No I didn't give this station 5 stars. But the gas prices are not their fault. The prices inside the market are outrageous!! They do have a Subway inside. Didn't get a sandwich but that's a cool feature. Nevertheless that's not why I visited today. Convenience was what enticed my visit. This station right off the Dawson offramp 101 south off the freeway . A discount on the gallon is offered if you get a car wash. So I complied. $16.99 for the lowest level wash & you get to vacuum your car out pre wash. I prefer to do this as I find so many Gems in this process. They even have an air compressor to blow out those tiny spots before you vacuum. That was a bonus for me. Leave the keys in the car and they take it from there. Hand washed and then they run it through the rinse cycle. Hand dried and windows cleaned. It was good for the price. I will go back and see what a more expensive wash gets me. read more

The guys at the car wash turned their sign from open to close when I pulled up to talk to someone. We pulled up at 3:15 looking for an exterior wash only, they close at 4 and they turned us away without even acknowledging us or speaking one word. Dawson is my go to spot to get my car washed locally. It comes down to the quality of the wash they do on my car at the end of the day. For $25 my car always leaves here looking sparkly clean. Their attention to detail is much appreciated and they never miss a beat with finding every little crumb and getting every streak on the exterior off. The ladies working the registers are also always very nice. They ring you up with a smile on their face and I can tell they appreciate your business. They have plenty of seating which I appreciate too. Inside and outside seats. Some spots in the sun or back in the shade, whichever you need. I've heard a lot of people grab a bite to eat from their little interior made fresh to go counter, but I don't typically eat while waiting for my car. I've heard enough good things though that if your hungry it's worth it. Kill two birds with one stone. My car usually takes about 45 minutes to get done and I'm always happy when I leave as my car looks good as new. read more

On the one hand, this place has darn near everything. It's one of the easiest on and off the freeway you're ever going to find. The bathrooms are always very clean. It's large. The employees are very nice. The waiting room is rather lovely. You can get your car washed or an oil change. They have a lot of quick food options. That being said, it's some of the most expensive gas in Camarillo. It's "wait, how much?!" expensive. read more

I go here normally during the week when its slower but I needed a Sunday clean for a Monday morning trip. There was a lot of people here both getting gas and getting a wash. The package I bought includes a complete vacuum of the inside but the only accessible areas in my car are the front floors. the guy did the drivers side and walked away I called him back and said how about the pass side? he said oh, OK, and came back over to complete it. It only took about 20 mins start to finish. The finish/dryer guy did a great job cleaning the jambs and the glass and dressed the tires too. So the lesson here is; A. get gas here the wash is cheaper B. get the wash during the week as it too is cheaper then. Car looks great nice and clean for another week of travel. read more

For me this place was just fine. Respectful of Covid protocols. Busy but I say to wait outside. They did a very god job esp at places that are harder like the wheels and such. I left with a very clean car that didn't have any dirty parts inside or out. Even the sand is gone. Inside windows clean. Will be back!! read more

I've been driving up and down the 101 for years and never stopped here before. But now I'm going to make this an official rest stop/gas station/lunch & lounge on my trips. Super convenient when you are traveling south, they are at the end of the off and on ramps. And there is a Subway shop inside. There's a nice big ladies room and tons of stuff to buy from food and drinks to beach stuff. There is a car wash and and a car detail shop, which I haven't used as of yet, but there is a covered outdoor lounge with upholstered patio furniture so you can wait in comfort for your car or eat your lunch there. It's also a huge lot, plenty of room to maneuver or park a big RV or bus. It seems like it should be a busier roadside stop but maybe the signage needs to be taller or bigger. I can't remember what the signs looked like right at this moment. Regardless I really liked this stop. As much as one can like a roadside stop. read more

So I personally went here today on my lunch break to get a car wash. It actually wasn't the first time, and honestly I was quite pleased with the quality of the car wash. Honestly for 95% of the time, my truck is filthy. I get a car wash about every other time I get a haircut. And I definitely put off getting haircuts. So after any sort of car wash it's a definite improvement in appearance. Nonetheless, I could tell that despite my few-and-far-between car washes, that this was high quality. My truck was gleaming. My interior was spick and span and smelled like a pleasingly vanilla-scented stationery and greeting card boutique. My tires, mud guards, and steps were nicely dressed and factory black. So why the three stars? Obviously when you get a car wash it's supposed to be really good. There's no use paying for it otherwise. My gripes come not only from the fact that it's moderately on the expensive end (seventeen bucks for their mid-grade service, plus tip), but more importantly they deceivingly LAG. When I went in line, it looked like I was second in line, so I thought that I could get in and out in less than half an hour. Turns out my truck came out for drying seven cars later in queue. My half hour lunch easily turned into 70 minutes of burrito-eating, gum chewing, and toe tapping. Not to mention looking at my cell phone to check the time every 10 minutes more I needed to stay over at work. I work on wage, Dawson Carwash! Hurry it up. That being said, there is no clear cut rule as to when the best time is to get your car washed. They're busy all day. And you might get a good experience and you might not. Either way, your car should come out cleaner than when it had started. So that's the silver lining. read more

I used the self service car wash for $9.99 for the first time today. My dissatisfaction was with the equipment. Normally most self service push through the wash up to the drying blowers, and you can inch out slowly through this stage. This equipment pushes you through the entire process. This resulted leaving water drops on the car. I suggest you bring a drying rag with you before you wash your car there. read more

I usually go here for truck and never had issues. However I went today and the guy (I've never seen before) asked me what I wanted, I said just exterior don't worry about the inside. He tells me that it's going to be $29 for a basic inside outside cleaning. ( I drive a four door silverado) I said usually I just do the $12 wash and they add an extra $3 for size. He says no they don't do that anymore because they just upgraded their equipment. Ummm okay? So I said I never had this issue before, but that fine I'll just go somewhere else. Dawson 76 Carwash is the best in town. Once you pull up to the entrance you can leave you keys and chose a fragrance from the list. My personal favorite is cherry. After the wash they clean the inside of your car which take up to about 20-30 minutes. Great service. They also have a subway and burrito place indoors. This is our new car wash spot. We live in Thousand Oaks and went to Red Carpet Car Wash for years but there are major problems with the management and policies there, so we have decided to find a new car wash. We have tried a few and so far this is the best. Worth a drive up and down the grade! I have a black car and they do a fabulous job of washing it, and the guys who dry the cars really take their time and the car leaves there looking brand new! Nooks and crannies cleaned out, all the windows are spotless in and out. Yes, it takes a while for them to do the cars, but its so worth the wait! If you go during the week in the morning you save $5. I work and cant go in the morning, but even at full price its a great wash! read more

I've been coming to this car wash for years because they do a good job. The last few times it's been slow, but today was the worst. I drove up and Victor was talking to his co -worker not about work, how do I know this because I understand Spanish. I was acknowledged but I had to wait until he finished his storyline. Best car wash/oil change place ever. The nicest people work there, and my car has never been cleaner. They even make my old rims shine, I don't know how. Great price for an oil change/wash combo. I never go anywhere else. I recently moved to Newbury Park and I still drive down the grade to go to them. Highly reccomend it. read more

I been working next to this gas station for over a year. I got to say it is the most over priced gas station in camarillo .. and the clerks are rude me and my coworkers will usually drive the extra mile to avoid going to this 76 station. there food is not fresh they store there rice in a bin after being cooked some of there products are outdated i saw a bag of turkey jerky that turned white and had mold on it .. the only thing that is priced right is subway .. they have 99cent bottles of ginger ale that say 99 cents but still end up paying 2$ i would watch the food you buy from there i think health inspection should pay a visit .. when anyone goes be advised you will be paying amusement park prices ... trust me read more

Gas station/car wash is fine but I got a sandwich from their new subway and my sister and I both got severe food poisoning from it. It's the only thing we ate all day so we know we got it from there. I would avoid this place like the plague. I went in to get my car washed and upon taking the keys noted that the plastic panel in front of the drive side seat had been ripped off. They are taking no responsibility for their negligence. Talk about a rip off! read more
