Please do not bother to deny it because I have witnessed it myself. While having my hair done I have been pleaded with by your staff not to speak Spanish which is the 2nd most spoken language of the United States of America. It was clear that your employee was intimidated and proceeded to translate what was being said. I was concerned that she would be disciplined so I granted the employees request. I spotted this location while sitting in my car, in the parking lot next door. I thought we should check it out and see if there was a hairstylist or barber there that would be understanding of someone with special needs, so we went inside. Everyone was so nice, including the customers. We were greeted warmly and everyone inside was so kind and understanding of my brother, even when he started to get anxious. One of the hairstylists there introduced us to Henry the Barber who then cheerfully greeted us and took on the task of working with my brother. He was so kind, patient and understanding of my brother that my brother even gave him a hug at the end! He did an awesome job and was great to work with. We left completely satisfied and relieved he finally got a haircut. Henry is great! We have a new barber now.

For instance, I wanted a red highlight, the one I picked, she showed me next to my skin on my face & explained because of my olive coloring, it wouldn't look good, instead showed me another red that totally brightened up my face. Other stylists would've just done it. Also, when I changed my mind, though it looked fine, I didn't like it after seeing it in pictures (I thought it would look great, others complimented me) she changed it, no cost. Annie, who's done my mom's hair for a decade I believe is the sweetest person ever! Definately the kindest person there. The receptionist, while lovely, was very forceful about trying the Voesh Body Lotion on the desk while I waited for my stylist, even after I said "no thanks, I just applied my own". She then wanted me to try Amika hair & body mist- which I already own and didn't want any more on. I get it's part of their position, but it becomes uncomfortable when I'm repeating myself saying "No" five different ways. The front reception area (right when you walk in- first area you see) & to the left where the TV / product wall is was very dusty, faded photos and advertisements taped to the desk, it just didn't look kept up. (It was enough that I noticed, looked around to see other employees at their stations on their phones and wondered if that was acceptable to do when the salon isn't clean) The stylist at the first station on the left gave me a really nasty look when I walked in and sat down, and brought that up to my stylist because it just seemed...weird. As for my hair, Annie absolutely nailed it. Being it was my first visit with her after looking for a new stylist, I wasn't sure how that would go, but being my mom is VERY particular about her hair and it always looks fabulous, I took a shot with her and am going to return next month. I had a full head highlight done, on long hair, with a cut & dry. Annie took her time, but was very efficient, absolutely lovely to talk to, and knows the profession well. She did exactly what I was asking for. I can put the dust, faded taped up photos, nasty looks, and "try me! Pressure" aside for Annie. 100% recommend her. She's a hidden gem in the local area, and she's my new stylist and I'm so happy to know whenever I go to her, I'll come out feeling fabulous!

I've been looking for a new salon and stumbled upon Shear Love. I was looking to have a balayage…read moredone, similar to one I had years ago. I booked an appointment online for a full balayage/ long hair and was quoted a price. My stylist, Carly, reached out to request a photo of my hair so that she was prepared and moved up my appointment an hour earlier to ensure we had enough time. I also provided a photo of the look I had done previously so she'd know exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived, I was greeted by Carly and she was super friendly. The salon looks like a house on the outside but the inside was transformed. The interior is super cute. It's well kept, bright and stylish. The other stylists were so friendly and welcoming. Before the magic began, Carly advised me that my service would actually end up being around $150 more than I was quoted due to the length of hair I have and the product needed. This was definitely disappointing. I expected a variance but not something so drastic, as I booked the service for long hair to begin with. I opted for the partial balayage and it was still more than quoted and over my anticipated budget. That was the only disappointment I had. Other than that, Carly was very professional and she did beautiful work. My hair was the exact shade I was looking for. It was very natural looking. Carly provided information on when to have my look touched up and sent me home with samples of their amazing smelling shampoo and conditioner. Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome. I'd recommend Carly. She did a great job and was fun to talk to!
