One suggestion, have you ever considered any kind of sound dampening drapes or pads in the restaurant? We always have great meals but sometimes when you're at full capacity, it can be hard to hear the group or the server without multiple requests to repeat themselves, or a hand wave and a "we'll talk when we're at the car". They had several "regular" customers who they already knew their names and orders and it gave a home-town vibe! I ordered the everything bagel with regular cream cheese and my sister ordered the Asiago bagel with regular cream cheese and both were extremely fresh and easy to chew and the tang in the cream cheese was just right!

Thought of the day was extremely funny (we stopped right after a blood draw).

My daughter called ahead to check about gluten-free options on the menu as the list of what he can and cannot eat is very limiting at this time and he is still figuring things out which can be rough for a high school senior. We were seated promptly in the front window area and Shannon S. was our server. Now I don't know if Shannon was told to expect us, but she hit the ball out of the proverbial park. Not only did she suggest side options for grandson, but when questions about ingredients were asked that she couldn't answer she went to the kitchen to presumably ask chef--but she came back to the table with answers AND a binder containing all the ingredients for each menu item (no, sorry that has garlic as a seasoning; no sorry that has a sauce with onions; no sorry that has cheese). In the end, grandson was able to choose with confidence side dishes in place of the standard menu options so that his meal wouldn't mess with his digestive system--he became more of an active participant in deciding his dinner--and that his meal was one he really, really, really enjoyed. He was surprised that a restaurant would go to those lengths to help a customer. Brighton Bar and Grill was a favorite spot when husband and I lived in Howell years ago and will definitely come back to the high service and quality food we experienced on this visit.

It was very clean and a warm, welcoming environment. We loved their breadsticks and the marinara sauce that comes with it is fantastic. My husband said the sausage portion of his pizza was a 9.2/10 and the best sausage he's ever had. He said the pepperoni was amazing too, but that the sausage on the pizza was so good that it was his favorite part. It was baked to perfection, too. We will be back to try more!

Let me start with that we have been to this location a number of times and normally have a good…read moreexperience. I hope that yesterday was an anomoly but I feel needs to be addressed. Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.
