**INITIAL REVIEW** Prior to visiting the initial location for Bold Cup Coffee, it must be noted that 1.) I went to a Bold Cup Coffee location before, the one on Babcock St. next to Arcade Monsters which used to be their roastery and 2.) I personally know the owner, Alex. Ergo, given these facts, I am going to do my best to be unbiased when reviewing the Aveneue Viera location. But to be fair, this location is probably the endgame result of what Alex wants for his second location. Bold Cup Coffee is everything most people want in a simple coffee shop. Though an address is provided, Bold Cup Coffee (which I will simply shorthand to Bold Cup for the remainder of this review) is located on the eastern part of the Avenue Viera outer ring of stores, just south of Belk Lindsay. The ambiance is very simple yet fits to the whole decorum that the owners of The Avenue Viera are aiming to have for all of their businesses in the shopping plaza. Bold Cup, by all means, is first and foremost a coffee shop and roastery. The mainstay of their menu are coffee and tea products which includes bags of their roasted coffee beans. Out of all the products they provide, I definitely have to push for the Tres Leches Latte. It is definitely a delicious latte with its three different milk flavors. It should be noted Bold Cup does sell food, primarily bakery goods. However, the baked goods are made from other local businesses within Brevard County. For example, the cookies on sale are from The Sweet Heartist. As for hot food, Bold Cup doesn't have any on hand, but they have opened their location for another small business that sells Argentinian sandwiches and empanadas called ¡Si Che-F! Since ¡Si Che-F! doesn't have its own business page and I am unsure if they will be allowed to have one as they are sharing space with Bold Cup but probably are not named on the lease, I will give a quick review for them, here, in which their sandwiches are delicious, but seems to be preferable when toasted. The price can be a bit high not because the sandwiches, though good, are simple in nature in accordance to their pricetag. The empanadas are amazing and are priced accordingly. As for the functionality of their location, Bold Cup has a selective number of seating inside and a limited number of seating outside. It should also be noted the private back room is half wall sofas and the other half high-end tables and chairs. There is a large community table in the middle of the coffee shop which is probably meant for larger groups and families. Finally, Bold Cup is definitely "bold" when it comes to the expression of their faith in Lord Jesus Christ. I am unsure if this is considered a Christian coffee shop, but do take note that the whiteboard showcased in the front of the order counter has plenty of Holy Bible verses written on them to encourage patrons. On a sidenote, the restroom is a single-serving unisex restroom which was clean and well stocked. Finally, Bold Cup does have complimentary internet for those who may want to use the in-house web over their data plan. Ultimately, Alex did a fine job with this amazing coffee shop and roastery. For me personally, I would be going here on an almost daily basis if it weren't a bit of a drive compared to other coffee shops and kava bars near where I live. Initially, I will give Bold Cup Coffee four out of five stars, the highest rating - taking in that no business is perfect and my perchance for grace towards independent/local businesses - any mom n' pop can attain. If Bold Cup continues to be the excellent business it was on my initial visit from friendly staff, cleanliness, and dedication to the menu they provide, I will give them their fifth star for consistency in an updated rating/review. read more

Such a great space with the nicest ladies behind the counter. The coffee was served fresh and hot and brought to our table. We enjoyed casual morning catching up and enjoying the space. They have a wide range of tables and spaces inside and out to choose from. They came and took our coffee cups when we were done. Nice crowd flowing thru while we were there. Enjoyed the Blueberry Vanilla candle burning on our table. Very enjoyable atmosphere. Restroom was clean. We've stopped in here twice on our vacation to pass some time and get a little pick me up. Both times the staff was helpful, and brought our beverages out to us. The restaurant is super cute. It has a forest room to chill in and several different types of tables in the main area. Also loved the cat poster by the bathroom. I had iced mochas both times and both were very serviceable, tasty iced mocha's. My husband had an espresso and a machiatto and he enjoyed them both fairly well. I liked that we were given reusable drinkware! And the staff didn't automatically put a straw in my iced mocha! This coffee shop is in an outdoor mall. There is a lot of parking, and a lot of other things around to check out. They don't have a large menu, but they have all the stand bys done well. read more

Ive been a customer at Bold Cup Coffee for a few years now and would recommend it as a good coffee shop in the Viera area. The redesign has done wonders for the atmosphere of the space, especially the natural light that now can light the exterior. There is plenty of space for studying, and can be a good space to grab a quick drink before shopping about in the Avenues. Service is good consistently as well! I'm a big fan of their Tres Leches latte, a unique offering I've not spotted at many other coffee shops. They also have a variety of baked goods on offer. It's important to mention they sell their own beans on the premise too, so this may be a good stop in spot for those hoping to expand their barista skills at home. A few of the baristas that I've talked to are very knowledgeable about coffee as well, especially Alan. Since I live further away, it's a shame I can't visit as often, but I look forward to returning soon! read more

I usually never do iced coffee, but on this particular day it was hot and I wanted coffee that would be refreshing (if that makes any sense at all). I went in not expecting much to be honest and just opted for a small decaf iced latte cause I figured that you couldn't really go wrong with that. I took my first sip and it was like in that instant, the clouds parted, and the sun shined it's rays on my latte. WOW! No joke, this is at least top 3 best decaf coffee's I've ever had cause you know, decaf usually sucks; I mean let's be honest. Not here. My friend bought some of their regular coffee and she too can attest that she will never look at coffee the same way again. I asked what the barista recommended upon coming in because I hadn't looked into their menu at all and didn't quite know what to expect. She suggested the cafe con leche. So I gave it a try iced and it wasn't bad, if you're a true coffee drinker I would definitely recommend this place. If you like coffee in your creamer I would ask to add extra sweeteners or syrups. Also the barista gave me 10% off apparently first time visitors receive a discount so don't be afraid to say this is my first time in. Took my coffee date to Bold Coffee in Viera Avenues and it was great. Clean, comfortable space, knowledgable and helpful baristas, delicious smooth drinks, and a friendly vibe overall. It was a first time there for both of us and the register person was very nice and patient with our questions. We got 16oz mochas in for-here cups and the barista delivered them to us at the table we picked. It was a busy Sunday but there were still a few open spots and we got a place by the window. I was disappointed with this storefront. The coffee seems fine but I was horrified at checkout to be faced with a large whiteboard of Bible quotations including chapter and verse. The handwriting was similar to their chalk signs so I assumed that it was a store choice. Not sure if there's no air kicking, but I needed to leave 15 minutes after being here. Hopefully it was an one off experience. Bought an iced caramel latte and an iced caramel cappuccino. The milk alternative (almond milk) was pretty good and they had many choices available. Coffees were okay. Asked for less milk in the cappuccino and got a cup with more milk than the latte. The espresso must not have been that strong because it honestly tasted like watered down coffee. I love this place. They went through a rough transition in the beginning and some of the baristas weren't so friendly. But they've got it dialed in now. It's a beautiful place with a warm friendly atmosphere. I was in there yesterday 4/14 at 6pm and the young lady was so sweet. She greeted everyone that came in with a friendly hello and smile and everyone who left she said "have a nice evening" to them on their way out. She also made my tea exactly as I ordered and it was delicious I wish they'd partner with a local bakery to have some treats at the counter to go with your coffee/tea. Finally made it to the new location....nice! Very well done, with plenty of seating that is like the previous location "comfortably spaced." I enjoy the cozy feel without feeling like you are sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Had a pour over this afternoon and it was as expected, delicious!
