Good gas station. Good prices. Lots of pumps. Costs a little more if you use credit cards. I usually get gas at Chevron on Park St. in Alameda. I'm fairly certain they don't charge extra for credit cards. They do here. I'm not sure if businesses are encouraging cash payments because of high credit card fees or as a way to be creative with their earnings. Interestingly enough for diesel you don't pay any extra for using a credit card. I'm really not sure what this is all about. Maybe at seven dollars a gallon for diesel they figure you are getting soaked enough. Not the brightest gas station. I remember very yellow type lighting. I suppose that helps for not attracting moths - I have the same lights in my entry hall and mud room and porch lights. A stone turtle is hiding in the bushes. Its bigger than life and I suppose it gives the gas station some character. Its not the attraction of a sinclair dinosaur but at least its something. read more

Every time when I need to come here to pump gas it's always clean. There's no garbage on the floor or gunks of oil on the handle- garbage hanging out the can. When I need to go inside the workers are always friendly towards me. Smile and greet me- Just my luck- I've been getting serviced for my tires only for a handful of times just this year alone for having a nail in. They're quick and efficient. This Chevron is not new but it's a bit more updated than some others on the East Side. Gas prices are around average for the area. This one gets my business because they have a slushy machine. Coke, Mt Dew, Cherry and Blueberry. All with the original bear character. Cheaper than 7-11 actually. They also have a small auto shop next door. Oil changes are $35 out the door for standard oil on smaller vehicles like my Elantra. They are helpful and thorough. read more

The auto shop at this location is unjust and not honest. Workers will not tell you the truth if your cars tires are low tread or if the brake pad measurement's are below the limit. They will upsale you and or relatives who know nothing to buy what ever and make it seem like it's worst than it really is. There prices are getting close to dealership prices. So might as well wait for a dealership coupon and get the oil change with proper documentation and paperwork, with the peace of mind of having a certified manufacturer trained technician on your vehicle. This is probably the 8th time I've came in here while Liza is working and she does not wear a mask. Most of the time you will see her smoking outside the store and finishing her smoke before she comes in to assist the people waiting inside. Nonetheless she loves to wear her mask as a neck warmer. Tonight I went in and there she was, again, with her neck warmer and now there was a man sitting behind the counter hanging out with her. No mask in sight. I decided to ask "so are you guys not required to wear masks?" And they replied "yeah we are" and then "but we got the shot". I turned around and left and saw that the two other customers in the store were not wearing masks either. They probably "got the shot" too. This place is a joke. They reopened recently after major renovation. It looks great! The pumps are new, clean, and fast. The new pump islands are laid out at an angle making it easy to pull in and drive out. I don't expect much from gas stations but this place has really bad service. I used to come in here and buy a coffee with a credit card without an issue. All of a sudden they have a minimum. The guy that is often at the register seems upset at the world. The other day the lady at the register was on her phone while people were waiting in line to pay. Well I used to like this place for oil change my cars but not anymore now... I don't trust them anymore. They start raise up the prices and after oil changed I went home check the oil stick measurements which they did not fill up enough oils as supposed to be. This start flagging my instincts so I made a mark on the oil filter and brought to them again. Like I had the feelings, not fill up enough oils and they never change the oil filter on my car... And they usually gave out different prices all time. However, If you bring your cars to these Asian shop, you need to be more careful.....all they want is your money not really taking care of your car and the safety for you. This gas stations gas is overpriced but I'm giving it a 4 stars for the oil change service and the store. Oil change service:I am getting my oil changed at 1 pm on a Saturday and it's not too busy, about a 15 min wait. There are chairs to sit on while you wait. It is 25.00 for my oil change (I sport a scion). If it's too hot or cold outside you can get a break in the store. The store: super clean, moderately stocked, and air conditioned! They have restrooms indoors and an atm. It's not huge but it is a good size. The coffee station is what amazes me. They have about 5 different coffee types (all Seattle's Best), flavor shots for your coffee (caramel, hazelnut, cinnamon, and vanilla bean), and a ton of creamers in different flavors. They also offer cappuccino. This place is a wonderful little convenience store when you need one. read more

There was a Shell across the street (on the side i was driving) and didn't check that the gas prices were actually cheaper at Shell than at Chevron (but i was already doing a u-turn to go to Chevron and didn't feel like wasting more time. Transaction was fast and smooth and looks like they have done a makeover at this station, so looks pretty clean and modern. read more

Worst staff & customer service!! This location went through a makeover (probably due to replacing old underground storage tanks) and opens with new gear/pumping stations. But the staff are rude and not friendly at all. Not expecting much from a gas station but it's upsetting. I only go because it's the closest one and chevron gas quality is supposedly good. I've been here a couple of times. Not the best looking Chevron but I like how they still have seperate pumps for each grade of gas so i'm not getting some crappy 87 grade without knowing when i get my 89 or 91. their service garage is helpful. the guy helped me get my nut/bold that i dropped into the engine bay with his handy magnetic tool. This is for the gas station portion only. I definitely like the new pump island layouts! I drive a car where the gas tank sensor is very sensitive - ie when the gas is coming out of the nozzle too quickly it would automatically shut it off irregardless the gas tank is full or not. What I realized is that gas stations with the newer nozzles tend to work better. I also like the occasional discount I get from swiping my Safeway card. read more

Took my Highlander in for an oil change over a year ago, the mechanics saw my tire pressure was low and did some test to find out that I had two nails in my front tires! And here I thought something was wrong with the sensor since I just had those tires changed. Their prices are very reasonable and they made sure that my car is nail-free every time I take it in for an oil change (they even gave me discount now to remove nails out of my tires)! They always give a reminder sticker to remind me when it's my next oil change. Very cool!!!! read more

I just came here for an oil change. The guy here charged me $30. That's no problem to me. After $10 minute oil change, I noticed that the guy only used 3 quarts of oil for my car. Most car used 5 quarts. He also put a sticker on windshield window showing the mileage 99065. The fact was, when I came in, that my car showed 96065. So that mean that my car only run for next 3000 miles and came back for oil change again. What a ripped off. Once again, the guy never changed the oil filter. What the F is going on here? Really? What he did is that drained the oil and put 3 quarts in. That's it and took me $30. What a fking ripped off. Never again, buddy. Never come back. read more

I would give this place NO STARS if there was such thing. Came to accompany my friend to get her catalytic converter replaced. She came 1 week prior to coming to test out the vehicle. She made an appointment to come in and called prior to dropping off her car. The mechanics said it would be approx. 2 hours before her car was ready. We left to go eat and left the car with the owner's trusted mechanics. Came back 2.5 hours later (thinking we gave them plenty of time!) Anthony (The Owner) tells us they haven't started on my friend's car!! We were so upset but he promised us that if we can give him another 2 hours it will be done. Since my friend lives out in San Ramon, she desperately wanted to have it done cause she had work the next day. 1 hour rolls around and we call him to check the status of the car. He said he was "test driving another car" and that he would call us back. 1.5 hours roll by and we called him back. Never got a call back from him like he said. He apologized and said he's been trying to find the manufactured part all day and no one carries it. So.. we would have to order it new from the dealership and it would cost around $1200. He gave us a price of $400 for a manufactured version. Nothing had been done. We were so upset because in the first place, he knew we were coming in he should of already had the part available. Second off, he made us wait 4+ hours for a run around. He didn't have the balls to tell us "Hey you guys we don't have the part so come back another day.." No.. he just simply made us wait, and wait, and wait some more. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I hope Karma bites this shop in the a$$! read more

This is my go to place for an oil change. They told me it would take only 20 minutes so, I went across the street to Starbucks & sure enough, my car was ready when I went back in 20 minutes! This gas station is new and clean too. They don't waste your time like the old spot I used to go to (Sears auto center) that takes an entire day or worse!!
