I've gone 5 times to get my nails done here and The first couple times they have done my nails nice with an exception of a couple times that seemed a bit rushed . My last visit unfortunately wasn't great and I had overlooked certain things as it is . First I would like to say I am a strong advocate for the elderly people and I love them . However, I do feel like in a business they shouldn't have someone too elderly doing pedicures . Each time I've gone I have just felt bad and never request or complain about anything it's just a bit unfair that they put an elderly lady to do pedicures who is just not fit to do that . It seems she doesn't want to do it and it shows as well as of course it resulting with me paying money for bare minimum just to keep peace. Now I've been here 5x and that gives a fair chance to get to know how things are . The owner who sits at the front did my nails once and the next couple days my nails were chipping apart . The only person who had done my nails perfect is the second guy who sits closest to the sink . My last visit was on Tuesday and two of my nails broke the following day and continued to chip every day . I spent $80 there each time i go to kind of feel like I'm stepping on egg shells just to receive decent service . I ask for advice on things with their color selection for dipping problem and they just get bothered by it . The reason why my nails are now the way they are is improper technique and rushing to finish . I get dipping powder and then gel on top which would make you think it would be secure and sturdy unfortunately not . I just wish places would be a bit more kinder with people who go i there with respect like myself and who's extremely understanding. Yet instead they kind of are just worried about how much more money they can make .. that's fine if quality is placed first . On to finding another place ! read more

This is truly a five star establishment. Very clean (especially during COVID) and the prices are reasonable. These nail techs are really friendly/polite which you don't find that often at a nail salon. I have gotten a multitude of different services done here and they have yet to disappoint me; from gel mani pedis to acrylic to waxing to things they've recommended me trying. If I've ever had an issue with anything, I just call, then go back and they fix it without making a stink about it or being rude. I've been coming here for a few months now. I go to Anthony every few weeks and he never fails!! All of the nail techs are very welcoming and professional. I've tried many nail salons in the area but Chester nails is by far the best. I leave pleased every time. I work in an animal hospital and even with dogs biting at my nails they hold up for a few weeks!!! I do recommend making an appointment as there schedules get booked and some days it's hard to squeeze in walk ins. I totally recommend chester nails!! read more

I love the owner and his wife , lovely people , however they do not watch who they hire at all. To be fair the owners take complaints well and take full accountability if they made a mistake , however they only have to do so because of their sloppy hires. Whether it's a great attitude with a below average set, or terrible attitude and decent set, there is no middle ground for manicures. (pedicures are great!) I have only received a satisfactory (beautiful, even) acrylic set from Anthony (the owner). My most recent visit , my nail tech was abrasive , rude, and acted fed up with my inability to contort my hand to her needs, and also added on many hidden fees for no reason , claiming designs "aren't possible" with no gel, which is not true because i have always gotten the same thing going to this salon. Unless you want to leave your $100 "relaxing" spa day feeling nothing but sh*tty and ripped off, i recommend only asking for Anthony or taking your business elsewhere. update , not even two weeks later almost all the nails on one hand are gone , after going on vacation. if you get nails done and have a regular couple of weeks ahead of you , i couldn't imagine how long they would(n't) last. again for over $100, not worth read more

I decided to switch up from my old salon due to the positive comments about this place. Turns out, they were wrong. Getting a fill was way too overpriced. My nails turned out bumpy, scratched up, and partially unfinished. Also, there are little specks under the nail polish that you cannot remove. it looks lazy. I was so excited to try this place just to leave incredibly disappointed due to all the positive comments i've heard about it. This was my first time here and I had a wonderful experience. I made an appt and they took me right on time. They had great cleaning procedures in place due to COVID restrictions. Made me sanitize upon entry and took my temperature. They spaced out the chairs and had plexi glass up for added protection. Aside from all that, they also did a great job on my powder dip nails and spa pedicure. It was a very relaxing experience. The nail technician kept asking if I was happy with my nails and if I liked them. The owner was very customer service driven and thanked me for coming in. Originally I was excited to come here and get my nails done specifically because I inquired about designs. Very specific designs. I was told that there was one person (Loanne) that could do them. I started off booking appointments via Yelp and one day during my appointments, one of the owners, Kelly, told me it's best to text and send design so they know how much time to set aside. Not a problem. That's what I started to do. Loanne also said once I book with the owners, send her the design via text as well. So, I started going to her, showed her pictures and she did an awesome job replicating the photo. Never complained, didn't talk much and always complimented her work. She nailed it each and every time. There were times I showed her options and just told her to pick one. We agreed I would text the picture in advance to ensure she could do the design. No problem. Last design I did with her, she did very well with some feedback I gave her (polish was clumping and I asked for some circles to be bigger) but nonetheless I always love my nails. Apparently providing feedback is a no-no, so I was told she would no longer be able to do my nails. When I reached out to the owners, they doubled down and refused service. See photos for text interaction. It's sad it has come to this but this is not how you treat customers. I really thought I found a place that was relaxing and welcoming. Instead of just giving me feedback and saying "Hey I can't replicate certain designs you send I may have to alter it" I get kicked to the curb. No conversation, nothing. Im from states away and needed my nails done for the 4th of July. Saw this place had good reviews and saw a pic of nails i loved. Guy who did my nails was rude and not listening to what I wanted, when I told him I didn't want my dip/acrylic too thick, he did them so thin you can see the line of my actual nail right through. I didn't like that look and because my nails were growing out I knew they'd break shortly after getting them done. I told him they were toooooo thin and he got upset and rushed to reapply more on each nail, I left the salon with product all down my finger that looked like dried glue and was a pain to get off. I wanted a design originally but just left with plain nails because he couldn't be bothered. Only giving two starts because they had the perfect nude color for my skin tone. read more

I have been using Kelly for over 4 years since she was in Middletown. I am extremely happy for her that she has opened her own nail salon in Chester! I do not mind driving 20 minutes each way to continue to have beautiful nails, toes and eyebrows. Kelly also does a fantastic job doing Brazilian bikini waxes! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet in your lifetime. Her husband Anthony is awesome too. Her staff is very friendly and always welcoming.
