I was assured that I would receive a credit for an over charge and incorrect order for my prescription glasses. I am pretty sure they never went back to the insurance company to refund them the money. All of the people working there with the exception of one are just not nice people. They don't want to be helpful or take responsibility. I had asked that Dr Roffis reach out to me and explain what happened and to apologize for what happened. (There are too many things to even list here.) I am still waiting for that call. If I can prevent one person having to go through the horrible experiences that I have gone through, this will be worth it. Find another practice!

We had to schedule an eye exam for my mom, who has Alzheimer's, as she's lost her glasses and we've been unable to refill them on a pretty old prescription. All of the employees and Dr. Bennett were so pleasant, patient and caring in dealing with us! It can be very difficult finding providers who are caring and patient, but I was blown away by how easy they made it and the care they showed my mom.

The staff was friendly and Dr. Aslop was awesome and very competent, but even after purchasing the $55 Groupon I was out $284 for a total of $339. It was supposed to include an eye exam and $125 toward a pair of frames. Okay, I can pay for the lenses. Those normally aren't too bad. I was charged $50/lense then $75 for anti-glare and another $25 for installation. I was given a $125 credit for a pair of $209 frames. That's where the $84 came from. My recommendation would be go to Sam's or Walmart then send your prescription to Warby Parker. You can get frames and lenses for $95 from Warby Parker which includes anti-reflective prescription lenses, anti-scratch, free shipping and 30-day return. You should be able to get an eye exam and stylish glasses for about $200. Lesson learned.

I've loved being a patient at Grove Eye Care. You know how everyone has a doctor visit they're kind…read moreof afraid of? Eye doctors used to be that for me, but after my experience with Grove Eye Care, I feel much more confident and relaxed. I had my first visit back in 2023. I was looking to start wearing contacts and to get a new glasses prescription. Booking an appointment was easy. My first visit is a bit of a blur since it's been over a year, but I did have main takeaways. Whoever it was that guided me in how to put on contacts was the kindest and most encouraging person I've met. In my experience, a lot of eye doctor visits have involved inpatient people (I can understand because I would feel inpatient hearing the same six letters over and over again). I did not feel this way with my contact teacher. She was there to support me and made me feel welcome. I highly recommend getting contacts here. The contact experience involves getting the right prescription for you with a doctor, learning how to put them on, getting trials for a week, then returning to see if you'd like to order them. I have VSP which helped with the cost and have enjoyed the Bausch and Lomb Infuse 1-Day contacts. As for eye exams themselves, on an annual check-up this week, I did have a more impatient examiner, who didn't really explain all the machines to me which I didn't mind as much because I felt more confident, but had wished she told me when bright lights were flashing. They have a machine you can pay extra for so you don't need to get your eyes dilated which is nice. My first examiner in 2023 did explain everything. I think you just need to ask. My doctor is Dr. Schwartz. She helped me with my contact journey as well as treating headaches and dry eyes. She's very direct and to the point and can answer any questions you may have. I've enjoyed having her as my doctor. During my visit this week, I explored possibly purchasing new glasses/lenses at the shop section. It was a bit out of my price range, but do know you can get your prescription for free and if you need the distance of your eyes it's a $10 charge. If you're feeling uneasy about eye doctors, this is a great place to feel more confident and comfortable with them. The parking is easy here with a lot out front. It's near Carytown. And there is a gender neutral single stall for bathrooms. I highly recommend.

Everyone is so kind here, and my appointments go super quick without feeling rushed. (No waiting on…read morethe doctor for ages!) I appreciate how the doctor shows you the scans of your eyes and explains the different things he's looking for and why. Have been seeing Dr. Levy for years but he recently retired. Wow, I made an excellent choice. It's a husband and wife and the wife was who I saw. I have all kinds of eye issues so I normally prefer a ophthalmologist. This is too bad, honestly, because it's a place absolutely dedicated to the best possible experience and the best possible fit for you and your eyes. They're very flexible and very familial, and dedicated to up-to-date technology and hand-crafted accuracy. I also deeply appreciate that they've always had good advice for me on how to afford something I -like-. I've never been upsold on anything, unlike larger commercial places, but I've never been sold anything that felt like a compromise either. It pays to note I am an inherited customer from my long-time optometrist [a dear man who kept careful notes so he could cheerfully ask me how life had gone since I saw him last]. It is a testament to the skill and warmth of Doctors Lindsay and Kurt Jung that I have not suffered the least hiccough or disappointment from the transition when he retired. As long as this office is open and I am within 200 miles of it, I will continue to come here, happily driving from out of town for the experience [which I am doing currently].
