I strongly recommend that you avoid this carwash if you don't want your car damaged. Yesterday I went through the "Ultimate Drive Thru" for $14. You don't drive through, you are pulled through by a chain drive under your wheels, with your brakes off and car in neutral. The beating of the rubber "brushes" - or whatever you call the ribbons of whirling strips that beat the car- was the loudest, most violent of any carwash I've ever been through. It was so violent that it beat the paint off a portion of my front bumper and folded my front license plate into thirds. I spoke to the manager in charge, Alex , who advised me that the damaged paint was my "responsibility" because I "drove through." Took my car in for a wash the first time in about 4 months. With all the rain I just hadn't done it. I have a dash camera in my car that has front rear and interior views. It's plugged into my phone charger outlet. So tell me why they felt the need to unplug it? Is it because you didn't want to be caught going through the car? If I could give it no stars I would. Their car wash machine stripped the paint from my car and they have given me the run around. Similar thing happened to someone else the same day and he and I happened to connect over this issue. Both of us have had challenges getting any type of refund and/or repair made. They told me to get an estimate and once I did they said it wasn't "specific enough". Today I just spent $12 (over priced) to the drive through a car wash that did absolutely nothing. My car came out dirtier than before! There is dirt everywhere on my car still and it did not take off any of the dirt. The workers at the end that dry the car off are a nice touch, I am sure they are hard working individuals, but the car wash itself as you drive through it is just AWFUL! This is also the Ponderosa Car Wash at the Chevron. It popped up on a google search while I was looking for a full service car wash. My beloved German shepherd isn't doing too well and after a lengthy and intrusive vet visit, he shat all over the back of my car. While I scrubbed and cleaned up what I could , my SUV was still in need of a good scrubbing and I could not for the life of me find a detailing place that could take me same day. This place offers a mini detail for $159 which includes shampooing of seats and carpet. 3 hours later my car was sparkling and fresh! It wasn't perfect (like they didn't clean inside my cup holders?) but the rest of the car got a major scrub down and I was happy. read more

I chose their top detailing option at $299, and tried to tell the attendant that there was a sticky material on my seat and ask they spend some additional time on it. The attendant snapped at me, cutting me off to assure me "they will clean it". Well, they didn't. The seat is as sticky now as it was before the cleaning. In hindsight, they mentioned a stain on the same seat they couldn't get out. I realize now, because he refused to listen, he must have assumed I was talking about that stain when I tried to tell him about the sticky area. I went to go through the car wash and the side mirror got knocked off in the middle of it. Manager denied liability, and will not cover any damages. He did try to glue it back on... with Krazy glue and gorilla glue tape, after spending 30 minutes with him. Not pleased with lack of accountability for this business and I am not shocked it has a low rating. The employees are nice and I could tell they felt bad. They mentioned this is NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, and the fact that management has not done anything to replace the machine is outrageous. I have a love/hate relationship with this car wash. Sometimes the results are great, other times I feel like my garden hose at home could have done a better job. I've even splurged for the mini and full detailings before, but even then, sometimes just a regular car wash would have been comparable or better. The last time I got a "full detail", my car's back bumper was still filthy; it was obviously a half-assed job with minimal effort. TIP: If you're not happy, say something!! Don't just drive away grumbling. The check-in manager is consistently friendly, as well as the cashiers. The quality of car wash you get here all depends on which worker is assigned to your car. There is a partially covered waiting area outside with some tables. It's usually enough seating for patrons, but when it's busy, I recommend killing time and supporting some of the local businesses in the shopping center --- walk around at the 99 cents store or, my personal favorite: Go get a chorizo burrito at Tapatio! Service was very mediocre and I was told that they have a special wife waxing the outside and inside of the car which happened on the outside and not on the inside and when I asked they said it was done. Mind you, I was standing right where the car was done and didn't see him do it. Oh that was 40 bucks. They gave me the run around after they drove my car and had accident. Accidents happen, how you handle it is more important. First they tried to deliver the car without telling us there was an accident. Thank god there was another customer there that saw the accident and mentioned it. Then they would not give us their insurance information. Then the contacts provided kept giving us run around. Finally filled with my own insurance as they stopped answering their calls. I highly recommend this place for car washes and detailing. Great service and friendly staff. My kids and I come here every other week for a car wash and we have breakfast while waiting. They have very good tacos & avocado toast and excellent shrimp pasta. My kids love the toys section. I am have been a long time customer that is very disappointed. I went to the car wash on 12/21/18 and when I received my car back I noticed that the attendant broke the button that moves my passenger seat that moves backward and forward. I went to the manager, Alex Gura, and he told me to get it fixed and he would pay for it. I said no I want you to guarantee that you will pay for it. I got the estimate from Mercedes it will be $500 to get it fixed. He told me that the owner would be back on Monday and that he will take care of it. I have called them, went back and email and no answer. Now I am going to small claims court to get this resolved. Last Tuesday (May 31, 2016), I went to this gas station to fill up my tank and made a last minute decision to get a car wash. As I watched my car go through the car wash tracks, it had difficulty exiting the machine and appeared to be stuck on something. I then closely observed the car wash employees as they tried to figure out what went wrong. The front-left wheel of my car caught onto one of the railings on the machine. An employee attempted to shake my wheel to get it loose, but eventually had to squeeze his way into my car, well before it was completely out of the machine and had to forcibly drive it out. I initially didn't think too much about what happened, until I noticed two days later (Thursday - June 2, 2016), that my front left wheel and left side skirt were severely damaged. The front left wheel has a deeply-etched 6-inch gash from the center of the wheel, extending outward, and scuffs around the outer edge of the rim. The left side skirt was also damaged and had 2 inches deeply-shaved off from the furthest left corner, nearest to the front left wheel. Soon after noticing these damages, I drove back to the gas station to see if I could speak to the store manager. I was directed to a supervisor, who allowed me to closely observe the car wash tracks. As I looked at the tracks, I noticed that one of the hex bolts that secures a yellow plastic track railings to the ground was missing and the top left corner of the rail was shaved off and had some black plastic residue, which I assume was from my side skirt. The supervisor told me that he would watch the security camera footage and relay my information to the store manager. The next day, I was contacted by the supervisor and was told that he observed the videos and did not notice anything that could have caused my car to get stuck. I then tell him that I had taken photos of the damaged rails (missing hex bolt and shaved black plastic residue) the day prior, and he instantly said that he would take a second look at the videos, as if he didn't watch them to begin with. I asked if I could watch the videos with them and he said that it would not be a problem, as long as the manager was present. I was contacted on Sunday (June 5, 2016) by the supervisor and he asked if I could come in on Monday to review the camera footage. I told that I would not be available during his proposed time. I kindly asked if we could schedule it for Tuesday in afternoon and he said that he would leave a note with his manager to call me back. Tuesday comes along (June 7, 2016) and I called four times to get a hold of the manager and to see if they had acknowledged the "note left behind" by the supervisor, but each time I called, the manager was never present. Call Log: 11:02 am: A lady answers the phone and I was told that the manager would be coming in at 1:00pm. 1:08 pm: The same lady answers and says that the manger was still not there. I was asked to call back at 2:00pm. 2:10 pm: A man answers and his response to my request to speak to the manager seemed to annoy him and he had an extremely aggressive tone. He stated that his manager was still not there, took my number, and said that I would be contacted at 4:00pm, when his manager would come in. 4:40pm: Patiently waiting past 4:00pm, I still didn't hear from the manger and I decided to call them, once again, to see if the manager was present. A lady answered the phone told me that the manager was briefly there, but had to leave to manage an Oxnard location. She then tried to get off the phone immediately by saying that she had customers to help, as if I wasn't a customer on the phone. In addition to the employees' carelessness when it comes to washing cars and not ensuring that their equipment is properly maintained, I am extremely disappointed with the facility's lack of communication among employees and their horrible customer service. Monica is one of the nicest clerks here. She has a lot of repeat customers as they always seem to talk to her and she always is greeting everyone that does come into the store. It's basically a gas station with a car wash. The guys (car wash end) are always professional and take care of my car really efficiently in about 20 mins. I went to have my truck washed today as I typically do at this location, and I decided to pamper my truck and have them wax it and do the Clay Bar on the paint after paying nearly $100 with tip I realized the job done was awful, basically they washed it really really good, vacuumed it and put a ton of tire dressing all over it.. Now don't get me wrong it looks great (for a premium wash) keep in mind I paid for a wash wax and clay bar treatment $100 that's way to much for a (premium wash) I'll never return to this place for their services, the truck clearly wasn't waxed, and definitely want clay bared. Waited over an hour for a simple car wash. You shouldn't have to wait that long at 3:30pm. On a weekend? Yes that's reasonable. And the wash was a disappointment. Windows are very streaky. Multiple places that were not washed. They seemed way understaffed. $13.95 for a no-frills car wash. They are the highest-cost car wash in Camarillo. Go to Las Posas or Adolfo places instead. Ever get your car washed and have it come out worse? This was close, but not 100%. Most of the exterior dirt was removed, and I specifically asked them only to do the exterior. They put a laminated sign on the dash saying exterior only. Unfortunately, the guy had a need to crawl in and wipe things down causing the inside to smell like a combination of sour towels and sweat. This gas station is conveniently located right off the Lewis exit heading north towards ventura on the 101. The prices are comparable to other gas stations in camarillo. Aside from the necessary gas fill up once a week, this station offers a full service car was and a full store of snacks, drinks, and convenience items. The people are always friendly and the gas station is well lit for a nice, safe stop when passing through town at night. I went for a car wash on August 13, 2018 and Instead got a whole bunch of trouble. The windows were all smeared, the dashboard were all dusty, and my door panels were wet and dirty. I had to clean it once I got home. They also broke my umbrella and stole money from my car. I had about 8 dollars of quarters and I noticed it was gone once I drove home. When drove back to the Chevron car wash to confront the manager, they just offered another car wash and a different person to dry my car. I was in hurry so I refused but the manager took my name and number to correct the problem but never heard from them and it is now August 18. I will never take my car there again and will be letting everyone I know that they do not care about their customers.
