No air or water for the last few months keeps saying it's out of order but no plan to fix

Different store but same chain and owner. Son took car to get car washed on 6/26/24. Car wash tore off driver side mirror so he filled out a claim form. Talked to manager who said all she could do was send the form to corporate and she couldn't do anything more than that. She couldn't provide a working number and the form said to talk to the store manager...... Was able to track down the corporate info and left about a dozen messages to try to get someone to address the claim over the past 3 months. No callbacks and would always go to voicemail. Think twice about using their car wash as any damage will be ignored..... read more

Shiny new, 5-yr old Loop Shell gas station & carwash at busy North Capitol Ave x Hostetter Rd. Great location right near I-680, VTA Light Rail, and south of the BART station. I was here for 20-mins last night waiting to meet up with a coworker. I had time to get gas, wash my windows, use the restroom, and make some observations. A long time ago, I had a job with a national auditing service. Our specialty was small retail and fuel. My secondary job was as a fuel auditor. I had to go to gas stations around 4-6 am and verify the amount of gas in an underground tank. That's why I like to do Yelp reviews on gas stations. Initially, this looks like a beautiful and modern gas station. Fresh and bright decor make it interesting and inviting. The islands seem spacious, but they aren't. If you have a large vehicle, use the island nearest the carwash. Stay away from the North Capitol side of the far pumps. It's hard to maneuver around the island if there's cars parked at the foodmart. I didn't use the carwash, so I can't comment on the multi-pricing offers. All I have to say is....if you drive a brand new vehicle, don't use a machine carwash. It will put micro scratches in the clear coat, and ruin that mirror shine. The food mart is nice inside. Modern and cool, it makes a visitor want to go inside to check it out. It's clean, shiny, and well stocked. Very nice.....easy 4-5 stars! You know what's not clean and shiny? The restroom. This gas station has a single all-gender restroom, with code entry. It is disgusting and nasty. It looks like animals live in there. It's barely acceptable as a mens room, but women have to use it too. That's the problem with the "all-gender" restroom. Men and women all use the same bathroom. But I understand why. The workers don't like to clean it, so it seldom gets attention. That's why you get 3-stars overall. Nice gas station, high gas prices, beautful food mart, but nasty restroom. C'mon, would you let your Mom use that restroom? Clean it! read more

How is this place still going on every time you get your car washed it doesn't dry everybody has to get out and dry their car with their own towels and that's what we pay for that included. The technician stopped everything and it messed up the sequence and I never got a dry and he came out and half of it and left it wet so that's bad customer service and bad quality service. I wouldn't recommend coming here at all. read more

Cheapest diesel around this area and right off 680/Capitol Ave. The biggest con about this Shell is trying to get out of the gas station to get onto Capitol Avenue. There is a dedicated right turn lane which makes it hard to get into the lanes going straight on Capitol. The car wash is very popular here and often backed up with a line of cars. Overall the station was pretty clean with fully stocked paper towels when I went. read more

I came to get a car wash before work on Saturday evening. I knew the weekend line and wait would be long, so I gave myself extra time for the car wash. When it was my turn, I paid through their machine for the $13 Works wash, and saw that the transaction went through as it showed on my credit card account. The receipt doesn't print from the machine and you'd have walk across into the store to retrieve it from the cashier, which is quite a hassle. Going into the car wash, I found it weird how none of the lights (the green, red, and back up light) would turned on as I went forward in the wash, even going past the lights. Regardless of the multiple attempts I made going forward and backwards in the wash, none of the lights turned on and the machine didn't start. I took a while trying to see if the machine would work and felt embarrassed as I was struggling with the situation. Since I didn't want to make the people behind me wait any longer, and I also had to leave for work by then, I drove out of the machine and headed to work. On my way to work, I called and explained the situation to Thieu who was very understanding and apologized for the inconvenience. I told him I just left Shell and didn't have time to go inside the store to retrieve the receipt, but can show my credit card transaction as proof that I paid. He said I could come back the following day to redeem the car wash that I didn't get. He mentioned a couple of names of the staff that would be working the following day including Gemma. The following day, I went into the store and one of the two the cashiers at the front said Gemma left, but the supervisor at the back, Josie was there. I didn't catch her name, but the cashier was very nice. I explained the whole situation to Josie including my conversation with Thieu, and showed her my credit card transaction which showed the time, location, and amount paid. She was very unwilling to help me, said she needs to go to the back to retrieve the receipt and told me to come back tomorrow. I asked her why she couldn't print it now. Eventually she gave me a code for the car wash after many more unnecessary back and forth conversations. It doesn't really bother me, but just a precaution, the last 8 seconds of drying disappears. I did not like Josie's attitude during our whole interaction. She made me feel like if she make it difficult enough to obtain the car wash they owed me, I would give up. During the whole time I was talking to Josie, my family was waiting in the car for me. It is not my fault that something went wrong with their machine. I don't like wasting my time either, and I made two trips here, almost a third if I listened to her. I gave three stars because I eventually got my car wash, but I had to pull tooth and nail for it. 5/5 stars for Thieu and the cashier that I spoke to for their service, but because of Josie, the overall experience became 3/5 stars. read more

I will say that I am docking a star solely by price. I love to go to Costco gas, but usually when it's not horribly busy, and this Shell location is a quick drive down from there. Overall, the location is usually not too busy, so I can always find a pump, and we haven't had issues before buying lottery tickets, scratchers, or snacks from the market before. Besides that, I would say that this location is pretty reliable, and besides the price, and I don't have any negative experiences visiting this location. read more

Very high traffic when it comes fo this particular Shell. The car wash aspect in itself causes quite a delay. Be careful and cautious when pulling in. My visits here are very far and few between but I never have any issues. Every transaction is made @ the gas pump so I can't speak on the employee's customer service. As a heads up, this Shell is newer than other locations in the area so the higher gas prices is not a big surprise. DO. YOU. BOO. read more

Don't bother going here if you want to pump gas with your credit card without going inside. Their pumps require you to go inside and there's no sign anywhere that says that. Not sure if they are trying to avoid paying credit card transaction, but it's been a month and it's still broken so you would have to go inside and wait in-line. read more

I waited in line for a car wash for 15 minutes and found that the machine could not accept credit card. Man, so I went to pay at the pump, but it didn't go through. So I ended up paying at the cashier before going to the car wash. What a waste of time if it has better instruction or signs at the gas station. read more

I hate this place, this is the only gas station that I can not use my debit card to plumb gas at the gas station, it make me go inside, Fking WHY? My debit card has a fking Visa logo on it. Using Gas Buddy, this station is usually pricier than the 3 other Shell stations w/in the 2 mile radius. This particular one is usually packed because it is near the freeway and the location in general is convenient. I only go because of the car wash. Negatives: - air pressure hose doesn't go around (short ass hose) - vacuum will operate however, it doesn't work - service is meh I will now go to the Berryessa station. read more

Overall: Kind of a scary Shell for some reason it feels ghetto. It's lighted well like most gas stations though. It's on the corner of Capitol and Berryessa in the same plaza as CVS and Safeway. The convenient store is on the older side and not like the newer Shell gas stations that have popped up. I give them three stars for A-OK. read more

This is my go to gas station when I don't know anything about what is going on in the gas prices industry because this is probably one of the cheaper stations here in the bay. They usually post low prices and sometimes change during the day which is nice since you really always get the latest. The station gets pretty busy but they have a healthy selection of bathroom, car wash, and other utilities and most of the pumps are working so there isn't really a huge issue with out of commission items. Definitely don't come during rush hour (before / after work), you will end up waiting 10+ minutes to get in line to fill up! read more

Nicely remodeled gas Shell station very clean shop. More spacious than other station. I don't do carwash there but is my favorite in the area to refill gas as is so easy to access and has so much room. read more

This gas station tricks you since it has one price listed at 3.94 and the other 4.09 I was thinking it was cheaper since most gas stations around the area were 3.99. WRONG. It's only 3.94 when you purchase a car wash, and 4.09 otherwise. So since I was there already, I just paid for the 4.09 which was more than gas stations I was right next to previously. Usually prices vary based on cash, but this one is a lower price per gallon only when you get a car wash. It's in super fine print, and the car wash isn't even open.. Why bother. read more

Probably the nicest gas station in the area& super thankful it's close to my house. The "loop station" is huge& if you come here you'll be sure to fulfill your snack craving. They have so many options to choose from & not just the basic "chips, candy, ice cream & soda" they have healthy options such as almonds, house made sandwiches, kombucha etc. I stopped by here before a hike & was happy with my purchases aha. Doesn't seem to maintain their equipment or even post notices about things being out of service. Attempt to quickly top off the air in a tire turned into a massive headache thanks to a broken air pump that it turned out the staff knew about all day and did nothing about. This is an example of why service is no longer about the customer. The employees they work here are all Filipino and speak Tagalog in front of the customers. I'm sorry but this is America and we speak English here. So how about you inform your employees to only speak English when there is paying customers using your product. DO NOT GET A CAR WASH HERE!!! Save your money and go else where!!! I paid for an $11 Ultimate Carwash and my car was still dirty. All my windows still have a layer of dirt on them at different spots. Front and rear bumpers still have dirt showing on it. The icing on the cake was the very rude personal working there. I called in and told them if I could come back for a re-wash. The first call I was told to clean the windows myself and after placed on hold (the ladies talking in a different language discussing my complaint) was rudely hung up on. After multiple attempts of calling back, was told there is nothing they could do and was my fault for not checking immediately. I never write reviews but this business deserves one. Let me start off by saying I believe in humanity, I really do. But this Shell has given me every reason not to. If you want to be cheated of your money please feel free to come here. We came here to get lottery tickets and scratchers. We gave the manager $20 for the $20 scratcher and when we got home we realized they gave us a $10 scratcher. My boyfriend drove back right away and was told the manager already left. He was given a number to call and we called the next day and told her the situation and asked her to review the camera. She agreed to and would call us back the next day. No call so we called her. She says she's busy and she'll call back tomorrow. Best believe she never called, we had to proactivly call her for the next 3 weeks. That's right 3 weeks of trying to get back the $10 they stole from us. Why not just drop it you might ask. Well we would but they are incredibly rude to us every time we call. They made it seem like we were hassling them and it was our fault that they stole our money. Finally the manager oh so graciously decide to give us $10 out of her pocket (where our $10 went the first place) if we went there that very moment and hung up. My boyfriend wanted to tell them he couldn't since we have real honest jobs but every time he called the other rude lady never let him speak and only said come now come now and of course hang up right after. We finally had the time to go today to get the $10 and spoke to the manager Lani. She admitted she never looked at the tape but later said she did?! Not sure what to believe anymore. The other lady who was rude on the phone was also there and said she never disrespects customers. I beg to differ. Don't go to this bootsy ass shell right here, first of all the gas is expensive as hell (well it's expensive anywhere) but the car wash is always down for some reason. DO NOT USE THE CAR WASH UNLESS YOU PREPAY INSIDE, what happens is you have a bunch of cars who don't do that and hold up the line because the think in the front doesn't accept cash or credit so by the time you get up there and realize you have to run your ass to the clerk to buy a car wash and you multiply this by 6 ppl and a 5min car wash turns into a 40 minute ordeal. read more

Where else can you gas up and get a car wash and pick up sum snacks. Yup you guessed it shell gas on capitol ave. Plus you get a dollar off the car wash if you purchase gas. It's used to be that there is a minimum 8 gal not anymore. The place can get a little crowded at times though. Another plus is they also have a vacuum station as well. As far as price goes they seem to be inline with other gas place. I guess your paying for the convenience of having one stop service. I am sure down the street its a little less. If I need a car wash this is my place if I want cheap gas I head over to Berryessa :D . Did I mention they sell Phone cards as well. I just had to add that in. read more

This is my favorite gas station. I fill up here twice a week and it's always clean. I notice the price is cheaper during mid-week rather than the weekends. I live closer to the Berryessa Shell, but prefer to go to this one because somehow it is more welcoming. It gets extremely busy and backed up after work, like 5pm-8pm. Unlike the one on Berryessa, it has a car wash! The air is free if you fill up your tank! Just gotta give the attendant a heads up before you use the air. read more
