I had just driven all the way from Humboldt county, I asked politely to use the restroom, the attendant yelled "no!!!!!" Even though there is a sign on the door that says "restroom inside". I asked politely to make a purchase and he yells "what do you want!?" Through the speaker. He wouldn't let me inside, I asked to buy a lighter and he yelled the price at me. Idk what his problem is, but if you're a rude motherfucker you probably don't want to work in customer service. Please please fire this guy and hire someone with manners. I will never go to that gas station again and I'll be calling corporate so no one has to deal with this prick ever again. They charge for AIR?!?! Never have I paid for air, but just wanted to get it done. So I gave the lady $1.50. Unfortunately it turned off too early. I went inside and told the lady, she replied, "of course it turned off, it has a timer." So I asked her if she would turn it on again. She said, " only if you give me another $1.50 ." This is the crappiest gas station ever! The convenience store is poorly run. The cashier lady is always "suspicious". Their coffee station is the worse; worse selection of coffee. To make things even worse- you need to get the cups from the cashier! What the heck- I gave the cup back! I wish I could give negative stars. The cashier was incredibly rude to me! I stopped in while riding my bicycle to get some Gatorade. I wheeled my bike into the store because I didn't have a lock with me. The cashier immediately barked at me "YOU NO BRING BIKE IN HERE!" I left. By the way, I've spent thousands of dollars on gas here over the years, and it will be a cold day in hell before I spend another dime. Not because she wouldn't let me bring my bike inside, mind you, but because of her rudeness. In case you are reading this you rude, repulsive wench, the appropriate way to express your dislike of bicycles entering the establishment would be something along the lines of "I'm sorry sir, but store policy prohibits bicycles inside". Just terrible ownership. The woman that works behind the counter (the owner) is quite possibly the rudest and most abrasive person I have ever met. She has accused me of being in the store for too long after I had searched for a specific drink that they did not carry. The gas is priced $1 more per gallon than any other gas station in the area. Prices for food/drinks change from what they are listed at on the shelves at the counter, I'm pretty sure the prices are just made up on the spot. Never have I been so "cheesed off" about a visit to a gas station in my life, a chevron station no less! You pay about $0.75 - $1.00 more a gallon for gas here. Went inside to buy some soft drinks with my debit card and was told they don't accept cards for that small of a purchase. They didn't even offer to charge me the transaction fee to make the sale. But then again why would they need to when they are ripping everyone off on gas? read more

I filled up gas (over-priced but that is what this market bears so whatever) and asked them to turn on air. Some rude person asked for $1.50. I said their own posted sign says they have to legally give it to me for free. He said no, I can call 911 if I wanted. I submitted complaint on https://apps4.cdfa.ca.gov/AirWaterComplaint/. Oh my gosh! The guy who was cleaning the top of the gas stand, who was next to me, was so polite and friendly and talkative! I could not believe it! You do not find people like him, and since it was my first time in this city and this station, I would def come back because the service was so well! He actually ended up walking me into the store and took my cash and we had a mini conversation! I did not buy anything other than gas, but I did look around and things were very clean and organized, but granted, the cash register was in the middle and you could not see it behind all of the food and stuff. I already feel better to see from other reviews that I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Basically, this is how my conversation went today after an older female employee SITTING OUTSIDE ON THE GROUND walks in to meet me: Me: Hi, I just bought some gas do you mind turning on the air for me? Employee: It's $1.50. Me: I think by law you have to provide air to customers who buy gas. Employee: I didn't see you get gas. Me: Do you want me to show you my bank statement on my phone? Employee: *scoff* whatever. She turned on the air in the end but why does it take me having a debate in a Chevron to do so? She also made me feel like garbage. Can I give zero stars? There were three broken pumps at this station this afternoon and an extremely rude attendant named Alaha. The gas fumes are not well-controlled by the pump nozzles and I wonder whether these are in violation of current standards. The pump handles themselves are cracked and splitting and barely operational, and the gas pumps operate twice as slowly as other stations in the area. Come on, owners! This is a profitable station, and they need to make the investments to upgrade. Then, too, they need to attend to the cultural notion of customer service and basic responsiveness to a customer who would like to purchase gas! I will never shop here again. Not only did the owner/cashier watch my every move around the store like I was going to steal something (I was trying to find the tums), when she went to ring me up my 2, Yes TWO small rolls of tums came to a total of almost $10!! I though she was joking! I mean these are the small single rolls not a Costco size bottle. I told her no Thanks. I have never, ever been made to feel like a thief in a store. This gas station is only good in an emergency. Lucky for it, it is the only gas station on some major thoroughfares, which means it will still get business even though it's gas prices are always at least 75c higher than any other gas station nearby. If you need to stop here, put a couple gallons in the tank and then move on. read more

I don't often get gas here as their prices are much higher than I can easily afford elsewhere. But they are on my commute, so I do stop in from time to time and purchase gas. This morning, however, I just pulled in to clean my front windshield after a near incident with a pedestrian. Immediately someone came out and reprimanded me for "using their station as a car wash" when I was not a paying customer. I explained that I am a customer from time to time, but this morning I just needed to clean my windshield so as to drive safely. During our exchange I was asked whether I had receipts in my car to prove I had bought gas there, whether I had not realized I could have washed my windshield in my own driveway, and did I not understand the reason for the overpriced gas had to do with zoning. Seriously? Whatever happened to the notion of "service stations?" There were no other customers at the pumps that I was blocking (no wonder) and while I understand that any filling station may have "freeloader" type guests, reproaching me with such lack of sympathy or interest in ever securing my future business successfully assured that they will indeed never get another nickel of my business. read more
