The gas pumps are glitchy and jankety. Often they shut down in the middle of pumping and they also do NOT register the loyalty number to get the rewards and discounts no matter how many times you correctly enter it. I tried to tell the apathetic elderly man working inside about pumps 5 and 7 having MULTIPLE problems but he was not trying to hear about any of it. Today was the last time I give this store my money. There are just too many other choices much closer and WITHOUT all the problems and jankety/apathetic/rude customer service. On 1/28/2026 at approx 8:30am I arrived at this location to get a fountain drink refill as I have for dozens of years in the past. The ExtraMile store at this location is tiny, so a person couldn't walk in without being seen by the attendant. After greeting the attendant who acknowledged me with a grunt, I proceeded to the fountain dispenser to fill my cup. As I walked to the register he (Razh) confirmed that I was purchasing a soda refill. Then he returned to what he was doing before I came to the register and then walked over to the drink dispenser for some unknown reason. When he finally rang up the purchase, he charged me $2.53 for the refill instead of the $.99 I'm usually charged at all other ExtraMile locations (see attached). I had to ask him to activate the screen where I enter my rewards number, thinking I would receive the discount I receive at all other ExtraMile locations. After entering my number, the $2.53 still appeared. When I told him I have been charged $.99 at all other ExtraMile stores, he started to argue with me, telling me all the other purchases were wrong. Then he kept saying "I'll show you, I'll show you" and kept arguing with me. At that point I wanted to get out of there so I put $3 on the counter and started to exit the store. Then he started to film my cup and me but made no attempt to give me my change. As I walked out of the store he followed me out the door and continued to film me. At no time did he try to give me my change. I told him several times I was going file a complaint about him and the store, but that just seemed to enrage him even more. The two veterinary practices where I take our dogs for are just a couple of blocks away from this location, but I guarantee I will drive the Extra Mile to avoid this place. read more

We had been shopping in the area and needed to get back to our hotel to pick up the other people in our party. It was pretty hot outside and we had been walking and both really needed something to drink. As we came back to get on the highway, we popped in here to grab something to drink/snack on. We didn't get any gas, so no comment on what other reviews state about that experience. The store had plenty of standard convenience store items to choose between with regard to drinks and snacks (soda, gatorade, water, teas, energy drinks, chips, crackers, jerky, candy, etc, etc, etc). The person that checked us out was nice and got us in and out of there. Not too many people here, so he didn't need to try and help a ton of people all at once (so not sure how efficient they are when they are crowded). All in all our trip in here wasn't bad and we'd stop in here again. read more

The gas station is supposed to be open 24 hours. It isn't. It was locked up at 12:37 pm! I saw someone inside and knocked on the window because I needed a receipt but they ignored me. The pump didn't give out receipts either. I highly encourage everyone to use other gas stations in the area. read more

One of the reviews said there was a $1 charge tacked onto his card for using a credit card to buy gas. I couldn't verify myself because the machine said "receipt inside," and I didn't have time go to get my receipt. That would explain that. Shady as fuck. And their squeegiees didn't work great. Wish I can give this place a 0 don't go to this location they will commit fraud. My gas wasn't coming out to fill up my tank. The manager was so rude didn't want to find a solution he kept arguing that I did take the gas when nothing ever came out. They took my $45 and don't want to give them back. This Chevron location is extremely sketchy and dishonest. The workers are likely trying to scam you, steal, or cheat you out of money. Multiple times when I've paid with cash they've "forgotten" to give me change or I'm shortchanged. One time after paying, I was standing and waiting for my change, and the cashier could not even "remember" that he hadn't given me change. He shouted "I give to you already!" I said he didn't, and the person behind me said he didn't, and he angrily pulled out money and practically threw it on the counter. Another time, a different cashier didn't give me my coin change and was trying to tell me (in broken English) that he was just going to put it in the tip box...I was so confused, but when I realized, I was so over it that I just said sure. If you have a Chevron gift card, don't even bother. Most of the time, they tell you their system doesn't take gift cards in the food mart (lie). Other times they say they can't process the gift card unless you use the whole amount (another lie). One time I was trying to buy a $2 water with a $50 gift card and they asked me to swipe my credit card first or else it "won't validate the purchase". Other times I've had to say "um no thanks" mid transaction: - they had to "manually" collect credit card info, but instead of using a credit card imprinter, the cashier took out a notebook to write down credit card numbers and addresses - they asked for my debit card number when I was paying with credit, and then they asked for my 3 digit security code instead... - two teenagers were working behind the counter and were taking pictures on the screen of customer information - I was buying 2/$3.99 Smart Water and when I went to pay, they rang it up as full price for both. LAST THING -- If you're just paying with card at the gas pumps, remember to get your receipt from inside because they may add on an extra $1 without telling you. read more

This establishment is guilty of either false advertisement or plain theft. This review is about purchasing drinks etc from the shop. I do not get gas here because other stations are cheaper. However, TWICE I have attempted to buy a couple drinks here, and both times I was over charged. Upon pointing out the advertisement stating 2 for $3.99, the cashier simply tells me no. Further, one cashier will charge me the correct price, and there is a specific cashier who never charges for the correct price, and denies selling me a product for the price advertised. This is either FALSE ADVERTISING or this particular cashier is STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS by charging them a higher price than what is listed. I have been using this gas station for 5 years. It is the only one I use. The price is reasonable. It is always clean and well lit. The pumps always work perfectly. The staff inside is professional and accurate. I feel safe here. There are no random people hanging around. They have a small, clean mini shop inside with beverages and snacks for sale. There are entrance/exits on 3 sides due to the location which makes it very fast to enter and exit. read more

This place is run by crooks! Placed $10 in their scratcher machine on the property to get a Black Scratcher. Machine didn't give me anything. So I waited in line and when I got to the front and explained what happened the RUDE old man told me he wouldn't reimburse me. Said the machine wasn't his responsibility and I was on my own. He kept denying me any reimbursement even after seeing me put money in the machine RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. I was forced to leave in disbelief. I never read reviews for this station before but I'm not surprised by the low reviews. Screw this place. He probably pocketed my scratcher after I left. read more

Do not get gas here. Have NO IDEA why they would tack on a $1 charge to my credit card for purchasing gas. This was not a debit and used as a credit card. Complete scam and rip off. Imagine if they are doing this to every customer who gets gas here and uses their credit card. That's alot of extra $ to unsuspecting customers. Manager Name Mahner(something spelled simliar) on sierra Madre and altadena. 8:50 pm memorial day. I came in asking how much a pack of camel 99 was. The Shift manger tells me he needs to see my ID, so I show him. Im legal age everything checks out scans the pack. It comes out to 7 something . Im short and tell him I dont have enough he tried to(from what I understood) cut a deal. But I said no next time I dont have my debit card. I only have 5.55 on hand because ive bought a pack there before. He then tells me I'm not allowed back in the store showing a receipt with my License number on it. Confused I asked him why, he told me California law. Now I'm even more confused because he seemed offended by my attitude. I apologized and left discouraged by his attitude. He wouldn't even let me talk or explain. To my luck I find my debit card and walk in to buy it. He tells me to get the hell out of his store or he'll call the cops. Now I'm just lost on how this escalated to this. So I asked him what I did to cause this.
