I was here for 20-mins last night waiting to meet up with a coworker. I had time to get gas, wash my windows, use the restroom, and make some observations. A long time ago, I had a job with a national auditing service. Our specialty was small retail and fuel. My secondary job was as a fuel auditor. I had to go to gas stations around 4-6 am and verify the amount of gas in an underground tank. That's why I like to do Yelp reviews on gas stations. Initially, this looks like a beautiful and modern gas station. Fresh and bright decor make it interesting and inviting. The islands seem spacious, but they aren't. If you have a large vehicle, use the island nearest the carwash. Stay away from the North Capitol side of the far pumps. It's hard to maneuver around the island if there's cars parked at the foodmart. I didn't use the carwash, so I can't comment on the multi-pricing offers. All I have to say is....if you drive a brand new vehicle, don't use a machine carwash. It will put micro scratches in the clear coat, and ruin that mirror shine. The food mart is nice inside. Modern and cool, it makes a visitor want to go inside to check it out. It's clean, shiny, and well stocked. Very nice.....easy 4-5 stars! You know what's not clean and shiny? The restroom. This gas station has a single all-gender restroom, with code entry. It is disgusting and nasty. It looks like animals live in there. It's barely acceptable as a mens room, but women have to use it too. That's the problem with the "all-gender" restroom. Men and women all use the same bathroom. But I understand why. The workers don't like to clean it, so it seldom gets attention. That's why you get 3-stars overall. Nice gas station, high gas prices, beautful food mart, but nasty restroom. C'mon, would you let your Mom use that restroom? Clean it!

I was able to get gas fairly quickly. However, you don't really see any signs when you pull in that leads you to the correct way of getting to the gas station part. I just knew that it was at the very front of Costco and just kind of followed my own route through the parking lot . There is sinus once you close and about to pull in the gas station and there is a do not enter if you're trying to turn in the wrong way, but not much getting to it . Once I pulled in five cars pulled in seconds later. This is a location where it is better to get gas very early. It is filled with a lot of people living in berryessa and Hostetter areas probably Milpitas too . The annoying part is some people either don't know what side their gas is on or they're just purposely going to the wrong pumps to avoid waiting-, which is annoying if you know what side your gas pump is actually on and people are in the wrong line or taking up space in your line. All in all, just get there early for your cheap gas and hope it last week. They do have signs above that are like red or green, depending on if someone is at the pump or not I didn't notice until after the fact, I just looked for open spaces on my side of the pump

Then Indian lady kept saying you need to put to park. I kept telling her it was the front car fault. She kept saying you got to put to park. Even the guy that was in the back of me said that it wasn't my fault and she still said I got to put to park. What a stupid lady. I will never go there for car wash again.

I decided to leave without going in. As I was about to drive away, a person knocked on my passenger window. She had her mask half off of her face and it took me a minute to realize she worked there. It was hard to hear her through the glass but I wasn't rolling down my window unless she put her mask on. Assuming this review is around for a while I will note that the mask was important because we are currently required to wear them. She said something about possibly putting someone's cash on my pump and wanted to see my receipt. As I was going back and forth trying to tell her the machine was out of paper, I decided to tell her I would just come in to try and see what was going on. We went into the store and the mask was never really fixed. At least there was some plexiglass between us. She wanted to compare the last four digits of my card to the receipt. I am totally good with double checking as I understand these things happen but the way she went about it was weird. There was nobody around waiting for their cash fill up. Why didn't she just print that receipt and bring it with her to my car? My questions will just have to remain unanswered. Basically, there are plenty of low priced options in our area and I did not particularly like my experience here. I will make other choices when filling up.

But instead of trying to help or get someone who could, he kept telling me to go inside and ask them. Meanwhile, I was sitting in my car holding up the line, and he expected me to get out and go figure it out myself, even though I was clearly short on time and on my way to work. I told him I'd just come back later when I had more time. He had the cars behind me back out so I could leave, which was fine. But as I was leaving, I rolled down my window and started to ask, "Can you let them inside know I'll be back later?" Before I could even finish the sentence, he cut me off with, "I'm not telling them, you tell them." I'm fairly certain they don't charge extra for credit cards. They do here. I'm not sure if businesses are encouraging cash payments because of high credit card fees or as a way to be creative with their earnings. Interestingly enough for diesel you don't pay any extra for using a credit card. I'm really not sure what this is all about. Maybe at seven dollars a gallon for diesel they figure you are getting soaked enough. Not the brightest gas station. I remember very yellow type lighting. I suppose that helps for not attracting moths - I have the same lights in my entry hall and mud room and porch lights. A stone turtle is hiding in the bushes. Its bigger than life and I suppose it gives the gas station some character. Its not the attraction of a sinclair dinosaur but at least its something.

I was on pump #12, and it didn't accept any of my credit cards. So I had to lock up my vehicle, put on my mask (Covid-19), and go see the cashier. It's a typical foodmart, but the cashier is behind (what appears to be) a bullet proof glass enclosure. I guess it has to be that way when it's a 24-hour station. (Convenience Store Clerk is in Top 5 Dangerous Jobs in the USA). I told her the problem, and I paid inside with no problem. She was polite and easy to deal with.
