Stopped by to get some gas and some tickets. Lady at the counter was annoyed stopping me at mid sentence to let me know rudely that she is doing something and in between shifts. I don't mind if she cannot help me immediately but just let me know nicely. Won't be coming here anymore. Gas is also more expensive than surrounding gas stations. read more

This used to be where I would go for a car wash, but not anymore. During my most recent visit I found pink detergent under my trunk lid and I had to drive home to hose it all off. The staff just ignored me and told me to wipe it off, when people want their car washed they expect quality. read more

Car wash incredibly slow unless you have all day to spend here. I recommend you go elsewhere. Vacuum had a quarter stuck in it. No one bothered to fix it. One might wonder how a test only for a smog certificate could rise to a Five Star review. The answer is simple: Gary. Yes he performed the test quickly and efficiently , but the "Service" that many of us have seen as becoming more and more absent from our society was present and accounted for under Gary's care. He advised me on the proper care of my auto, that I should use a better oil change company . That I should change the oil every 3 thousand miles instead of following the Honda in car alerts. That it has a long term benefit if one uses 91 instead of 89 octane. That I should go to an authorized dealer to have any major work done, even the rear differential or transmission fluids. And lastly get the engine steam cleaned. My 2015 Honda CRV has 135,000 miles on it. I was in good hands with Gary's focus on my car care. read more

Do not go there with a company card.The manager is rude and unprofessional when you ask for a receipt. I have been a customer here for years. Today, the car wash put soap on my car twice and just one light rinse. When I pulled, the entire back of my car was covered in soap. The clerk told that I went through the dry too fast. I explained it wasn't water, it was soap. Her resolution? That I should have wiped it off. She wasn't rude, just very indifferent and uncaring. Their gas is more expensive than other Shell station, but I went for the car was...never again. read more

Used to have a buy 5 get 1 free car wash deal. I had the complete ticket but they didn't honor it. The guy claimed it's only valid for 3 months even though I wasn't told so, nor did it say so on the ticket. Last I came was about 6 months, but moved away, came back and thought I'd use the deal. I have purchased gas at this station many times and the man that was there was super nice. Today I didn't need gas but my son needed to use the bathroom desperately. If you're on a student budget, this is basically the only place in Pasadena place to get a car wash. 9$ for a standard wash, $12 for the deluxe. The car wash accepts credit cards. The wash cost isn't affected by the gas cost. If you're going to P.C.C, there's a better variety of snacks and drinks indoors than in the P.C.C cafeterias, there's a few kinds of protein bars, energy drinks, etc, and a little cheaper, usually. The fridges are very cold. The guys who run it are alright. The gas here is relatively expensive. read more

They are not fair here. They lost the price of fuel at the pump but it's only if you pay cash. The price for a credit card purchase is 10 cents per gallon higher. So if you use reward points they don't give you a good deal here. It is false advertising. The price goes up after you start. Other she'll stations give you a much better deal. I will not go back to this station! read more

This was the cheapest gas I'd seen for my miles. Smog was only $20 and Gary was extremely kind and helpful. He saw a little flaw in my mirror and put a screw in it and it was basically fixed. He ended with "I just like to help people" I am very grateful for Gary and the wonderful staff they have there. I simply came to fill my tank and ended up getting wonderful service and a lovely conversation. I definitely was not expecting that. Smog check was only $20!!! Rather pricey gas but not as ridiculously pricey like the Chevron on Altadena and Foothill. This gas station has a automatic car wash which just recently upgraded. More expensive than the previous but now the machine accepts credit cards, and the process is more efficient than the previous machine. It does the job better in cleaning and the blower covers more space than before. They only have two options instead of three and no more discount based of the amount of gasoline you bought, which I thought was ridiculous anyway. The cost now is $9 for standard car wash and $ 12 for the deluxe carwash. Still quite cheap for a quick carwash considering the drought in California and the risk of getting fined for washing your own car at home. read more

I was a loyal customer of the Shell Gas Station on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. I did my weekly gas fill up and monthly car wash at this gas station. Last week, I had a bad experience with the staff at the gas station while using the air pressure machine. I noticed my right rear tire was nearing flat and decided to use the air/water machine at the station. I parked in front of the machine, looked up the correct pressure for my car, uncapped the tires, put in 4 quarters for using the machine, and proceeded to fill the tire. A woman came by and asked how long I would be because she needs to use the machine as well. I told her that it won't take long. After I filled the air for two tires, the machine stopped. I put in another 4 quarters and proceeded to put air in the other two tires. At this time, a staff of the gas station came by and asked me to 'Hurry up. Another customer is waiting to use the machine'. I was astonished. In California, Assembly Bill 531 requires service stations "to provide, during operating hours, water, compressed air and a gauge for measuring air pressure, to the public for use in servicing any passenger or commercial vehicle." The law goes on to state that "these air and water services be made available at no cost to customers who purchase motor vehicle fuel." Not only the gas station charged me for air, the staff rudely rushed me off. I told him that I am a paying customer and he can tell that I'm filling up the tire. The staff went on and said "Just hurry up. The other customer said you have been here for a while." I could not have been there for more than 5 minutes. Instead of offering help, the staff hastily dismissed me. At that point, the Shell Gas company has lost a loyal customer! read more

This car wash caused me more work! It left spots and soap all over it. I had to go home and clean it all over again! Very disappointed, boo!

I was filling my tank, and there was a shard of glass sticking out of the rubber bumper around the pump island. It caught my foot as I walked by, and ripped a 3 inch hole of the leather of my dress shoes. Absolutely destroyed them beyond repair. Thank God it did not go through to my skin, or I'd be getting major stitches right now. When I pointed this out to the attendant, he walked out and looked at the piece of glass, and went back in the station. He did not ask me if I was hurt, he did not ask me if my shoe could be repaired, he did not offer any semblance of an apology.....but he did charge me for the bottle of water I bought. My shoes are ruined, and he could have cared less. Unbelievable lack of concern for a customer....I am in shock at his indifference. read more

I went here mainly for a nice car wash and after paying $8.00 for it (plus filling up with gas) I expected a real heavy duty wash but it lasted only 3 minutes! I went in to find out what was going on and the guy told me they don't use soap, but just water!!! I could have sprayed my car off with the garden hose and saved my 8 bucks.
