The quality of the work was poor. A man did my pedicure and manicure. The French gel manicure looked like a beginner did it. There was gel paint on the dudes of the nail attached to the skin. After a couple days you could clearly see the separation. 3 of my toes had chipped paint. They were also expensive. No menu of prices were listed. read more

Very disappointing staff! i walked in (which i was told i could) and the lady told me i needed to wait which i was okay with. Then she proceeded to argue with me telling me i should have been here earlier but i specifically asked "do i need an appointment" and i was told no. I get there and im arguing because she decided to tell the whole salon i called and came too late! again i asked should i make an appointment and was told no. They need to work on treating customers with respect if they want business. read more

I would like to say they're welcoming to all but that is not the case. An older woman with glasses seemingly had an issue since I walked in. I ended up getting a pedicure serviced by another woman which was fine but after I decided to get a manicure aswell. The price stated that it was 32$ for a classic pedicure and below there was a 10 & 12$ option for other callus removing options which I didn't want . After deciding I wanted the gel builder, the older woman came back and said that it would be $112 and I said well how much was the pedicure and manicure? She said the classic manicure was $47 because I got gel polish. No where was it advertised whether it would be gel or regular polished would be used and they just gave me nail colored options and told me to pick. I expressed this to her that what she's saying isn't making sense because if it was an extra charge it should be written as such on the price menu. She then got up and said okay fine but I will not service you anymore. At that point I didn't feel comfortable anyway so I paid $32 and proceeded to leave. I'm not sure what was her issue, any nail salon has their prices and have them recorded as such where the customer can see and decide if it's something they want to add and from what I was getting from her vibe is that she simply didn't want service me and wanted me to pay extra because she maybe assumed I wouldn't tip at the end or something. Ultimately it doesn't seem like they treat everyone like this as this area is far upstate where they seem more use to seeing familiar faces and I saw the way they treated other consumers extremely differently. Go at you please and if you feel that they're going to try to hustle you I would leave before the service started and go somewhere where you can be respected. read more

I went to go treat myself to a mani & pedi and left this place in TEARS after a full blown argument. My first time here- there were 2 customers in the entire salon and an ENTIRE GROUP of employees argued 5 on 1 with BOTH OF US! I felt so bamboozled and pressured, I should have walked out. When I arrived I asked for dip- halfway through the mani they tried to give me acrylics, refused to do just gel and that's when my argument ensued (after their argument with the other customer! lol!) They tried saying I would owe $70 just for the manicure. I asked if I could leave and I would finish painting my own nails at home!!! At one point I said "you know what, this is my first time here and I am feeling very overwhelmed. this is supposed to be a relaxing experience" Then they tried to charge me $10 extra for this design, I told them I would just do it myself when I got home. I have gotten way more complicated designs elsewhere free of charge. To try to repair what they had done (after the argument they saw me visibly upset trying to hold back tears) they said they would "do it on the house" LOL This place is awful, I'm so shocked that a group of employees would try to intimidate and pressure their customers!!! The best in OCNY! Dawn and her team always do a great job. My mom has been going to them for years for her fills. Recently I moved back to the area and didn't question going to Dawn. My nails always look great, she is quick and efficient, and the salon is so clean. I have had several pedicures as well and I am always satified. Back in May I started getting eyelash extensions and I am completely obessed with them. I get compliments all the time and have not had to put on any makeup since getting them done. I went here for eyelash extensions. I've been getting extensions for five years and know my way around the process and what is proper. I asked for size 13 C curl extra volume. They have an amazing policy that allows you to return I believe in 3/4 days if your gel polish somehow gets chipped they will fix it free or charge. I am from Jersey and came here with my sister. I LOVE my salon in Jersey. They are clean and the woman are so sweet and take their time with you. When I get a gel mani and pedi it's AT LEAST 2 hours!! This place AWFUL!!! We had appointments at 9. I was getting a polish change on my toes and a gel mani. We walked in and a few others walked in behind us with NO appointments. I was asked to sit, but hadn't picked my color yet. Took them 5 minutes to figure out who was going to change the color on my toes!! Fine no big deal. After she filed and did what she needed to do I asked for help picking a color. Wanted a light pink. She brought me one color. I got up and said I would look for my own. I needed a minute to pick it. Well she proceeded to tell me I needed to hurry up because she had another appointment coming. Well tooo bad I have an appointment as well!! Toes finally done and now it's time for my nails. Well I hadn't had my nails done in 3 weeks so I expected a good mani. It was AWFUL!!! Barely did my cuticles, the paint job was awful, and just an overall bad experience at this place!! I will never come back, and neither will my sisters!! I recently went for a pedicure and the salon was very busy. My pedicure was not done by a licensed, certified nail technician. I had a feeling something wasn't right. But decided to have her continue my pedicure. When my pedicure was completed, I went to look at the certified licenses and photos of employees on the wall. My technician wasn't on the wall. I spoke privately to the owner and asked her who was my nail tech and wanted to see her certification/license. The owner told me it was her daughter helping. Not certified. I also saw other customers that must have had her previously giving her tips. So, she did services for other customers. I was very upset. This is definitely no way to run a business. I contacted the NYS license board and reported this incident. I am not trying to ruin the business, but what is right is right. It is not fair to all the certified and licensed nail techs that took the proper training, hours, testing, and money to get licensed. read more

So popped into this salon for a quick gel manicure. First time there. The staff were friendly but that's where it ended. When the nail technician began to push back my cuticles she pushed the device all the way into my nail bed causing me to bleed. We struggled to get it to stop so she called over the owner who proceeded to put some green liquid on my finger...then she moved on to glue. I stated that I didn't want my skin or cut glued shut and she said she was applying to my nail. She then abruptly gave me another nail tech. Telling me she was so sorry and that tech #1 has been with her for 8yrs and is very good. Nail tech #2 trying to do damage control while owner is telling me #2 is great too...which she proceeded to show me by applying the polish unevenly on some nails and then when applying top coat to all my nails, she didn't even cover the entire nail. Needless to say I should have left when she drew blood but I was trying to be optimistic. They handed me a $35GC and smiled. I paid $35 plus tip (I was told they discounted it) and all I have to show for it is damaged finger, bumpy uneven nail polish, and polish chipping off...in less than 1 week.
