Price at pump regular gas $5.79
Paymani P.

I can not believe the sign on street is different from pump for regular gas sign is $5.39 but at pump they charge $5.79 per gallon and I asked for explanation . They don't have no answer . Wow

Rob S.

We had been shopping in the area and needed to get back to our hotel to pick up the other people in our party. It was pretty hot outside and we had been walking and both really needed something to drink. As we came back to get on the highway, we popped in here to grab something to drink/snack on. We didn't get any gas, so no comment on what other reviews state about that experience. The store had plenty of standard convenience store items to choose between with regard to drinks and snacks (soda, gatorade, water, teas, energy drinks, chips, crackers, jerky, candy, etc, etc, etc). The person that checked us out was nice and got us in and out of there. Not too many people here, so he didn't need to try and help a ton of people all at once (so not sure how efficient they are when they are crowded). All in all our trip in here wasn't bad and we'd stop in here again.

I tried to take a picture of him but he stepped out of view

MOST expensive gas in a 15 mile radius!!! Drive a half a mile east or 2 blocks north and save yourself at least 20 cents a gallon.

Before heading to Pasadena yesterday, my car gas gauge was at 2 bars. I said I'll just get gas…read moreafter my workout. Sure enough... my gas gauge was blinking upon leaving my workout location LOL. I had to quickly find a gas station. Well, the nearest gas station was at least 5 minutes from where I was at. It was between Chevron or Shell. Guess who won? You got it... Shell! Funny, as I was driving to Shell, I saw Chevron, but it was on the other side of the street that I was driving on so I said I'll just stick with Shell. Great corner location on Del Mar Blvd and Arroyo Parkway. Clean exterior. Prices were several cents cheaper than Chevron... yay! They also have a food mart, but I didn't go in. I prefer to pay at the pump unless I really need to go inside. If they run out of paper, I just make myself a note on gas cost and be on my way and not bother going inside to get receipt. Anyway, thanks Shell for being present when I needed you most!

Honestly I stopped by to see if there were restrooms available (obviously I would've bought…read moresomething if so) but the guy said no. Now I'm looking at the reviews and it says yes. That was a bad enough experience that I'll not fill gas up here again like I do in the mornings or evenings before or after work. TBH the prices are pretty high compared to even chevron down the street. (Yes it was that serious). EDIT: Shibli, thank you for your response; however, as a business/franchise owner you should ensure that ALL platforms reflect the correct information especially if this has been unavailable for 5+ years -- you've had plenty of time to correct this information. As for the Chevron comment, this is my observation and was took my business there as of this morning. Thank you. These small things make the difference on whether someone will use your service moving forward.

I didn't go to the actual pharmacy part of the store so this is for the main drugstore, but I had…read moresuch a lovely interaction this evening! I went in, mostly just for contact solution, but as I always end up doing when I'm in the CVS, I definitely roamed the aisles and ended up with way more than I bargained for! For one thing, and this is mostly across all CVS locations, I love the store. Some of their things can be expensive, but I live walking to a different location, and I find that when you're a consistent shopper, there are always an abundance of coupons and opportunities to save some dollars. And the convenience is worth it to me. For example, tonight my total was about $64 or so. By the time I had added all of my coupons and signed up for their monthly program, I paid less than $40. Sami helped me out and he was so lovely and kind! He helped me reactivate my ExtraCare membership. I ran in quickly initially without my card since they take Apple Pay, but I needed the physical card to activate my membership. It was truly no issue to run out for my card but he profusely apologized for the inconvenience. Sami was just so friendly and kept up the good natured conversation during our whole interaction whilst still maintaining good efficiency. Overall I left in the least amount of time but feeling completely taken care of. I feel like this is kind of across all locations, but specifically this store did not feel super well stocked. I don't really think that's their fault though. That kind of seems to be the model across most locations. But I will say this specific CVS had a lot more buttons around the store to call the staff since a lot of items are locked up now. My usual CVS definitely doesn't have as many as it needs and it can feel frustrating trying to get help. I needed something today and found an accessible button, and a staff member came very quickly to assist me. Overall, a 10 out of 10, and next time I'm in the area I would definitely stop back here again!

Extremely rude workers…read more Listen, I know the economy is crap and getting paid hourly when you have no other life skills is a crapshoot, but be nice to people. I used one of their carts to transport a case of 24-pack of water. As I was leaving the store, I got stopped by one of their workers who was very rude to me. I explained to him it was a lot to carry to the car and I was going to return the cart when I was done. I even pointed out where my car was. Well, Cart Nazi promptly took out my items and handed me the case of water. Didn't even offer to assist me walking out to my car if he was that concerned. I complained with the store and also left a message with corporate. I know times are hard but pledging allegiance to a corporation who can easily replace you is not the look.

I called and a really nice guy answered and confirmed they had the ice. I asked if he could hold it for me. He advised me that they don't do that but if I came right away it should be fine. I was at the Arroyo TJ's so I quickly headed their way. I was so surprised to see Joe's Ice! It's really cute snd charming! My first impression is that's it's a drive by liquor store. Looked like lots of beer was being sold. The guys worked efficiently and everyone was friendly. I got in line and hit my dry ice. Minimum purchase us 5# fir $13.50. Joe's Ice is my go to place for dry ice! Thanks guys! You are all adorable !

Found this place through Yelp when I was looking for a place to get dry ice for a Halloween Party…read more It's a very small shop, but easy in and easy out!! I loved it!! It's a drive though ice place, yes you read correct, a drive through ice place. There's 2 lines, one on each side of your car. You pull up and the worker asks what you need. I said I needed dry ice. Minimum purchase for dry ice is 5 lbs which will cost you $7.50. I got 5 lbs of dry ice. He put it in a cardboard box because it's really cold and loaded it into my trunk. I paid the worker and he ran back with the change and we were out in less than 5 minutes!! I loved this concept and the no real waiting, There were a few cars in front of us, as it was Halloween, so I'm sure they can get busy. However, with 2 lines full, we were still able to get in and out very quickly!! It's located right at the cross section of Orange Grove. You can bet I will be coming back here for more dry ice again!! The dry ice is in blocks, so you might have to break it some more when you get home, but be careful when you do as you can get a freeze burn from the dry ice. I broke it outside in the box with a towel over the ice so it wouldn't get all over the place. They also sell regular ice, but I don't know how much that is.
