This is the only gas station on the downhill of Woodside and the other one being at skylonda and skywood. I live in Woodside so this is the closest one but also the most expensive one too. They are very dirty too. The outside smells like human urin not hose urin I know there's a lot of horses but that's not horse urin. There diesel has water in it, our check engine light turns on anytime we get gas here bad place never going here again. I know the city so I will ask the town of Woodside to remove there permit for there license to operate as they rob your money. The girl "Glenday" or whatever her name is so rude and can't count. I gave her money for my drink and she gives me incorrect change. When bringing this up to her attention, she immediately starts accusing me of lying. Um, lady you can check the cameras, also I was standing right there and showed you the change you gave me, you can clearly see it isn't correct. Don't be mad at ME because YOU cannot count... never in my life have I ever tried to get extra money out of a cashier or anyone..I'm not a crackhead or a hobo, I have nothing to gain about lying over a measly $8.. Also gas is super expensive here BUT it is Woodside, so this is one of those gas stations where you put in just enough to get you where you need to go and then get cheaper gas elsewhere LOL. read more

Got off 280 since I was running low on gas. After about a mile off the exit, you come to this quaint little area with older buildings. This Chevron is clean and across from the Pioneer hotel. I believe it is expensive but when you need gas...you need gas. read more

This is our neighborhood gas station, but we will never use it again. Will have to plan my week to get gas further away from home. Five times now my credit card has been skimmed/stolen here in the last couple years. For a final test, after avoiding using a specific card for a long time, yesterday I used this card at only this station. The only transaction for weeks. Within hours of using the card here, it had two new transactions under $2 from international vendors -- a typical technique for scammers to verify the stolen card is usable. This is the exact pattern I have seen many times already from this station, on cards barely used anywhere else. So now I have to get a new card *yet again*. I find it extremely hard to believe that this one place can get cards scammed this often without someone at the business, or a contractor that comes in, being complicit. Note I'm not the only one having complained like this on Yelp for this station. read more

I guess that Woodside is growing on me. Once you start buying your gas here, despite the slight markup, you KNOW that you are a local. Here's why we make this our basic fill-up stop: it's NOT just about the price. It's about the intangibles. Intangibles, you say? Come on! Gas is gas, no? Low prices rule! Not so fast. For us, it matters that we can stop here at 6:30 AM on the way to work, rain or shine, fog or sun, and know that: (1) there will always be open pumps that take credit and print receipts (2) the "Scrub-N Squeegee" is always clean and the towel dispenser is full (3) the air pump works and is free (it's the law in CA) (4) the lights are on, it's safe, the staff are always present (5) it is easy to exit and enter Woodside Rd. (6) the prices are fair, not too expensive and not the cheapest, either. (7) there is only ONE gas station in all of Woodside. One is enough. I don't want more of these fossil fuel delivery centers clogging the roadside. That would make downtown Woodside (such as it is) too much like all the other places on the other side of I-280. If you want cheaper gas, just keep driving. If you want to refuel in comfort and convenience, come here. We refuel consistently in less than five minutes. Always. That's worth a little extra, in my opinion. Because sometimes, it's not just about the price. It's about service, safety, and being a good neighbor. Communities matter. This Chevron is a small town gas station. It's pretty tight to get in and out of this spot, especially if people are parked in different directions and trying to line up the gas tanks to the pumps. My patience was getting tested. Expect to pay a little more here. When we passed the next gas station a few miles up the road, we realized we paid .08 more here than the Chevron a few miles away. For us, we didn't mind paying the extra because it was more convenience for us. We paid for our gas at the pump but from what I can see, there is a very small store front but I can't imagine it will be stocked with tons of things. Probably just the basics. read more

My bank tracked this Chevron on Woodside, in Woodside, as the thief of my credit card information on 3/25/11, 6PM. My bank suspects that one of the employees has a device that reads magnetic strips, and then forwarded that information to another Chevron employee or friend or himself in Compton and Long Beach, California. Buyers beware, but someone here is a thief! In spite of the fact there is no direct evidence that an employee did it, the circumstantial evidence points directly to an employee (and yes this could also be the owner). read more

Nearly out of gas and in Woodside, don't worry, the ride back to civilization is mostly downhill and you can coast your car back all the way in neutral rather than stop here. In fact, I'd rather run out of gas than stop here just for the principle of the matter. All you have to do is drive across 280 on to Woodside Road into Redwood City and the gas prices go down 30 cents a gallon. Why anyone would ever stop into this rip off of a station is beyond me. They are gas gougers, pure and simple. But I suppose if you are flush with cash or want a Woodside Chevron charge on your charge car bill for prestige, it doesn't matter. What do you do when you are making your way down 84 and realize the gas light has come on? Well, you can either plan on putting the car in neutral and hoping you make it to a station down on Alameda, or you remember there is this station by Whiskey Hill Rd. The biggest problem is getting out of this station once you are in. You have to contend with traffic coming up 84, which come around a fairly-blind turn. And they come fast! There is also all of the traffic coming down from town, which includes a lot of cyclists. And then there are cars and cyclists coming off Whiskey Hill. So it is a bit terrifying, but at least you don't have to worry about putting the car in neutral. read more

BE FOREWARNED. Myself and a friend stopped in here to top off our motorcycles before heading out towards the coast and back to Sonoma county. I had just bought this touring bike from the deal earlier that day. I'm filling the tank when gas explodes out of the tank showering the bike and me with gas. . The pump didn't shut off. I turn to warn my friend just in time to see his pump do the same thing to his bike. Not a great way to start a 100 mile ride. I approached the attendant after trying to wipe up the mess to inform him they have issue and was greeted with a blank stare. I should have known when I got off the bike and the ground was super slick that something was wrong. I get gas at Chevrons 99 out of 100 times in all my vehicles. Yelp wants me to write a review for this gas station. What can I say, I felt safe, filled up pretty quickly, this spot is close to the freeway, 10/10 would come here again to get gas. You should definitely fill up here if you are low and are traveling north, its the closest gas station to the freeway from Woodside to Daly City on the 280 side, otherwise you have to drive east towards 101 in traffic hell to fill up on gas. read more

We specifically stopped at this gas station since it was a chevron and generally their bathrooms are clean. Not this one. The door doesn't lock and their is hair, grime and dirt everywhere in the bathroom. Avoid it! read more

Last time I go in there...I usually don't like to go to the station anyway as their prices are the highest on the peninsula other than Portola Valley... Well today was my last time - other than the highest gas prices around, you can barely get a grunt out of the idiot behind the counter...
