Million Salt Eggs, pork congee with spring onions
Connie L.

I ordered from them because the other Cheung Hing whom I am a loyal fan closed early on Sunday. They are solid Cantonese eatery with dim sum and various Canton dishes. They open late into the evening. I think I ordered around 7ish PM. I like that they are the same owner from Cheung Hing in Richmond District, which in itself is a quality assurance. They are centrally located on Noriega in Sunset. Price was reasonable considering that they are restaurant like with dim sums, bbq items and Canton popular dishes. I would try them again in the near future.

Cheung Hing recently opened after replacing the longtime Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant. We asked one of the staff and they confirmed being related to Cheung Hing on Geary Blvd (old Mayflower Restaurant). We've eaten at that location before and found the dim sum here to be significantly better. We had a Sunday 10am reservation for a party of 10 and were seated promptly. The place was almost full, which is always a good sign. We ordered the standard yum cha items; everything came out relatively quick and was mostly hot. The soy sauce chow mein and yang zhou fried rice were good. The green onion pancakes were a bit dry, the Chinese donut rice noodle roll was a bit soggy, and the congee was a tad bland. The service was friendly and attentive. All in all, we enjoyed the food and will return. Just don't get me started on parking...

Although there's been some mixed reviews, I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Service is friendly, quick and the price is so reasonable. It's a big restaurant in the Sunset but it's packed. We ordered the turnip cakes, har gow, su mai, chicken feet, shrimp in noodle roll, and beef chow fun. The har gow and su mai had lots of shrimps in them. The flavors were very good. My family has been coming for lunch once a week since they opened. There's always a wait at least 30 min so it's a good idea to go on off peak times. We haven't tried dinner there yet but we will eventually. Is this the best dim sum in SF? No. But it's definitely very good for the price and value. Glad Noriega Street has a new place for dim sum again!

The Sunset finally has an all day dim sum place. Cheung Hing just opened recently at the old dim sum place on Noriega. They currently are at the soft opening phase. I came around 2 pm today and I was able to get a table within 10 mins. And I noticed that the menu is much different than their other location in Daly City (CH Imperial Palace). There the order of my favorite to least favorite -Deep fried pork dumpling -Stuffed bean cured roll -Steamed Beef ball with bean curd skin -house special pan fried noodles --beef rice noodle -siu mai -pan fried taro cake To be honest, I was disappointed in the food. The steamed beef balls didn't have much bean curd. The beef rice noodles were so mushy, the siu Mai was kind of tough, the pan fried taro cake was hard and dry . We were also disappointed with the combination pan fried noodles as it didn't have much sauce at all. Bought it home to add more sauce to it . I can't say I'll be back but I know it's a soft opening and they are probably working out the kinks.

Noticed S&T was replaced by Cheung Hing and this appears to be the direct extension of the Geary Blvd and 27th Ave location and some familiar faces from C.H. Imperial Garden at King Plaza in Daly City that opened a few months ago also work here. There's no connection to the Chinese BBQ across the street of Safeway, that restaurant was apparently sold a while back and the operations consolidated at Millbrae on El Camino Real. I ordered their Spare Ribs, Siu Mai, Ha Gow, Beef Rice Roll, and Hokkien Fried Rice. Items all tasted solid and dim sum portions were good for price charged. When I walked in, I was surprised to see the same owner from the Geary Blvd location running the entire restaurant from taking orders, running the register, refilling tea, butchering BBQ items, and bussing tables by himself. This guy was literally hustling during our entire meal. I don't think they were necessarily short staffed, but I did come at an odd hour in the afternoon during the shift change. The food and service was definitely an improvement from S&T, there's definitely some relationship between the Cheung Hing restaurants and C.H. Imperial Garden, as they all share the same branding on the menus, plates, and tea cups. It's also the same group of staff rotating and working these restaurants.

Their claypot rice is just steamed rice put in a clay pot, there's no crispy rice at all, it's not real claypot rice. The pan fried string beans has rotten string beans, and the fried rice was bitter due to it being burnt. Will not come back again.

Cheung Hing's new Noriega location brings the same old-school Cantonese spirit to the Sunset. The roast pork, BBQ pork, and roast duck are comforting, traditional, and perfect with rice. Nothing fancy--just solid Cantonese food at a reasonable price. Though it's new, the restaurant already feels like a neighborhood staple, with families, longtime Cantonese customers, takeout orders, and regulars stopping in. It has that classic San Francisco Chinese restaurant atmosphere that's getting harder to find. Worth checking out if you're around Noriega and craving straightforward Cantonese comfort food without spending a ton.

Beef Cube w/ Teriyaki Sauce {8/4/2026}

This is a new dim sum restaurant for lunch and Chinese restaurant for dinner. The restaurant had its soft opening on 7/31/2026, and this was our first visit on 8/4/2026. We arrived at the restaurant around 7pm, and the place was packed with people. We ordered the West Lake Beef Soup, Pumpkin with Egg Yolk, Barbecue Combination Platter (BBQ Pork, Roasted Pork, and Soy Chicken), Beef Cubes with Teriyaki Sauce, Honey Walnut Prawns, Fook Kin Fried Rice, and House Combination Chow Mein. The beef cubes with teriyaki sauce were tender and easy to chew. The pumpkin with egg yolk wasn't my favorite because it was too bland and tasteless. The Fook Kin Fried Rice and House Combination Chow Mein didn't have much protein. The small pieces mixed into the dishes were so tiny that I couldn't even tell whether they were meat or seafood. The service was just okay. They gave us spoons for the chow mein, which wasn't very practical. Our teapot became empty, and we placed the lid upright to signal that we needed a refill, but no one noticed. We eventually had to get a waiter's attention to refill the teapot. There are so many restaurants along Noriega Street between 31st and 33rd Avenues, so it's nice to see another dining option in the neighborhood. Since the restaurant had just opened, it may simply need more time to improve, from the food to the service. I hope it continues to improve as it settles in after its soft opening.

We went again for lunch today. It was quite busy due to Labor Day holiday, waited for about half hour to be seated.

Restaurant was not opened at 9am and we waited until 10am before leaving. Wasted our time waiting for nothing.

The event going off without a hitch was really important, especially because the bride had lost her mom and didn't have her to celebrate this special milestone. I wanted to make sure the order was on time and there were no issues with delivery. I ended up canceling my original order because DoorDash wasn't going to confirm a dasher until the day of the delivery. I re-ordered through DoorDash but this time as a pick up. Again, DoorDash's service was leaving me unsure because they weren't going to send the order through until the pick up day. This was $500 worth of dim sum and I didn't want to take a chance the restaurant didn't receive the order or that they couldn't fulfill it in time. So, I canceled that order as well. I called the restaurant directly. They took my order without hesitation and made me feel at ease that everything will be ready on time. I called again in the morning to confirm my order before leaving for pick up. I couldn't get a hold of anyone, most likely they were busy with their Sunday rush, but they called me back even without me leaving a message! When I arrived my order was ready, The food was hot, packaged so nicely, and everything was clearly prepared with care. I was helped by a very nice staff member who made us feel like we were longtime customers. My daughter and her friends absolutely loved the food! Thank you so much, Dumpling House. In fact, the quality of it was very authentic and was on par with other places in more Chinese-centric neighborhoods. Just one star less because it's slightly pricier (probably the fault of rent in the neighborhood). I also don't like it when the tables are too close to each other and when restaurants are too loud. There was no outdoor seating, unfortunately. Service was good.

Naturally, I thought the same would be for this location, ordering for delivery. Sadly, I was proved very very wrong. I got a total of 3 items and paid a little over $50 not including tip.First plate, stir fry noodle Shanghai style 0/5. Noodles were stiff, entire plate lacked flavor, it was really dry. The cabbage was just sort of thrown in there and to my surprise, there was chicken (I didn't think it came with meat) and it was so suspicious, one bite and I immediately had to spit it out. It was chewy and tasted uncooked. I began to lose my appetite... Sesame Chicken 0/5 - it was all batter, little to NO meat inside whatsoever. Saucy but it was very clumpy. I was so disappointed with this one. It was literally just eating fried batter in sesame sauce with sesame seeds thrown on top. Braised String Beans - 2.5/5. They were fine, flavored enough with the grilled onions and garlic other than that, not impressive at all. I had really high hopes for this place/order. I had been craving Chinese food for so long and was going to order from my typical place but decided to give this one a try. I definitely should have stuck to what I know would have hit the spot. An absolute waste of $50, so frustrating.

Heads up that this is mostly a takeaway spot and they only have 1-2 small tables. The siu mai was fairly big and I liked that the order came with a bunch of sauces- chili oil, soy sauce, and a hot sauce. As a big sauce fan, I appreciated the selection! The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
