It's been a year and a half since I was here and had such awful service. A friend told me recently that all the people are different now and they have some pretty good bargains. One is a $45 ($55 for trucks) hand wax (Carnauba) and the other is an $8 exterior wash. So far I've had the hand wax for my car and my truck and just got an exterior wash today. Solid job with none of the problems I had before. As far as I'm concerned as long as they keep up the good work and offer these good values they're my car wash. They call these specials on the sign but they always seem to have them. And no coupons required. The exterior wash beats the costco touches wash by a mile. read more

The customer service sucks and the the wash is horrible and slow and employees are very rude I wouldn't recommend going there

It appears locking your keys in the car is common at this car wash. Need I say more?!?

I'm done with this place. Last time I went here solely to have my trunk vaccuumed. I got all the way home just to realize they didn't even touch it. They guy wiping down my windows even opened my trunk to wipe the inside glass but completely disregarded the mess. I've been coming here for years and I don't even know why. They never do a good job and I leave every time asking myself why I go there. So I'm done! read more

Just got my car fully detailed and sparkling clean. Service is as quick as a car wash can be. Don't expect poor service, all the employees are helpful and efficient. Their convenience store is fully stocked and the slurpees are amazing. The coffee is great too! As I was waiting for my car to be cleaned they informed me that Tuesdays are $2.00 off regular, premium, or super premium. Make sure to stop by. And if you are in need of gas the prices are the best in the area. Plus they offer a car wash discount with gas purchase. read more

Big ripoffs, stay away!!! I paid for a hand wax, and caught the attendant PRETENDING to do a hand wax!!! He was going around the car with an open can of wax and a rag, but I noticed he was never sticking the rag into the wax. Right after that he said he was done, with no waiting or buffing out. I have been going there off and on for many years, but not any more! Many times over the years I caught them not giving me the rainbow wax or other extras I paid for. I would complain and they would run it through again. This was the last straw. read more

I've gone here several times out if convenience, and did get my car washed once. The price was high I thought, but they did a good job, put a lot of attention to drying and making sure everything was wiped and dry and clean. I did have an incident where I left my car to go inside and get coffee.... Someone, a customer, walked to my car, got in and stole my phone. I asked for the owner to please show me the cameras. Not only did they all work and very efficiently, we saw the person who did it. We couldn't find her, although I continued to go to the station and a few days later when I went in, the owner remembered the lady, got my phone back and had it, recognized me and gave me my phone. I was overwhelmed with gratitude that he went the extra mile to look out for this person and also eagerly waited for me to come back in. Perfect timing, as I was about to spend a lot of money to replace my phone, I also would not have been able to recover a lot of data. To this I am very grateful and will continue to support this business.... Amazing... read more

So I went to this Car wash about a month ago and I thought the Prices were pretty steep for a simple wash and dry, I took my wife's car in and I went with the "Exterior" wash witch only does the Outside. I got my car back after about 20 mins. And once I inspected it noticed lots of dirt spots and streaks all along the hood. I asked the washers to please wipe down again. They seemed hesitant but did it. I figured ok no worries they were busy and had other cars in line. About a month later I needed a wash bad and was driving by it and figured why not. I pulled into and was greeted by a older hispanic guy who didn't seem to friendly. I asked what was the best yet basic wash I could get he tried to sell me "the special" for like 25$. I said no thanks I just want my car cleaned inside and out. So next one lower in price was 15$. I agreed. Waited about 15 mins. And was whistled at by one of the washers informing they were all done. I opened my door and saw the same dirt spots and crumbs all in my panel from before I paid the 15$. I showed the washer and he said it would be extra money if I wanted my door cleaned... WHAT!? I said your telling me I have to pay more money just to have some dirt and crumbs vacuumed from my door panel!? No way. He then laughed and said ok no problem and proceeded to clean it a little then walked away to tend to another car. I then walked inside and asked to speak to a Mngr. I was then greeted by the same grumpy hispanic guy from who I first talked to and decided witch wash I wanted. He said "whats your problem" I said I am not satisfied of the job ur washers did as there is still crumbs dirt and couple streaks on front window. He then said well u get what u pay for! Its clean but if u want better u will need the detail special witch he then said in a cocky voice its 88$.. I laughed and said ur crazy. He said ok bye and walked off. Very rude and unprofessional. One of the chevron mngrs came out and tried to apologize for his actions. He even went out of his way and cleaned the rest of the Dirt off my car. Nice of him. But sorry the other rude guy made u loose a customer for life. This place is a joke and is way over priced. Next time I will do it my self save the bad treatment. read more

Hey, it says HAND WASH and they ran my car through a machine wash!! then the charged me an xtra dollar because it was an SUV. i didn't even see that until i looked at my receipt later. never mentioned it on the sign. finally, i get to the vehicle and there is still tree and bird junk stuck it. false advertising and a lousy job. read more

Thy locked my keys in my car with the car running. Did not offer any kind of compensation or even apologize for it! I will NEVER come back her again. read more

Never again. First issue, I paid for a hand wax for a Toyota Highlander, left to run errands, retrieved car, got home to discover the entire top of the SUV had not been touched. I did it myself. Not learning from that error, took my wife's Subaru Outback in for a simple wash, came home to find some sort of dried wax residue all over every bit of trim on the car, top to bottom. Took the car back immediately, met with guy named Alex, wash was closed, told me to bring it in following day to get it cleaned up. Went in today, Alex not around, got nothing but attitude, argument, and blame from guys there telling me the dried wax had to have been there before, they couldn't have caused the problem, etc. Ran the car through the wash again, did nothing to fix the issue. I had to spend 90 minutes of my own time with an aftermarket product hand buffing the trim to remove whatever crud they had gotten on the car. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I recently moved to Camarillo and went to the Arniel Car Wash for the first time. I drove into the bay area and handed my car over to a gentleman who appeared to be recently let out of prison. The rest of the crew looked like criminal line up. I felt uneasy. I then went to the cashier to pay and could not understand what was being said to me. The poor attempt to speak English was not appreciated. I'm not sure what country the cashiers were from. My car was washed but seemed to take an eternity. I eventually learned they locked my keys inside the car! So I went to the manager for assistance. He not only spoke poor English, but he was unsympathetic. He said basically it was my problem, but if he wanted to, one of his people would open it. At this time, I saw one of the car washers walking over to my car with a 6' wire. Even though his experience may have gotten into the car easily, I was not assured it would be done without damage. I had to call my wife to bring an extra key. During this time, the manager made no attempt to compensate me for the time spent waiting or any inconvenience this may have caused. Not even a free car wash (not that I will ever return). I would not recommend this place to anyone! You are better off at the weekend high school car wash! read more

* WORST CAR WASH SERVICE IN CAMARILLO * * ABSOLUTE DISREGARD TO CUSTOMER CARE Went to fill up gas, and was asked do you want "Car Wash" (If you get a Car Wash , they give a discount of $2), I said "Yes" and asked for the "Premium Wash", immediately the gas pump said "Please see the the attendant Inside", so I went and asked the attendant why is the pump asking me to see you, she tells me that you have to complete the transaction and print the receipt , and it will give you the "Code" and "Discount on Car Wash", So after printing the receipt, it did not show the discount on "Gas" but charged my full price, so I went back and told her that it did not give discount the price on Gas, so she tells to go to the "Car Washing" Guys and tell them that you filled up the Gas I said OK, so I go there and "Alex" comes out and tells me that that the discount I am supposed to get is only if you "Pay Cash" for "Car Wash" ,so I asked him what is the "Special Car Wash" you have so he "Sells me the " $24.99 Premium Car wash special with cleaning the indoor and outside with "Armoral" and inside Leather cleaning, The carpets were not vacuumed properly and the dust and dirt was still on the carpet. The car was waiting for me after I finished my errands, I come back and open the door and the inside of the car was not even clean, They did not bother to clean the door, leather seats had marks, the door panel had smudges. This CAR IS ONE OF THE WORST IN CAMARILLO It was RIP CAR WASH. I have so many picture as evidence...it is not funny. read more

I went here about a month ago. I paid for the just about $30 wash because i hadn't washed my car in a long time. It was all dont within 30 minutes which isn't too much of an issue but i thought it was too quick for how bad my car was, but i was in a rush. From the outside it looks pretty good so i tipped and drove to the event i needed to be at. It wasn't until the next day that i noticed all the flaws. There was still a spill mark on the dash board from my daughters juice. Nothing had been touched with ar like they stated. the inside of my windows weren't cleaned my cup holder wasn't cleaned and there was no air freshener in my car that they said was included. I could have saved the money and did it my self and did a better job! Will never go to this car wash again. read more

I was getting a car wash and waiting for it with my friend after I paid for it. I finally saw my car come out from the conveyer belt in neutral, waiting for the worker to move it and dry it off. Well, we watched as another car came from behind off the conveyer belt and bumped my car. My car started to roll. The Chevron employees didn't seem to notice or pay attention. I had to run over, jump into my car and quickly put the emergency brake on before it rolled into someone else's car. The car that bumped my car left scratches on my bumper. When I found the manager he didn't seem to concerned and told me I could get a free car wash next time. I told him that I would not be coming back and that I needed my money back. After going back and forth about it, he finally gave me a refund for my car wash. First, I could have gotten hurt or injured while trying to save my car from damaging someone else's. Second, my car was damaged. Third, there was no concern for my safety or the safety of the other employees and customer vehicles. I would not recommend this chevron for car washes. read more

avoid this car wash at all costs!!! there is only one truth to any situation and everything i am being told by this car wash is a different story and complete fabrication. the problem is that the stick shift boot was separated from the center console when the car wash personnel was detailing my car. the car wash person first denied ever touching that area of my car but later said the damage was already there when i asked how was armor-all applied to the stick shift boot and center console if that area was never touched. the owner named "kamaal" told me he looked at the cameras and said that his person never touched that part of my car. i asked if they use cameras inside my car and the answer was "no". so my question to the owner is how can he view cameras that are not inside my car? not possible. the owner offered $100 toward repairs but said i need to take my car to his mechanic. then the owner asked for an estimate prior to repairs being done. that's not going to happen. this car wash had every opportunity to correct this issue for the past three days, i am not going to delay these repairs any further. it appears to me that this will be a very minor and simple repair. my car is being repaired at my normal mechanic here in town that is also ase certified. they have always been honest with me and does an excellent job. my opinion on the integrity of this car wash is shared by many as listed in other reviews here on yelp. keep in mind before considering doing any business with arneill chevron car wash aka ponderosa car wash is that this place is the worst yelp rated car wash is camarillo. read more

The service here is really bad! They advertise 100% hand car wash, but its anything but that. They started using a brush on the end of a pole instead of the softer hand wash mitts in their soap down process. When i complained to the cashier an employee from the wash area came out and spoke to me. I explained this to the employee but he tried to make me look stupid, like what wash mitts are you referring to? I said the ones in the wash sinks your workers haven't beed using on the prior cars i see going through. He says to me "sir, the bristles on those brushes are softer than the hair on your head" Then suddenly on the car ahead of mine, 2 employees started using the mitts, and washed downed this car extremely well. I think they thought it was my car. But then when my car came up these employees were gone and my car got NO such treatment. After complaining again to them when may car is ready to rinsed, he comes running up look look they are washing it now. At this point asked for a refund, $19.00 for a premium car wash is anything but here! It's sad because we have used this car wash over the last 25 years in camarillo, but this management has to get their act together or they will keep loosing customers. read more
