Intruck Coastal Bites - Chicken Rice Bowl with Garlic Aioli.

Intruck Coastal Bites

Updating my previous and recent review based on my visit this past Saturday…read more Met up with friends shortly after 6pm. Intracoastal Brewing Company was packed, and I would assume Intruck Coastal Bites was feeling the rush by then. Chicken Rice Bowl - Apparently a new item on the menu. Comes with your choice of protein, rice, peppers, onions, cheese, and your choice of sauce. There were three to choose from. I chose the garlic aioli and it was perfect! Service - Quick as usual. We had a slight hiccup with an order that came out that wasn't prepared Vegan, but the server was super responsive and addressed it quickly.

When I arrived at this location, it was a match made in heaven outside seating, the smell of great food, beers being poured, I mean it just clicked. The service was great! Wasn't a too loud or dead feeling, it's pretty hip and kid friendly at the same time which is rare. The one thing that I have to knock them for is they allow dogs. I'm not against dogs, but when you're having a great time, and you take a sip of your beer and theirs dog hair in it or when the alpha arrives and starts to yap away to get the other dogs in the area to get them in line it becomes annoying. I was walking from the bar with a flight of six. I had just said thanks and tipped the bartender, and a dog jumped on my making me spill my beer. I was immediately bothered, but I kept my cool, and it seemed as if that was the norm. I could go more in-depth, but that ruined the vibe! But there were so many other great things about this place. BREAK BREAK -------------BREAK BREAK I got the beef and rice bowl, and it was amazing! Great portion for a great price. Pros: Great food Great drinks Ascetically looks awesome Cons: The dogs everywhere and the hair flying in the wind Food appearance: 5.0 Food taste: 5.0 Food price: 5.0 Kid friendly: 5.0 Vegan or other things on menu: 5.0 Service: 5.0 Dogs: 0.0 Give recommendations for Improvement: I'd look to limit the size of the dogs that are allowed due to the larger dogs barking and getting excited it can ruiN the experience for others.

Everything was pretty cost efficient looking at the menu prices. Most food trucks I've seen are overpriced and have smaller portions. I didn't try everything they were cooking, but the chicken tacos were on point. Some of the best chicken I've ever tasted really. It instantly stood out when I took a bite. Idk how they got so much flavor in it. Must be triple marinated or something. There were steak and shrimp options I seen also. Diff bowls, tacos, and burrito options on the menu. A couple side items to choose from as well. The food was ready quite quickly. Everything was nice and fresh. They also had this homemade mango salsa that was ridiculously good. You could tell they spent a ton of time preparing that and everything else they had to offer. Like I said I didn't try everything, but looking forward to when I see them again. Idk where they set up at regularly, but they said you could contact them for private events if need be and gave me a card. I'm guessing they're at diff places in general. Anyways def would recommend giving them a shot if you see them out.

The meat was very flavorful and tender. They also offer wraps and bowls that looked equally as good! I look forward to trying other options on their menu.

The Donut Baron - Smores and maple bacon donut

I stopped into The Donut Baron today on a whim after spotting them while trying to grab coffee…read moresomewhere else -- and I'm so glad I did. The staff was incredibly friendly, and all of their donuts were out on display looking amazing. I love supporting small businesses, so I figured I'd give them a try. They hand-roll and fry all of their donuts in-house, and you can absolutely tell. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and made with care. I asked for recommendations and ended up getting the maple bacon and the s'mores donuts. I also had the chance to try their glazed donut and wow... that ended up being my favorite out of everything. I would honestly come back just for the glazed. It had the perfect amount of glaze -- sweet but not overpowering -- and the donut itself was thick, soft, and fluffy. The ratio was perfect. These donuts have substance. They're not the type that melt away instantly, but they're still super soft and fresh. They're exactly the kind of donuts you can actually chew and enjoy. The maple bacon was perfectly balanced with crispy bacon and just the right amount of maple, and the s'mores donut was huge, rich, and such a fun treat. I would choose these donuts over Dunkin or grocery store donuts any day. If you want something fresh, handmade, and genuinely delicious -- and want to support a small business -- The Donut Baron is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be back.
