These guys are amazing!!! I came in with a non-motorcycle service issue. I needed to replace the donut spare tire on my minivan's donut rim. Automotive tire shops can't work on the narrower tires. Unfortunately they decided not to contact me. I don't know what's the reason, probably not Deaf friendly. Dishonest and rude. I was trying to give them a chance by phone call. I called and relay (interpreter) heard a rude guy, he said "I'm not going deal with him", obviously they aren't Deaf friendly. My community not pleased and they wouldn't doing a business with this store. I spoke with the HQ about this situation and they not pleased how the store treats me. The HQ referred me to other store which is more Deaf friendly. It's all good. So I wouldn't recommend this store. read more

I wanted to order the new Indian pursuit motorcycle . I walked in to the dealership and no sales person came up to me and offered any assistance. After waiting about 15 minutes I walked up to the counter where the sales person was talking on the telephone. I waited about another 10 minutes for him to finish his car he walked away without saying anything to me. I then grab my wife and today we get this place start a walk out the same sales person says have a nice day as we walked out the door I'm never giving these guys are done with my money and I was ready to buy bike today but due to poor customer service I walked out. read more

Was in the market for a new bike and was interested in the Indian brand. Went to this dealership in Annapolis looking to check out the Scout line and met the owner, Mike. He explained everything about the Scouts and let me test ride a used one. For the test ride they let you take it out on your own to get a feel for it instead of someone babysitting you the whole time. Unlike other dealers, this one is very "no pressure" they don't hound you the whole time and pressure you into buying something you don't want. Eventually decided to pull the trigger on the used scout bobber and ordered some parts for it. These took forever to get shipped but that's on Indian delivery system not this dealer. Overall I highly recommend checking them out if you live in Maryland and are interested in Indians or the other brands they sell. read more

I bought a brand new Zero SRF with cash. First, the storage compartment kept locking itself. The service team could not fix this after attempting twice and ordering a replacement part. They told me to just wait until the rapid charger is delivered since it is installed where the storage compartment is. The fast charger was installed eventually installed crooked. Wires were not properly dressed. I had to bring my bike over 50 miles away to get it properly serviced. In fact Zero Motorcycles told me to only bring it to Cyclemax and not this shop. Do not buy a bike from these people. read more

If you want a genuine Vespa in Maryland, this is the place to go. They have a large selection of Piaggio Vespa scooters and some monster bikes by Indian and Triumph. I bought a 2021 Vespa Gts 300 Touring. Like most cycle sales places, there are a few "fees" that you're really not comfortable with. However, that's the way it is when buying almost any transportation. That's why four stars instead of five. Other than that, it was a good experience. The turn around by email through the website was not very timely. This was the only reason why I only gave 4 stars. When we visited the dealership, we walked in 15 minutes before they closed just to get a glimps of what they had. We did not feel rished and we kept in mind the time frame we were walking in so we did a quick walk through to see the options that were available. Made a phone call the following week to see what options were still avaiable that I liked, and made a decision over the phone. Jen even sent me photos. The following days, I worked out the details over the phone and through email and then went to the shop to pay for my selection. I was bumbed that I couldn't take my Vespa home that day, but understand that it had not been prepped and needed to be b4 it was taken on the road. I bought my Triumph from these guys and they are absolute professionals. They are more than willing to answer questions, let you wander the shop, even take a test ride if they have a demo model available. (Speaking of, try the Zero electric bikes if you have a chance. They are waaaay more fun than they ought to be). The entire staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and were able to put my mind at ease for every item on my bill. They also gave me a thorough demonstration of every feature on my new bike before I rode off, even though the deal was already done. That's the kind of attention that earns repeat business. Time I put this in writing. Bought a Triumph from these folks last year. The entire purchase experience (including a test ride) was great. No pressure, no hassle, and the bike was ready to go when promised. I take my bike back here for service because I get straight answers to my questions and because the mechanics are decent guys who will talk to you about your bike, clearly like bikes themselves, and don't have an attitude. Shop personnel are friendly and helpful and make a real effort to do right if there's any sort of issue. Small shop, so yeah, you have to set up a service appointment---but, frankly, I'd rather do that with folks I think actually care than be able to drop in and get less focused service at a larger shop. read more

Chesapeake Cycles: the classic nightmare dealership. $45 for a repair quote, which they don't bother to mention until after you've made the effort to ride in, have your information entered into their computer system, give them your keys, and watch them ride your bike to their garage. Called these hucksters prior to making the 45 minute ride to Annapolis and explained that I wanted a quote for some work on my Triumph. "No problem, come on in." Made the trek to Annapolis, spoke with Mike the service manager, explained again that I wanted a quote for some work. "No problem", says Mike. Mike takes my info and keys, pulls the bike around to the back, returns to the desk, and then hits me with the oh-by-the-way "I have to charge you $45 to look at the bike." Classy timing, Mike. In a nutshell, kinda happy Chesapeake Cycles showed their cards early. If they don't respect you enough to be upfront about a quote fee, I can't imagine the rabbit hole you're in for once they open up your bike and you can't flee to another shop. read more

Received a 4 month delay in receiving title and permanent tags after purchasing my scooter in March 2019. Multiple phone calls and a personal visit were needed to finally resolve the issue. While I understand there was a change in management during this time period, the company could have done much better. read more

Once again, I have to praise Chesapeake Cycles for their service. I live in Northern Virginia where there are a couple of shops that I could take my bike to, but I would much rather make the 50 mile (each way) to have it serviced by them. My most recent visit was for an ABS light remaining lit. When I called to make the appointment, they advised they did not have the sensor in stock (the expected problem) but could have it in a few days and we made the appointment for a day after they expected to have it. On appointment day, I dropped the bike off and went to the waterfront for lunch. Within 30 minutes, I received a call to advise it was the front sensor and told them to proceed with the repairs. Less than an hour later, I received the call telling me the work had been completed. Had I taken it to another shop (as I had done in the past), it would have been at least two days before the problem was identified and a few more days before I could pick up the bike. Great service and staff! read more

Horrible service. First, you have to wait one month to get an appointment then you have to wait over another month for the repair. Service representative says they have trouble finding qualified technicians --I say pay em more money and they will come! They say they have bikes stacked on top of bikes waiting for repair and yet their Service department is closed on Monday! In my view, Chesapeake Cycle's is only interested in selling the product but they are not interested in service. Good luck finding someone to service your PIaggio scooters. I find it hard to believe that repairs are being done "while you wait" as mentioned on their website. If they are going to sell this stuff then they should service it too? read more

This is the most friendly and customer service-oriented dealer I've ever experienced. Mike, the president, is just as likely to be on the floor greeting you and introducing you to your future ride as any of the sales guys. Guy and Kevin are extremely knowledgeable and very patient. I had lots of questions for Kevin before I pulled the trigger on my new 2015 Indian Chief Vintage, and did not sense any hard-sell attitude or impatience. Once I took delivery, Vern, the service manager, treated me with courtesy and and grace despite juggling the myriad of issues only someone who manages mechanics, customers and parts would understand. I recently got a new Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycle. The dealer network wasn't extensive when I bought it and while the dealer in Pennsylvania I ordered it from was great to deal with, driving 240 miles round trip for every oil change didn't sound too appealing. So I was excited to hear that Chesapeake Cycles was going to be an Indian dealer, just 40 miles from the DC area. I quickly tried to put on the 500 break-in miles so I could let the bike loose. I pulled into Chesapeake Cycles for the 500 mile service after making an appointment that week. The service manager quickly got my bike in within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment and got to work on it. I also picked up the Indian handlebar bag at another dealer and had some trouble bolting it to the headlight myself so I asked if they could put that on while they were at it. Conveniently there is a shopping mall across the street so I headed over for lunch while I waited. I got back from lunch and the bike was done within 2 hours. Had a good conversation with the service manager while the shop was finishing up. He was very knowledgeable about all the makes they sell and service. Bill for the service was exactly as quoted and they installed the handlebar bag at no extra charge. They also updated the firmware on the bike as part of the service and it's running better than ever. Looking forward to riding my new Indian and doing business with Chesapeake Cycles. read more

The shop has really good character, it's comfortable to come in and just chat about bikes and look around without any pressure. The process of buying a bike was simple and easy. The demand for Indian motorcycles is currently higher than production, but this shop doesn't take advantage of their customers, unlike what Harley Davidson was famous for when they were in that situation. read more

I've been to Chesapeake Cycle 4 or 5 times. The one thing I can say is they are consistent. They're indifferent, slow, technically challenged and completely unenthusiastic about what they do. I am a big Indian motorcycle fan with several Indians in the stable. I was delighted to hear that indian had a dealer close by. From the first time I went there to see the new Indian motorcycles and then followed up by the visits to the shop for accessories, I realized I was pretty much on my own with very little interaction from the staff. I felt as if I was an interruption on the way to their paycheck. I can't speak for service but their sales, accessory and parts department needs a lot of customer service training. I won't be going back. Guess I'll take my money to Hernley's in Pennsylvania or Indian Motorcycle of Northern New Jersey. read more

Lots of really good looking bikes.Pretty clean dealership,and some good looking merch.I came in on a Saturday with my gf.She has been wanting to get into riding for awhile,so I thought to myself Triumph a great name and I mean come on Steve McQueen rode one.Parking was great lots of room and decent looking from the front.When we walked in the door the woman sitting at the front sorta looked us up and down and then disregarded us.Maybe if I had the Rolex on the wrist and the appropriate kit on it might have gone better.Maybe I am being a touch testy and defensive,not sure.We proceeded to look at various makes and models and the whole time an older woman who I imagine worked there was watching us like we were going to try and steal something.All and all Im hoping it was just a bad day there and not typical,from reading the other reviews I am hoping so. read more

Went to this dealership a few weeks ago ready to buy an Indian Motorcycle. I had already filled the online application and been approved for credit. When I arrived not once was asked if I wanted to sit or see the motorcycle I wanted to buy, I had to ask. Than I was told I was getting $1000 in accessories as part of the deal. After 30 minutes of discussion to try to negotiate the price of the bike, which on the phone they said it was negotiable, in person not so, they told me that the 2017 models were not part of the $1000 promotion. This whole time I'm standing by the front door. I was so disappointed at the whole experience I told the sales person that I didn't think that was right to tell me something and then retract, and he had the blank look and just said sorry. But he wasn't really sorry. I just walked out, they didn't seem to care. I went to Harley Davidson and purchased a Dyna Low Rider. Got amazing service at the fairfax dealership. Avoid this Annapolis Indian dealership like it's the plague!!!! read more

The worst and the most expensive ordeal I have ever had. Paid for them to upgrade my Vespa, 5 tow truck trips later I have to sell the Vespa because they can't fix their mistake. No offer of compensation or even a Sorry from the owner. I even offered to use the Vespa as a trade in on another model and was told they could not accept it because it was not running. It was their fault is was not running. Please think carefully before going there for repairs. read more

Bravo to Brad and Mike at Chesapeake cycles. I wanted a particular color scheme on the 2017 Triumph T120 that they didn't have in stock. They went out of their way to find it for me and bring it in with a quick turnaround. From the moment I walked in and inquired until I rode away on my new wheels they were courteous, responsive and good for their every word. Has a 2011 Victory Vision. Front drive sprocket starting leaking oil at 18K. Took it in to Chesapeake cycles in Annapolis; they wouldn't cover it under warranty. It should have been covered; it was an internal part that failed but they wouldn't go the extra mile for me with Ma Vic. Paid almost 500 dollars to get it fixed. 3,000 miles later; it started leaking again. Went to Chesapeake cycles twice thereafter; and let them know it was leaking again... and I didn't want to pay another $500.00 to get it fixed. They were supposed to call me the following week to schedule a repair (they had too many bikes in the shop that week) but... they never called me back to schedule a repair. Oh...during that initial seal repair; they also tried to charge me for the tire that I brought in to put on the rear wheel of my Vision. That Vision was a very comfortable bike. And I do all of my wrenching myself; but since this was an internal oil seal for the front drive sprocket; I took it in to them so that the warranty would take care of it. Nope... they wanted to charge me the non-warranty rate which is higher than what Victory would've paid them. Oh btw... they also did not reassemble my exhaust system correctly during the first deal repair... I developed an "exhaust pop" after I picked it up; and I had to loosen every exhaust joint and re-tighten in the correct sequence. They also managed to mar up the rear "M" panel as well.. with something dragged across it. In all my years of motorcycling, there have only been a few times that I've ever taken a bike into the dealer. And each and every time; something was later wrong with it or repair was not done correctly. Just traded in the Vision for the F6B. I'm done with the Vision and the people\service department at Chesapeake Cycles. It's a crying shame when you have to go back to Japanese for a quality motorcycle. read more

The owner is a lot of hot air and a bit of a con artist... I thought I was buying a 2012 Vespa XL 150 and when it arrived it turned out to be a 2010 S 150 ... he did say he would take it back ... but he knew he had me over the barrel. When he delivered it ... he scratched the bumper and said he would replace it... he never did. Then I purchased the topbox at the same time I purchased the Vespa... he promised to come and install it when it arrived and finally after 6 months and many phone calls ... he finally SENT it to me... but with the typical FU ... no instructions... I highly recommend NOT buying from this place... unless you like being taken advantage of and being really frustrated. read more

UPDATE: I sent the information in this review to the owner and received a call within the hour. He took responsibility for the things the shop had done poorly and made no excuses, explained the parts that were Vespa"s fault (wrong order numbers, shipping the scoot with the wrong fuse) and promised to make everything right including by cutting me a check immediately for the reimbursement for the windshield, springing for new parts for the parts of the scooter that had been nicked during repair, and fixing everything at no inconvenience to me. I was impressed. This is the kind of customer service I thought I was going to get. I've upgraded the stars to 3. When he delivers, I'll go higher. I purchased a 2015 Vespa Primavera 150 in March. They installed the rear rack quickly but had to order the windshield. They ordered the wrong windshield, so pick-up was delayed. I finally just decided to pick the bike up without the windshield, so I wouldn't miss some fabulous riding weather. I picked up the scooter. They were nice. They helped me to secure the scooter in the trailer. However, when I got it home the headlight and automatic seat release didn't function. I read the manual, and found that these things were on the same fuse, opened the fuse box and found a burnt fuse of the wrong size. Next day, bought a new fuse. Started the scooter and the fuse burned out. Inserted another fuse, blew again. Called the dealership and they diagnosed a probably short and asked me to bring the bike back in. Rented the trailer a second time and brought it back in. Two weeks later they called to say it was ready and they had also installed the windshield. Rented a trailer again (i'm 45 minutes away), took the afternoon off work and arrived to pick up the scooter. They had installed the wrong sized windshield. When I told them, they said, "Okay, leave the bike and we'll order the right part ." I was not about to do that and have to rent the trailer yet again while loosing yet another couple weeks. I asked them to remove the screen so I could take the bike with me that afternoon and to figure out a way to reimburse me the money for the windshield and install. When I got the bike there were nicks in the paint where the service personnel had been sloppy during install. The finance manager agreed to send a message to my finance company getting those costs off my loan. Ten days later, I called the finance company and they have not been contacted by Chesapeake Cycle on this matter. So, to recap, they did not check my scooter before pick-up to see if it worked properly and it had to go back in for a major repair, they mis-ordered my windshield twice, marred the scooter while repairing, cost me $30 in extra transport costs and failed to resolve the reimbursement with the finance company. Perhaps this was just bad luck, but it demonstrates failure at various levels of the organization. read more
