When we arrived, we stood at the host stand for a while as servers passed by before someone acknowledged us. Service throughout the evening was quite slow, and our waitress explained at the end that they were dealing with a new point-of-sale system, which may have contributed to the delay. That being said, the food was absolutely worth the wait. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was out of this world - rich, flavorful, and beautifully done. Nothing like I have had before. A must I will get again and again. My husband ordered a pizza and it was excellent as well, with that authentic, fresh quality you hope for in a Neapolitan-style pie. While the service left a bit to be desired, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I'd happily recommend Manny's for the incredible dishes and will definitely return. Next time I'll just go in with a little extra patience, knowing the food will be well worth it.

Yaay!! I am so excited to report that this was a DELICIOUS experience and we finally have an…read moreItalian restaurant nearby that we love. We're beachside, and the local Italian choices leave much to be desired. But, we ventured across the bridge (gasp! lol) and found our new Italian home. We were greeted seated promptly by a friendly server. The chef in the kitchen smiled as we passed. She brought bread that tasted like a homemade loaf. So crispy and full of seasoning. Not greasy. Great start! Menu selections were good - a rounded variety you'd expect to see at most American Italian restaurants: Pizza, Calzone, Stromboli, Subs, and a variety of pastas. I was pleased to see they had lamb chops, pork chops, and steak, too! Ordered Red Sangria and beer. Sangria was in a big pint and was tasty, beer was ice cold in a bottle and served in a chilled pint glass. We started with Mussels in white wine sauce. DELISH!! Tasted fresh, nothing fishy. The sauce was not too oily, either. Shared a medium Carnivore Pizza and Lasagna (with obvious intent for leftovers). WOW! Both were amazing. I loved the crispiness of the crust on the pizza, without it being so thick your jaw hurts from chewing. The meatballs and sausage were so savory, and it paired well with the sauce. The Lasagna had delicious creamy with fresh herb layers as well as incredibly flavorful meat in the filling. The sauce was amazing. I had worried because it was so... red. Like, was this just canned sauce? But in the end that is not how it tasted. It was fresh and delicious and it allowed the fillings and cheese to standout. Speaking of cheese, the cheese formed a semi-crispy crust on the top that was addictive. The noodles themselves cooked perfectly. Not mushy at all. We fought ourselves to stop. We were so full but wanted to leave room for dessert. For dessert, the server recommended the lemon blueberry cheesecake cake. She said they made it in house and we were sold. It was basically the best of all worlds! Cheesecake. Cake. Fruit. Frosting. We did not fight ourselves on this one and devoured it promptly. The server was friendly through the whole service. Lots of smiles, and not being chatty or obtrusive. The food all came out in a reasonable manner of time and nothing that made you feel like it was already hot and waiting or like you got hot waiting. Perfection. The vibes inside are quaint and casual, not fancy. But the food is what you're really there for. And it's worth it. We're so happy to have finally found our new favorite Italian spot.
