We called to order and it was hard work. Maybe it's our Australian accents but usually we can understand Asians, and this chick wasn't easy. So we had to give the numbers instead of the menu items but we got there in the end. Please please please introduce online ordering!! My husband arrived to pick up the order at the 20 minute mark when they said it would be ready. Our food and several others were lined up in the counter waiting, not in the kitchen keeping hot. That was a worry considering the lady in front of him was complaining to the manager that her food was cold and order was wrong. Please please please get a hot bay or keep the food under a light in the kitchen!! Now how do you judge a good Thai place? by their pad Thai and their panang curry. We also got potstickers and steamed dumplings. Their pad Thai ROCKED! This will be the main reason for my return. They were a little light on the meat but the flavour was great. The beef panang curry also had a great sauce but the beef was chewy and not pleasant to eat. They were a bit skinny on the rice too. Potstickers get a thumbs up but steamed dumplings get a thumbs down. The dumplings were dry and also not pleasant to eat. I also felt like their portions were a little smaller than most other places. We came here due to the good reviews. We came here around 8:30pm on a Friday night. It was pretty empty for a Friday night. The waitress was friendly. We ordered a fish cake, pad see ew, and kua noodles. Both the noodles tasted very similar. Bold flavor but not too saucy. The reason I deducted a star was because the noodles were quite mushy. The noodles were very soft and breaks immediately when I tried to pick up with my chopsticks. The fish cake is what steals the show. I like how it's not too fish and it has cilantro, long beans, and carrots. It also had a bouncy texture. The Thai ice tea was okay, a bit too sweet for my taste. First of all..If you are debating on going here just GO! Me and my partner were in the area and were craving Thai food and this absolutely just blew me away it's such a jem! I ordered the pad thai and my partner the green curry both were AMAZING. I was scared about going spicy (especially when it comes to different Thai places it varies) but to be honest I could've gone up if you like spicy don't be afraid to go past mild! Let me just say the service was INCREDIBLE! It's family owned and just something about it just felt really comfortable. Yes Yes Yes!! Finally a fantastic Thai restaurant that isn't a chain! We stopped in here tonight after some lake time on Cherry Creek Reservoir, and from the simple decor, weren't sure what to expect. What we found was absolutely delicious food which refreshingly was NOT full of sugar and sickeningly sweet sauces. It was fresh and absolutely delightful. And to learn that it is a family-owned and run business, is even better. Their son coming home from college is running the delivery orders! The reviews are right, this place is delicious! Place was kind of dead when we arrived as only 4 other people eating and got a bit worried only to realize we were going 'Old People' style and were eating at 5:45 on a Sunday. We both ordered a noodle bowl, me with the traditional Pad Thai and my wife with the Drunken Noodles. I did the seafood combo and it came with 2-3 pieces each of scallops, shrimp, squid, mussels and lobster. Wife did the chicken and we were very impressed by it all, food wise. Meat was tender and the noodles were cooked just right. The place is fairly new so I won't ding them too bad but they need to work on their service quality. While we got seated right away and our food came out in a timely manner, the server was young and seemed to getting frazzled with more and more people coming in, didn't ask if we wanted drinks, forgot to give us silverware and it took a bit longer than it should to get the bill. I'm sure they'll get better with time so just have a little patience. The food is definitely worth it! The Peal of Siam is still the crown jewel in this area(IMO) but they'll have some serious competition if Cherry Thai can get their service dialed in. read more

Thank you Thai Food Gods for giving the lovely owner this spot in Southern Aurora to keep me fat. Came here by word of mouth, wasn't sure what to expect. Being part Thai, I can get pretty picky with my Thai food. I ordered a Papaya Salad and a Beef Pad Thai. The owner hooked me up with a cup of Tom Yum. I ordered this as a take-out. Starting with the Pad Thai, the right kind of noodle is used (Thai style), unlike your normal Colorado-style where the Pad Thai has a thick gravy, this resembles Thai street food style, where it's drier. I just added a little lime juice and it was great. Not sure if you can see it, but the portion is huge ($7.95!!!) Secondly, the Tom Yum, a bite of this reminded me of my childhood outings in Thailand. The kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and right amount of spice was used, there was so much flavor. Lastly, the papaya salad made me regret that I didn't order sticky rice to accompany it. Unlike other restaurants you order this dish from, she sure gave me a very generous portion. I go to a fair amount of Thai places and was blown away with how much I enjoyed this place. Been here 3 times in the past month or so during non peak hours and will be back. Going to go here as much as I can before I leave the state in a couple weeks :'( I got my usual litmus test of Sesame chicken with fried rice(possibly the best fried rice I've ever had), excellent balance between textures of the breaded outside and tender chicken inside (a lot of places don't get this right, they nailed it) Sauce was very flavorful and enjoyable. Amazing the next day as leftovers as well! When I invited my family for lunch one day, they brought out a couple different appetizers on the house for us to try and both of them were great! (Veggie soup of some variety and Thai veggie egg roll) everyone loved it! (Side note - my mom/sister liked but weren't used to eggplant in the curry, it's listed on there, just something to be aware of if you order it) I've seen a couple people talk about long wait times during busy hours which I never visited during, but I will say they were incredibly friendly and hospitable when I was there. After taking part in opening a new food establishment myself, I know how difficult it can be to adequately staff and know when to plan for being rushed. Was empty when we went in - unassuming place in a strip mall in the heart of Aurora. We ordered some staples on our first visit here - ck satay, drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. The satay is really flavorful with huge ck pieces but a bit too dry for my taste. My wife gave it two thumbs up! The pineapple fried rice with beef had a very unique taste - less curry and more brown sauce. The first few bites were too heavy on the fish sauce but a good mixing and fresh lime squeeze made it very tasty! The drunken noodle was AMAZING! No changes needed - took you on a superb taste journey right away. We ordered our food at level 4&5 (scale of 1-10). Ordered online for pickup and the estimated wait time was 45+ minutes. When we got to the restaurant they were completely empty, not a single soul in sight. Took the food home. I ordered the Pad Woon Sen, level 9 and my husband ordered Pineapple Curry level 8. Neither of our dishes were spicy considering Level 10 is one level away from Thai Hot. My dish was packed with noodles but lacked so much flavor. It was bland and just unpleasant. I ate all the chicken and called it a night on that. My husband's dish was a little bizarre. We eat Thai food a lot and this is the first time we've seen fresh cucumbers in our curry. The curry also lacked flavor and not spicy. I definitely was full after eating it. It tasted pretty authentic and the menu had many different options. The Thai tea here was a bit too sweet in my opinion. I love this place! I stop here anytime I'm in the neighborhood. At the time I ate here they were doing limited indoor seating for COVID. I also do takeout from her often as well. My favorite is their green curry beef. Their Tom Kha Gai is great too. Unfortunately what has been one of my favorite Thai places for to-go or delivery orders isn't what it used to be. I used to order from here very regularly and I would say over the past 3-4 months it hasn't even tasted like I'm ordering from the same place. I typically would order the Pad See Ew or Drunken Noodles and for the past 4 times the dish has been extremely dry, bland, sometimes undercooked, and overall not enjoyable. I was hoping each time it was a fluke and would be corrected the next time, but at this point giving up and finding a new Thai restaurant. Disappointing! read more

Excellent vegetarian and pescatarian options. Spice level choices were great, especially for our group because we had level 2's up to level 8's. We ordered takeout from Cherry Thai for our weekly takeout order. With a little hiccup in terms of the delivery (i think more of miscommunication with Doordash), we finally got our meal. We ordered panang curry, pad thai and pad see ew, along with the chicken satay as an appetizer. We ordered mild for everything (i know... it's because there's a toddler who eats with us now), and everything was fine other than the panang curry. If this is mild, then I don't want to know what medium/hot is. My suspicion is that they made a mistake with the mildness, which was fine. It had a good heat, just the toddler couldn't enjoy with us. Occupying the spot formerly held by the venerable Wan's Mandarin House, Cherry Thai is quickly becoming a go-to option for excellent Thai (etc.) cuisine amongst Aurora residents - and, indeed, even those living further afield. Plop yourself down in a nice comfy booth and start things off with a refreshing glass of seasonal mixed juice (it often includes apple, orange, and sometimes even carrot) while you have a glance at the ample menu offerings. One of my favorite appetizers is Tod Mun Pla - plump fishcakes redolent with lime leaves, green beans, and lemongrass (among other flavorings). But maybe some Pik Gai Yang (perky grilled chicken wings) are speaking a bit more loudly to you - and who can blame them? Then again, to borrow from the Fab Four, "All you need is Larb". No, really! Once you've tried Cherry Thai's rendition of this classic Thai/Lao salad (made with your choice of beef, pork, or chicken, marinated in lime juice, and generously tossed with mint, coriander, and lashings of roasted rice powder), I'm sure it'll promptly join your own hit parade. Oh yes - there are so many ways to begin a meal here, but even more ways to keep it gleefully going. Although Pattaya fried rice is named after the legendary Thai holiday destination, it in fact has its origins in Indonesia, where it's called Nasi Goreng Amplop, or "enveloped fried rice". The envelope in this case is a soft omelet which lovingly embraces the rice itself (chock full of chopped veggies). Praram Long Song (sometimes referred to as "Bathing Rama") uses a luxurious peanut/coconut sauce to drench the protein of your choosing. But I'll let you in on a little secret. Cherry Thai in fact also has a few dishes spotlighting Thailand's next-door neighbor, Myanmar! One that I've especially enjoyed is Nan Gyi Thoke (voluptuously chewy noodles with curried chicken, cabbage, and yellow bean powder). But as always, your mileage may vary. One thing that won't change, however, is the tastiness of the eatery's desserts, like Khanom Maw Kaeng (dense eggy custard) or the ever-popular Khao Niew Mamuang (sliced mango and sweet sticky rice). read more

Updated 11/21 - this place has gone drastically down hill in the last year. Prices jumped as soon as they added sushi. Their new website charges for things that had previously been included in the order. Unfortunately I think we will not be returning again. Such a shame to see such a great place get run down by penny pinching and lack of attention to detail. Spice levels are never even close to accurate anymore. We got the vegetable egg rolls, crab cheese rangoons, green curry, red curry + Thai iced tea. Thai iced teas were a bit sweeter than I normally like but still tasty; egg rolls + Rangoons were delicious, as were the curries! I loved that the curries had a big variety of vegetables (bamboo, broccoli, green pepper, green beans, zucchini + eggplant). They also offer 1-10 on the spiciness. We ordered a 5 and it was quite spicy, so be warned! The portion sizes were good, we had plenty for left overs. Prices were good as well... $40 for all of that! Will definitely return. read more

So it's really hard nowadays to find somewhere or you can sit and eat Asian food. Most of them are a few tables but mainly take out. This place was really clean and the atmosphere was nice. The service was a little lacking and I think after some experience the server would be better but definitely needed some help on the way. We had time to kill so that wasn't a big deal but if you don't have time to kill I would make mention of that ahead of time. The food was great and everything was roughly around $12. With a side of rice. The pop was not fountain it was by the can so be aware of that if you order. Will definitely be back to give it another try. I ordered the pad see ew and I would rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't overly flavorful but still tasted better than a lot of Thai places. The food here is amazingly good and authentic. Pad Thai was perfectly seasons and chicken was moist and not dry compared to other places. Papaya salad was best I've ever had. Lad na has tons of Chinese broccoli, indicates authenticity of the dish. Prices were so cheap I even questioned the server if he forgot to charge me for a dish. Extremely friendly and kind service.
