Luckily it was restored after a fraud investigation. The other problem I have here is the pumps are difficult to use sometimes, and they tend to pop off while you're pumping your gas. The last time I went by there it was under construction in January 2026. Hopefully when the repairs are made, they won't have these problems anymore.

There's an ARCO gas station just across the street and gas here is $0.50+ more expensive than the ARCO gas station, but many visitors come here to pay homage and buy few Lottery tickets to see if lightning can strike twice. Unfortunately the restroom here is not available for public so I am knocking a star and the convenience store has a really small & limited selection (knocking another star.)

The first time we went the owner refused to let us in and did not want to unlock the door. He blamed the door being locked on "homeless people near by " but there was absolutely no one there NOR at the gas station in general. He finally let us in but was staring at the camera the entire time as if we were going to steal. The second time and last time we went, the owner was in the back eating and we had to knock on the window to get his attention due to the door being locked but the sign said that it was opened. This time he refused to let us in and said the reason was because the last time we came we only purchased one item. (We got 3 things) we were slightly irritated so we just decided to walk back to the car since it was late. Immediately after we closed our car door, he let in a customer that also had to tap on the glass to get his attention but yet still refused to let us in because of the little amount of things we previously purchased. Overall the owner is extremely rude and the door is always locked even though the sign says open. I would recommend getting your gas from another shell.

Before heading to Pasadena yesterday, my car gas gauge was at 2 bars. I said I'll just get gas…read moreafter my workout. Sure enough... my gas gauge was blinking upon leaving my workout location LOL. I had to quickly find a gas station. Well, the nearest gas station was at least 5 minutes from where I was at. It was between Chevron or Shell. Guess who won? You got it... Shell! Funny, as I was driving to Shell, I saw Chevron, but it was on the other side of the street that I was driving on so I said I'll just stick with Shell. Great corner location on Del Mar Blvd and Arroyo Parkway. Clean exterior. Prices were several cents cheaper than Chevron... yay! They also have a food mart, but I didn't go in. I prefer to pay at the pump unless I really need to go inside. If they run out of paper, I just make myself a note on gas cost and be on my way and not bother going inside to get receipt. Anyway, thanks Shell for being present when I needed you most!

Very convenient gas station located in the middle of Pasadena and fairly close to the very busy 210…read morefreeway. Gas prices are higher than at other gas stations, but not by much. The one thing I didn't like was the aggressive panhandlers asking for money while I was pumping gas. My head was on a swivel the entire time as I had three panhandlers approach me during my brief visit, asking for change. They may not mean harm, but one never knows. This is no fault of the gas station, but it did make my visit a negative experience for my family and me.
