Here is our experience with the new company: I reached out to A Chef's Touch on Tuesday and was told my date was available for in-house catering for 18 guests. They sent me the menu, which looked good, and I was ready to move forward. The next morning, I called and left a message to go over menu selections and ask a few questions, including details about the carving station. I didn't hear back. The following day, I called again and left another message explaining that timing was getting close and I needed to confirm my date and finalize details. Still no response. By Thursday, I sent an email requesting a callback and asking for a time to connect. At that point, it had been several days without any communication, and unfortunately, I still never heard back. After four days of trying to reach them, I moved on and hired a private chef who was not only more responsive, but also less expensive and offering a much more memorable experience. I understand that businesses get busy, but lack of communication--especially when someone is trying to book an event--is very frustrating and ultimately the reason I chose to go in a different direction. Update: There was a call back on Thursday that I missed. This is on me. I will change the star review to 2 stars. Friday at 11:00 I received this email: My apologies for not being able to take your calls the last two days, as I was in the hospital with a family member and did not have the greatest cell reception. I am available for a call today at your convenience.

Zero regrets--10/10 would share again. While casually pretending I knew what I was doing near the steak section, I found something called "Drunken Steaks." Obviously, we adopted one--a NY strip--and cooked it that night. It was so good I briefly considered writing it a thank-you note. AND THEN... plot twist: FREE BEER. I don't even drink much, but I'm not about to disrespect free. I asked for a half cup like a responsible adult. The butcher, however, was on a mission to make sure we *didn't* leave sober. Respect. Most restaurants are not good at take out even though in house is great. Especially those who try multi-ethnic dishes and do not stick to one thing. This restaurant does Indian, Chinese, AND seafood...and they do it with expertise. From the outside this place is VERY underrated and you wonder why some of the food is a little pricey. The fact is, the caliber of the food coming from this place should be in a big fancy restaurant. This is truly a gem in the cape canaveral area. I ordered Indian food to be delivered through Uber Eats here before and loved it. So we ordered various things from the menu to taste and ordered to go. We had the lobster thermidor, calamari, chicken wings (honey mustard), lamb rack, roasted garlic potatoes, Mac n cheese, veggies, and risotto with shrimp and asparagus. We have been to some pretty fancy restaurants and I'm here to tell you, there is an amazing chef behind these dishes. They are so well thought out and even take out is presented in artistic tasteful, complimentary fashion. When I called, they told me they would call 15 mins before the food was done. They were true to their word ensuring the food was hot and fresh. When I got there, there showed me each dish before bagging it to make sure I git exactly what I wanted. I saw fresh Italian basil leaves and cuts of lemon complicating various dishes. It wasn't just thrown together. These are special touches for takeout. Clearly the chef cares about presentation and complimentary garnish to the dish. Someone should invest in this and help them expand to handle more customers. Everything we had was amazing. The lobster was fresh and abundant topped with a rich, complex sauce, topped with fresh real oven bronzed cheese. It wasn't drenched in butter sauce, and you could really tell you were eating lobster and not a bunch of filler. Then the calamari was crisp and not overpowered with breading. The wings were served with sauce on the side. We respected that because we asked for extra crispy and if they would have drenched it in sauce, it wouldn't have come that way. The lamb rack came with 5 pieces of plump lamb easily peeled from the bone. So juicy and tender with the perfect sweet savory sauce coating every bite. The Mac n cheese was like mamma used to make. You could tell that creaminess had real cheeses baked in. The veggies were the perfect tenderness with a hint of butter and salt. And for the last dish...the risotto. I am a second generation Italian very well versed in Risotto. When I tell you this tasted like it was cooked for hours simmering in creamy, melt in your mouth goodness that makes you wanna overdose on this stuff???? Well, you have to try it to believe it. I could not have done better myself. The thing about this place is despite its humble look, someone behind the scenes is passionate about every dish going out the door and cares about the people they are serving. I probably won't eat in house, but only because it doesn't match the caliber of your dishes and I would want to dress up on a date for it in a quiet, dim lit romantic atmosphere with wine...which you also sell. Trust me, we will take out many more times from here to eat by candlelight at home. Many blessings to the chef and staff. I hope you make it big and we know where you go next! You deserve it!

Idk how they got so much flavor in it. Must be triple marinated or something. There were steak and shrimp options I seen also. Diff bowls, tacos, and burrito options on the menu. A couple side items to choose from as well. The food was ready quite quickly. Everything was nice and fresh. They also had this homemade mango salsa that was ridiculously good. You could tell they spent a ton of time preparing that and everything else they had to offer. Like I said I didn't try everything, but looking forward to when I see them again. The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. This day I opted to only have 1 margarita and then have an ice cream at Fat Donkey Ice Cream directly next door. We liked eating outside on the front patio with the tiki-style thatched roof. In front of the home is a historic marker that is part of the Historical Marker Program, one of the Division of Historical Resources' most popular and valued public history programs. The markers raise awareness of Florida's cultural history while enhancing the enjoyment of historic sites for residents and tourists. The blue historic markers tell the stories of the people and places that were important to Florida's history and they can be found in front of schools, forts, roads, archaeological sites, battlefields, cemeteries, roads, churches, historic districts, and historic buildings like this one. Historic marker F-937 was installed in 2017 by Brevard County Historical Commission, The Brevard Heritage Council, The Brevard County Tourist Development Council, and the Florida Department of State. This impressive home is associated with Edward Porcher. As a young man he moved to Cocoa from South Carolina in the late 1800's. He and wife Byrnina Peck of Atlanta settled into Merritt Island where they raised their family and operated Deerfield Groves, a citrus farm. He was the first person to grade fruit for shipping, patented the first fruit stamping machine, and he invented a machine to wash the fruit. He was the founder of the Indian River Orange Growers Association. In 1962 he was inducted into the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame. Byrnina was the first postmistress on Merritt Island. In 1895 the Porcher family moved into a three story wood frame house where the Cocoa Civic Center is now located. Construction on the Porcher's Neo Classical Revival home began in 1914 based on Mrs. Porcher's design. A special feature in front of the house are the stones that were cut to represent the suits of cards in a game of Bridge. The house was built from native coquina rock and included ten bedrooms, four and one-half baths, a partial basement, and an attic. The staircase is made of teak, the floor is oak, and the wainscoting and trim are cedar. The Porcher family moved into the grandest home in Cocoa on October 31, 1916. Portions of the house are original while others are restorations. No longer on the property are the porte-cochere on the north side, the Porcher's swimming pool, and the large packinghouse that was on the river bank behind the house. The packing house was used to process produce delivered by boat the family's groves on Merritt Island. Edward Porcher passes away in June 1939. Upon his death the house passed to his son Arthur who died the next month. The house became a hotel and then in 1945 the City of Cocoa purchased it and used it for City Hall. Money from city and state historic preservation grants were used to restore the Porcher House and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 6, 1986. Today the Porcher House can be rented for private events like weddings.

The house has been restored, but it is not furnished as a residence. Some of the rooms contain offices where you can reserve the house for an event, and arrange for catering. The front door latch is a bit hard to open, so try a little harder before giving up on it. Don't expect a guided tour of the house, but walk thru and have a look, when there is no wedding or reserved private event going on. There is an elevator to the second floor, with water fountain and restrooms nearby. Look out the first floor back porch to the river. Walk out the back and stroll to the river thru a park with an amphitheater. There is another park on the block that has swing sets for the younger folk. This Porcher House is next door to the civic center.
