Nice little place with extremely reasonable prices! Inflation and cost-of-living aside, lately I've been extremely disappointed with how much most cafes charge for things and how little you get. This is a definite exception to the rule. Our party had a large 20 ounce iced caffe mocha $3.50, kids chocolate milk $2, some type of specialty large iced tea around three or four dollars, Chicken and Waffles $13, large Philly cheesesteak $13, a huge order of Sidewinder fries $4, and a grilled bacon and cheese for the lowly price of $3. Bacon and cheese was only $2, and a dollar extra for a meat of your choice. Other folks took pictures of chicken and waffles with tenders, but we were delightfully surprised that our order Chicken and Waffles came with two nicely sized Belgian waffles and 5 chicken wings, bone in. The server/owner? Said she used to serve the chicken tenders but then decided to change to the wings which also could be ordered separately. The square Belgian waffles where fluffy and tasty, my Philly Cheesesteak had a ridiculous amount of meat, and the chicken wings were hot and fresh. The bacon was thick and crispy and my daughter likes the grilled cheese. The chicken wings and Philly cheese steak meat needed a little bit of salt but overall great for the price. Came here for brunch. I got the chicken and waffles and my mom got the shrimp and grits and an order of beignets. The chicken was strips not bone in, but they were seasoned nicely and good. The waffle was savory and reminded me of corn bread. I prefer the savory waffle than the sweet one. The shrimp and grits was very filling and had the right amount of shrimp and flavor. The beignets were covered in powdered sugar and did not come close to tasting like beignets. I have been to Nola too many times to count, and these were not the same. Good effort. Overall the food was good and worth coming out for to support a local business. The service was okay, it was mostly teens who looked to be 14-16 serving who seemed more focused on doing anything, but work. The food came out in 15-20min, which isn't bad considering how crowded they were. Definitely a place to give a chance if you haven't. Be careful on posting reviews though, they will message you about it if it's not up to their liking so I've discovered. read more

Mr williams and I wanted to enjoy our day off together. To start it off we traveled to Rockledge to try some coffee with cafe krewe 22! We ordered iced caramel coffee and egg cheese and sausage bagel sandwiches. The vibe made us feel warm and relaxed, the sandwiches were delicious and the coffee had a distinct taste. The owner treated us like family and even gave us a Cake tasting on the house! Overall it lead to us having a wonderful breakfast date and we will return! read more

I ventured out on one of my early days off and decided to give this place a shot. Now, maybe I was spoiled by NOLA, because the crawfish etouffee was all rice with a dash of crawfish. In less than a minute I had eaten all of the crawfish in the bowl. Flavor was ok but I'll just go to Orlando to satisfy my cravings. My beau said it tasted more like gumbo anyway. read more

When I see grits on a menu, I usually order some thinking they are going to be as good as my mama's grits. I'm usually disappointed because although a lot of restaurants serve grits, very few know how to properly prepare grits. They are almost always undercooked and/or too watery and not a lick of butter or salt . This man right chea doe, James Thompson at Cafe Krewe 22, he knows how to make some damn grits!!! Thick, creamy, unctuous...pert near as good as GH (my mama is still the undisputed champ of grits and jambalaya ). Add that scrumptious sausage gravy and those plump, juicy, perfectly seasoned shrimp and you got the real deal shrimp and grits!! I ain't go tell ya no lie, dat boy put his foot in dat grocery!! The place is closed. Not only closed but there's a lockbox on the door. Here's the bigger problem: I placed a takeout order today (apparently through GrubHub service) not knowing the restaurant wasn't really open. Why would GrubHub not know a restaurant is closed? This is worrying. Here's an update. I was able to call GrubHub later and explain the situation. The customer service agent was apologetic and helpful. My order was canceled. So, that's a relief. Can there be one star? Unfortunately, I just learned that this place was sold! So, if you went in here and enjoyed the kind, friendly couple that were polite & accommodating FIND ANOTHER CAFE! I placed a Grub hub order online but since they didn't offer one of their items online I called to see if I could add that item and pay separately. She put me on hold only to come back and ask for my credit card information. Without first verifying what I was adding (bad customer service lady) When she got to the part where she asked for my security code on the back of my card I told her I shouldn't have to give her that, I had already given her my card number, expiration date & zip code, she got an attitude and told me she did. I asked to speak with her manager and she said in an excessively chipper (sarcastic tone) "Hi I'm Haley Day I'm the manager" so I said I wanted to speak with the owner (ya know, that nice couple) she said she just bought the place from them. It wasn't the fact that she was ignorant to how asking for a customer security code is a breach of their privacy and maybe her machine is jacked up & she can't go around it like other businesses do, it was the fact that she had the worst attitude not accommodating at all not apologetic at all & completely rude. This is the first place I recommend when asked where a good breakfast place with great coffee is but now, I'll just tell them make sure you don't go here. This is a hidden gem! I just had a cheesesteak and it was fantastic! I didn't have high expectations being it is a coffee shop but wow! Very surprised! Will def go back for another! Also tried the meat pies. While these are small they have tons of flavor and are delicious. My co worker got the cheesesteak fries and while I didn't try them, they looked yummy and she said they were awesome! She said the guy in there was super nice as well so that's always a plus. Absolutely delicious! We pretty much just let them decide our order. Told them we wanted the most delicious stuff! The first young gentleman recommended a bacon, egg, and cheese "Krewewaffle" which is a BEC on a WAFFLE! Talk about delicious, then beignets that would knock your socks off, two amazing coffees, one latte, once iced dark roast made by a coffee magician! Annnd a piece of the best banana bread in the county... all served up, cooked up, and rang up by the most delightful family I have ever been graced with! Just wow! Decided to try this place after being seated at another local restaurant and being turned off by the atmosphere. SO GLAD to have made it here. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We ordered a latte and an iced coffee. Both were great. The food was incredible. My boyfriend liked his French toast and the chicken and waffles were the best I've had. The waffles were made with cornbread mix and were excellent. I'm sad I didn't find Cafe Krewe 22 sooner- I will definitely be back! read more
