My car battery died this morning, so after getting Auto Club to give me a start, I went down to the station to get a new one. The owner told me he would be glad to put in a battery for me but he suggested I call the dealership first to see if it was covered under warranty. I just assumed it was not covered. Well, as it turns out, it was covered. Just under the max mileage. I thanked the Valero owner and left to go to the dealership. This station owner could have easily charged me and put in a battery. He could have easily said nothing to me. Really appreciate when business owners are honest and have integrity!!! P.S. After posting this on FB, well over 200 people in the community liked the post and a ton of people responded validating what a wonderful and honest man he is! I drove on over, pulled up to a gas pump, put in my credit card, take out my credit card, opened the gas tank, pumped a full tank of gas, closed the gas tank, and drove on out. Quick and easy. Didn't have any interaction with the staff. Didn't walk inside the ExtraMile Mart for anything. I love to pay at the pump. It's my preferred choice every time! I go inside to pay only if I have to. They let me bring my own oil and filter which some shops won't do (I get oil changes aren't big on profit, but if people trust you they will come back for major repairs). Unfortunately, the receipt did not dispense. I was in a hurry and left, trusting that the charge would be correct. For context, when I refuel from about a quarter tank, the total is usually around $70, and my vehicle's tank does not have the capacity to justify a $150 charge. The workers in my expensive have been kind enough , I haven't had any problems with them They also have hand sanitizer still which is cool as I feel a number of gas stations have gotten rid of them. They have the usual squeegee you can use to wipe your windshield although it's super diluted with water compared to other gas stations , This place has a lot of lights so even when it's dark late at night it's no problem seeing around and it feels safer but you're also in Arcadia so I'd say you're already safer than being in other areas They got your usual quick snacks and drinks if you want to buy something on the go.
