Came to get gas before heading to San Jose for dinner. It was quick/convenient, but wow -- gas prices are really high. Fueling up my small car cost $57, when the same tank used to be around $36 not long ago. Hoping prices finally start coming back down soon. read more

Chevron - Gas Stations Near Me - San Francisco, California

Air station is STILL out of order, and has been for over a year, based on a previous review stating that it was out of service at that time. Also they can't control the homeless population. Just this morning, two homeless dudes had their trash flung everywhere. The owner of this station clearly doesn't give a sh*t. Pro: the gas is in fact gas, I guess read more

You know the expectations for a gas station aren't very hot and therefore I don't think that this place deserves the 2.1 star review that it has it all. It's in a good location. The prices aren't comparable. I'll be at five dollars and the store was well kept clean and had exactly what I wanted, which were fair life energy shakes and therefore do I really want anything out of it? No, it fulfilled the purpose of being a gas station with a convenience store with gas prices, which is what I needed so five stars. read more

Air station is out of order. This is a safety concern. Low air pressure is unsafe. When any vehicle requires air in one or more tires it is very important to address it promptly. Driving around in search of a station with a working air pump is just not safe. read more

Please explain to me that chevron sells e-gift cards but no chevron will take them. When receiving the digital card by email, when you click the link to open it will open with a 19 digit card number and a 4 digit pin. No barcode, nothing. This chevron is unable to take electronic gift cards. Has to be a physical card so then why does chevron sell these e-cards if they are not expected at multiple locations or their employees lack the knowledge of how to use them. All they have to do is hit gift card and manually type in the 19 digits of the card number and then the safe 4 digit pin. The manager was called in and she did not know even how to do it! Prior to this, I have received multiple other e-gift cards for chevron and this had been my first experience receiving any kind of problem when going to use it. Simply every time they do as what I have stated about and it works! Never all this wasted time driving from location to location to try and use a Chevron e-gift card to purchase gas! Please employees and management take this as an opportunity for learning, learn how to use your system properly and how to use an e-gift card for payment. read more

The folks who work here are above and beyond kind. Smiley and friendly! On a dreary day when your filling your tank and have to pee but are intimidated by gas stations and gas station bathrooms. Being a young woman you've had bad experiences a plenty. BUT you walk up and ask and your greeted by a happy ear to ear smiley woman who is so unbelievably kind it inspires you to write this review. Thanks for turning my day around woman! Gas is gas but kindness is everything. read more

Open 24 hours. They sell food but the door is locked and the person working the register won't let me in. That's not the problem. The rudeness of the person working the register is impressive, not in a good way. Insists that I tell him what I want through the window but is next level snarky about not having it. Got in late for a conference, missed rom service and just wanted to buy a snack. read more

Broken fueling stations.. and broken credit card readers. Highly inefficient and workers here are slow to respond. Do not recommend getting fuel here. Avoid at all cost. read more

I'm drained tonight...feeling unspired. What better mood than to review a gas station, eh? This Chevron is kinda "feast or famine" for me. Whenever I gas-up here, I encounter one of the following: - clusterf*ck situation, - pump is "out of order", - won't accept my company's gas card, - sf krazy asking for (1) change, (2) wash windows with newspaper, (3) lubricant oil for his shopping cart wheel (i'm not sh*tting you, it happened), - tourist asking for direction (it's okay, I help out), - tanker truck which blocks half of the station, - station only accepts cash due to some electronic glitch But they do have gas, and the car needs it. Hint: my patience treshold is set on high most of the time. sigh...time for a snack. read more

This would have negative stars if it could. I will NEVER be back to this gas station, let alone any Chevron. Lost business FOREVER. After filling up about $20, I realized that Chevron managed to put a $126 hold on my bank account. For a twenty dollar transaction. Then, I realized that they did this TWICE, for a second time I visited a different Chevron! (Oh my, I drove over the holiday season! PUT A HOLD ON HIS ACCOUNT!!!) Upon calling Chevron, the customer service lady practically called me a liar, telling me that this has nothing to do with Chevron at all. Magically, of the dozens of purchases I've made over the last week, my bank decided that ONLY Chevron purchases deserve simultaneous, $126 holds. No friggin way. Chevron, you are terrible, awful people. I've heard this story from multiple people - they take your money for a few weeks at a time, knowing that there's nothing you can really do about it. Never again. Chevron, you've PERMANENTLY lost a customer. Never, ever, EVER will I be back. read more

Stopped here to get gas a few weeks ago and really had to pee so I went to use the restroom. OMFG. It was the scene from Trainspotting. I kid you not. No excuse for how foul it was. It was the absolute nastiest thing I have ever seen. Skip this place. read more

this chevron station is weird. there were at least two people who asked me for money while i pumped gas. i had one guy block my car door and me from getting out of the car while he wiped the rain from my car windows. he continued to do all of my windows and side mirrors so as i stood there pumping my gas i chatted with him. he asked me for money to buy coffee. he also told me that he hadn't eaten since morning. (it was 6pm). so i gave him a loaf of fresh italian bread that i purchased for myself. he mumbled something to himself without thanking me and went on to the next car. i gotta drive by next time. these workers and owners must really not care. read more

1.5/5. This place gets half a star for convenience, but other than that there's not much good to say. As many others have noted, don't be surprised if you're approached while pumping your gas; in fact, you should be surprised if you aren't approached. While egress/ingress into this place is actually quite decent, the station feels claustrophobic being situated on the highly-trafficked Van Ness Avenue. It also gets very full and I had to wait nearly five minutes to find an empty spot to pump up on my last visit. I'd probably avoid this place next time I'm in search of gas. read more

Everytime I come here at night the cashier always put a smile on my face when I leave.great customer service.

Restrooms are disgraceful, station attendant not helpful and gas prices high. .75 star.

A gas station serves a specific: fill up your tank, drive on. This Chevron is no different. It's gas prices are usually the same as the average gas price in SF and it's luckily located on a major street, unfortunately that also becomes congested during traffic time. I fill up $20 at least every time, but no gas station would be complete without mentioning the most despised feature. Homeless people, pan handlers, drug users whatever you want to call them. They infest this location like pigeons being fed at a park by an old man. They ask you to clean yours windows, you say no, yet they persist while the attendant stays behind their cubicle powerless to do anything to better their work area. Like I said, Chevron is a gas station, I pay for my gas, I get my gas, I say no to the beggar, and drive on. read more

Worst coffee ever. Only reason why I bought it was to get cash back for Muni. Seattle's Best signage. Tastes like dirt. Not sure if the person brewing it doesn't know the correct water:coffee grounds ratio, or if they're using some ghetto coffee instead of Seattle's Best. Either way, stay away from the coffee. I can only assume their gasoline tastes like sh*t too. That is all. read more

This place is honestly the worst Chevron I've ever experienced. When I smoked I would go here to buy cigarettes and every time I had to yell at the attendants to explain which one I wanted and how many packs I wanted. I've seen other patrons yelled at for wanting to use the restroom and there are always aggressive homeless people there. read more

You might be wondering how a gas station receives such low ratings. I mean they primarily sell gas, why would it have such a low score? Let me tell you how. After buying over $50 of gas, I think it's quite reasonable to use the restroom especially if we ask nicely. Instead, my husband receives a bunch of f bombs and attitude, which is a whole lot of unnecessary and asked to stand by the restroom and she'll f-ing buzz him in. I understand people have good days and bad days and for the sake of everyone else, stay the f home if you're going to so f-ing crabby! Goodness. If you need to come here, stay away from the heavy set Chinese cashier. She's working today, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 8:30pm. Make sure you use a credit card so you don't have to go in. Management needs to take a hard look at employees and the service they provide. I don't need top notch service at a gas station but I certainly don't need to be cussed at. read more

If I could give this gas station no stars I would have selected that option. This is my second incident and I will not be going back. The customer service is non existent and they do not even seem to care. Today I waited in line at rush hour to refill for several minutes. Then the pump would not accept cards and I was told to go inside to pay. I went inside, paid $40, the clerk assigned my fuel to another pump. I went back in, waited in line again to tell them it did not work and then they had me wait outside for about another 15 minutes for them to resolve the issue with other driver who had to refund the fuel. The issue was not even mine to resolve but they would not release my pump. At the end they did not even release my $40 of fuel. I had to go back inside for the third time to address the matter and they gave me a $6 refund slip & no apologies. I asked for manager and they laughed at me like I had cracked a joke... read more

There is no car wash here! Please change settings so you don't show up for car wash searches. Thanks!

My gas light came on and I had to stop to refuel. The refueling process was fine since I did not have to deal with the employees. But, then I decided to buy a scratch off lotto ticket. The employees couldn't be bothered, so I left. I should have just kept driving and called AAA for gas. This place just needs to go away!! Where is eminent domain when you need it. Why have a business if the employees don't want to work. read more

Avoid this gas station. This Chevron station is over run with panhandlers and homeless people. They are obnoxious, aggressive and insulting - getting gas is a very unpleasant experience and the attendant does nothing about it. Last week, a panhandler put a nail in my tire and then pulled it out (without my permission) causing me to get a flat. This all happened in less than 10 seconds, and I could not get him to LEAVE my car. He then wanted MONEY to fix it. I managed to get away, fill it with air and go to a repair shop to get it fixed. But, he was screaming and harassing me the ENTIRE time. The attendant did NOTHING and shame on all the other folks there getting gas who didn't try to step in to stop this guy from harassing me. So, if someone tells you that you have a nail in your tire, IGNORE THEM. It's a SCAM. read more

This conveniently located overpriced Chevron saved the day! I was on EMPPTTTTTY and my map app (shoulda used yelp) kept sending me to gas stations that have probably been closed for ages! There was an interesting character hanging out but I scored a pump far away from him, filled up and went on my way! read more

For whatever reason, Chevron charges you a minimum triple the amount that you purchased if you're using a credit card at their gas pumps. I called and the attendant and she told me they do it for all cards and the refund of the difference is given back to you in two business days. That sounds a bit questionable that a company can over-charge you and then will credit you later. I'd avoid this gas station and it's book-cooking procedure. read more
