It's been over an hour and thirty minutes waiting for one nail to be fixed! One woman started taking off the polish and then left me to attend to another customer. I'm still waiting. In between customers is when someone else tends to my broken nail. Just now someone else filled the broken portion to then leave me again to deal with her customer. Now she's back to file down the nail. Let's see how long it'll take to get color put on! Mind you, it hasn't been a week and why is this my third broken nail? And the prior customer came in with the same complaint!. But NOW she wants to remove the entire acrylic and redo it. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!! read more

This place is okay. They did a fine job with my nails. The pricing is good, expected for the area. I got a gel mani, reg pedi and eyebrows. I really liked my eyebrows and the lady who did them seemed friendly for the few minutes I was with her. What I find a little bit odd and borderline uncomfortable is how silent it is in there. You don't have the typical chatter of nail salons which people may appreciate but this stood out to me. I also found it slightly challenging that the lady doing my nails didn't seem to speak any English. She didn't understand any of my questions and kept looking to the other staff. She was about to cut my cuticles which I never get done so I said excuse me a couple times. Mind you, it's silent in there, there's no way she couldn't hear me. So I pulled my hands away and asked her not to cut them. I don't expect a lot at all but in the least an acknowledgement would suffice. I hate to sound high maintenance and it's not a bad place at all. Not as friendly as I'm used to I suppose. I may try another spot before deciding to come back here again. read more

The girl the the huge scar on her face was very disgusting. I feel as if she was purposely stabbing we while doing my pedicure. I made her aware that she was hurting me & she smirked. terrible customer service skills and they make up whatever price they feel like. went there for a fill and was charged $63 dollars because 2 nails fell off and my nails where long enough so she didnt even put a tip on it. got basic square gel acrylics. the woman also asked me to leave her a bigger tip. on there price board it says fill $37 and a full set is $43 so i don't know how she got $63. guess she wanted to pocket the other money because i heard the owners where away on vacation. she cut 2 fingers and the one is infected now. within a day one of the nails she did already chipped at the top. i didn't even go back because i could only imagine what they would charge for that. also saw someone get a pedicure and they do not clean the tubs after a person uses it and they don't use the plastic liner in the tub. while getting my nails done someone came in to get there eyebrows done and she left me sitting at the table for 25 minutes while she did this persons eyebrows. I will never go back there I've tried this place a few times and it seems like it gets worse and worse everytime. Save your self the trouble of an infection and go somewhere else. read more

I went in twice in a row in 8/17 to let them know that after 3 days my acrylic chipped off as did the gel polish and this has never happened....she yelled at me in front of about 10 or more people (its a friday, its usually not so busy) and said its my fault etc. I was so polite, I was just letting her know. There are so many nail salons in Middletown, NY and I've tried about 5 during the past year (moved to the area July 2013). Throughout each of my nail care experiences, I have been severely disappointed, thought it was ok service but the place was rundown, have had to deal with overcrowded and very rushed service just to name a few. I have to say, I really like this one. Select nail opened up recently but this is my second visit. Both times the staff has been friendly, professional, and they do fantastic work. I was really surprised to see the disparity between the high ratings and the actual spa when I visited last week. The prices were good, but this place is probably the second dirtiest nail salon I've experienced. There is acrylic dust everywhere and I didn't see where the tools used on my hands came from; I also didn't see an autoclave anywhere. There was no ventilation and the whole place smelled overwhelmingly of acrylic. I had a gel manicure and the first thing the girl did was take a Dremel out to sand down my thumbs. When I asked her not to, she explained that my thumb nails had ridges. I replied that I was aware and that my ridges would not go away simply from sanding, that they would grow back and sanding my thumb nails down would only contribute to my nails splitting when they grew back. She complied, but instead used a buffing tool to do the same thing, used a cuticle pusher along the length of every nail, and filed my nails down, all while they were still wet. All of this leads to splitting, which leads me to believe that the people who work here are not properly qualified. I saw only three nail specialty licenses on the wall, one of which was expired, but there were five or six people working in the salon when I was there. Two stars for good price and pretty good looking manicure, but I would rather pay more to have it done properly and will not be back. read more

I went the day before my trip and that night the nail broke so I went back and asked them to fix it and the owner yelled at me and told me to get out of his store. Absolutely love this salon! Very quiet, staff friendly and little to no wait for a walk in. I walked in and was seated within 2 minutes. The whole service took 1 hr and 40 minutes in which I got my eyebrows waxed, a pedicure with French design and a full set of acrylic tips with French and 2 finger design and gel top coat. The whole thing cost me $59 without tipping. They were through and paid attention to detail. I will definitely return and it's close to my job so it's perfect ! read more

You have to get to the shop before 4 on the weekends or after 5 but before 6 during the week. It seems to be busy as during that time frame. This shop has been here for a little while now and it's very clean. The bathroom is very clean and they do not really have many paper towels or accessories like that so they're very careful about the environment. The end result anytime I've ever gotten a pedicure or a manicure or a fill has always been very good. Although I do not like the way they do pedicures. They're almost like robots and don't really get into long deep conversations with their clientele which I'm fine with but when you get a pedicure you want to be relaxed. They don't soak your feet long enough. The end result is always very pretty and they do a great job overall and their prices are extremely affordable. A fill runs between $14 and $18 for an acrylic fill and they give you a free simple nail design on toenails. At no extra charge! I highly suggest you never get a massage there. Last night I had a 10 minute massage for $13 and it was the longest 10 minutes of my life. I felt like I was being violated and frisked by a police officer not getting a massage. I'm not kidding you it was horrible I was about 7 minutes into it and I just sat up straight and said "okay enough that's it enough". $52 for a pedicure, a miserable massage and a acrylic fill was only $52. Shitty asf, there was this once chinies lady that was so rude, she made me feel uncomfortable the whole entire time. There was Instances where she would even yelled at me in front of other people. She would constantly telling me what I should get for myself not asking me what I would like to get, after I specifically told her what I wanted. Don't even get me started on the prices, they charge you for everything. Just like when I asked her how much was for a set of acrylic, she literally though of what she was going to charge me, when clearly the prices where in the wall. Being that I just moved into town, I was searching for a new nail salon, as I am one who is picky about where I do my nails. I found this gem on here and had good ratings so I gave it a try. I went in in a Saturday as a walk- in and I was happy to see that although there were customers everyone was being attended to, I was greeted quickly. I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure, and it came out fabulous. I chose a hot stone pedicure and I was treated to a leg wrap and a massage. It was heaven! I had read good reviews of the place on here, so I decided to give it a try because I don't have a "regular" nail salon. It was quiet in there, so if that bothers you don't go. It is very clean and nice. They have a good selection of polishes to choose from. I just got a regular manicure, as I don't care much for acrylics and I don't have a lot of money to do a gel manicure. They were able to get to me quickly and do my manicure quickly. Freshly out of this place.... OK, this is the first time that I went to this place after having horrific service at another nail salon that I used to frequent. This place is fabulous!!! , The salon is located in an refurbished old Victorian red brick building next to a convenience store and across the street from a nursing home .There's plenty of parking in the back of the establishment. First impressions, when I entered the salon, I was greeted warmly by the employees. The salon is clean, sanitary, and bright. I had a pedicure, a fill and fixed 3 broken nails. The PEDI was amazing ;) I had a male employee whose name escapes me, but he did a great job and gave me a wonderful foot massage. I had my nails done by a female employee who took her time in making may nails LOOK GOOD, she also gave me a wonderful back and neck massage (something that nail salons use to do back in the day). They don't rush you; they take their time in making sure that your nails are perfect. They do not badger you into getting other services that you don't need. They are professional and extremely organized. Please get there early, I arrived a little over after opening and they already had people getting pedi's done by the time I was done they had people waiting. Their prices are reasonable. I'm so glad I found this place. It's close to home, very clean and not chaotic like other places I've been to. I'm able to just sit and relax while the tech goes about her business not messing with her cellphone or video chatting on the iPad. I got a gel fill with mood color polish for $33. Can't beat that! It used to cost me $45 at another place. I already have my colors and nail art picked out for my next visit. If your lucky you might even get a hand massage and back rub. Last time around, I wasn't so lucky but they had people waiting. It's all good tho. I read a few good reviews about this place and I wanted to give it a try. It looks ok when you walk in, but the things I observed were not that ok. First this lady started with my pedicure, the tub was scratched up the color red was coming off. The water was very hot I couldn't put my feet in it. After a few minutes, I noticed a container that looked like a tupperware which didn't seem that clean. It it were the tools she was going to use on my feet. I asked her if they were sterilized and she said yes. Later, I saw a bucket next to her which had a scotch sponge in it (the ones used to scrub pots and pans), also a nail file and a sponge to scrub feet (which was so thin from being used on so many people). These are items that cannot be sterilized so I asked her to get new ones for me. When she was done with the pedicure, she proceeded with the manicure. When I sat at the mani table, I noticed that she had brought the same tools she had just used on my feet, to use on my hands. I asked her if she had other tools to use for my manicure and she said that she didn't have any more. Needless to say I will never go back or recommend this place to anybody! read more
