jack are, and how much their business have brought together the community and enticed my fellow Yelpers to come all the way from Orlando just to try them. Their food was always on top for what they served. You have to understand that whole foods made the way they had is always going to be in a pricier side, but what you get is good, excellent even. They soon expanded with grilled cheese waffles, ice creams, and smoothies. All were good. But what makes Wonder Waffel amazing is how much it gave back to the community, the same community that did everything to give to them. They've supported numerous charitable causes, local businesses, and was even the location of my first letterbox hide in the international scavenger hunt game, letterboxing (similar to geocaching but way older and more old school). Wonder Waffel is now closed, but the legacy that Serena and Jack left behind will always be cherished amongst those close to them, especially since many friendships were established with them. And to be fair, the fact they are a niche and their location - which I have mentioned in my initial review - is a terrible location in my honest opinion, they've endured. I can only wish them the best in their future endeavors while this sweet chapter in their lives, in our lives, comes to a close.

Whit's Frozen Custard - Melbourne - 1Scoop Red Velvet in Nutty Waffle Cone

Whit's Frozen Custard - Melbourne

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.

The staff were very helpful in explaining options and toppings. The store is extremely clean…read more Several to go flavors. Great little spot in Downtown Melbourne.

It was very sweet albeit with plenty of caffeine. :) The staff were very engaging. Almost to a fault. Sometimes a little space is nice. Food came out and it was very good. No condiments used. They have a pepper "salsa" on their roasted tomato that was very good. My omelette was large and very good. Very well balanced ingredients ratio. The two egg breakfast was also very large and well done. As we finished up the owner started playing guitar. Electric acoustic version. A little loud. So we let him know as did another two top. Whoa that went over like a lead ballon. If he had lost the amp it probably would have been pleasant. Pretty pricy but I do think it was a good value. Staff needs to turn it down a notch or two on "how is it" questions.
