Monday evening's quick decision to try this place. It was fairly empty of patrons but quite busy with takeout and Ubereats pickups. Huh. The interior was very clean and nicely decorated with umbrellas hanging from the ceiling and Thai 80's music playing softly over the speakers. It was really pleasant. I ordered coconut curry chicken soup as an appetizer and hubby ordered shrimp spring rolls. The soup was a little thin on coconut milk but had good flavor. I didn't like the carrots in the soup. The spring rolls were good and refreshing and the peanut sauce was tasty. Hubby ordered the panang curry with shrimp and it was delightful. I ordered the Kua noodles with seafood which I should have ordered other meats because I didn't care for the seafood mix used. However, the rest of the dish was incredible! The sauce and other ingredients were great together!! What I wasn't expecting were the up charges for the seafood but I'd love to return and try other items but without the seafood. read more

Honest review, the food is definitely sub par Thai cuisine. It's sad to me that a culture of delicious flavors would represent itself so poorly. We ordered the chicken satay, it was fried not grilled, the sauce was not good at all, runny and not representative of peanut sauce. The papaya salad was bland, asked for HOT, came super mild. Tom Kha soup, vegetables were utilitarian veggies, nothing interesting, raw eggplant and mushrooms, too many onions. Chicken panang curry, same veggies as the soup, not interesting, flavor was too sweet and not spicy enough. Lastly, the steamed veggie side, super bland, however, best deal at $3.50. Have been going to Cherry Thai for years on and off. Over the years they have switched owners. The food has been mostly consistent, the Pad Thai and other noodle dishes have always been delicious and very filling. Other than that, the other dishes have been sub par. Any beef dish we've had has been a bit undercooked and lacking in flavor. I would recommend the noodles and curries, but otherwise would skip the other dishes. The most recent visit I placed a pick up order and the restaurant was empty except for one table. There were no staff to be found. I waited a few minutes before eventually taking my food and leaving as no one ever came out. Overall, decent food but only for a rare treat, and the service is questionable. read more

We had heard a lot about Cherry Thai and decided to try it out. There were any people there when we came for lunch, but it did not dissuade us from giving it a go. We had read previous reviews on Yelp that the Drunken noodles were best in the city, so heck ya order those. We also chose the green curry. The noodles were good, but not best in the city, but the curry was awesome! They have a lot of great Thai choices on the menu, so when we come back, we plan to try others.. like Pad Thai, Pad see-ew, and Pad Woonsen. Probably going to get the Cherry Mix app as well, it was just too much for me and my friend. Prices are very reasonable too. Hope they start to see a lot more business. I would totally recommend them for take out! Our only disappointment was that review said they had beer and wine. Just so you know... they do not. Went again to Cherry Thai after a long hiatus - I'm pretty sure they have new owners and a new cook. (But I could be incorrect.) Regardless, the food here is *awesome* - go and get yourself some. Highly recommended. Across Parker Road from the Emerald Isle: the atmosphere is no frills, and there's more than a few Door Dash drivers here. They no longer serve beer, while I miss a Sing Ha, their Thai Tea (or Coffee) is up to the task of cooling the heat. Super reasonable prices too... :) read more

Yum! We ordered Cherry Thai on a day that our usual favorites were closed. It's in a pretty unassuming shopping center, but don't let that fool you. The food was good, pretty Americanized and a medium spice level was barely spicy at all. We enjoy the veggie pad Thai (on the sweet side), pot stickers, Tom kha soup, and pad prik khing. This is one of the strangest situations you'll find but I'm sure is commonplace after the pandemic - but we've been getting delivery from this restaurant for years and love it, so we decided why not go in. It was empty, so we were scared, was this the right location? yes, they are also called 'Gluten Free Thai Table' on the delivery services, and let me tell you - the food is DELICIOUS and the portions are huge. While we were there we saw an endless stream of delivery drivers and customers picking up and ordering take-out. It's definitely one of the best choices in the area, just most of us don't eat out anymore. Give it a shot, and if you have Celiac they have even more dishes in the restaurant than are avaiable online, and they even had gluten free soy sauce (tamari) for me. So my partner has been raving about this place by his house for a minute, and I decided to do a surprise pickup on my way to hangout with him the other day and give it a try. He always is going on about the egg rolls and I have to say they were quite good! Massive too; I think the biggest egg roll I've seen. We also got some steamed dumplings to start which were a bit cold but also good. For entrees we got Pad Thai - level Thai hot. It was very good but honestly I thought the spice level was more of a 5. And Drunken Noodles level 7- probably more of a 2. Both were absolutely delicious in flavor but I think I enjoyed the Pad Thai more mainly because there was more heat. I would definitely order everything here Thai Hot which is the highest option. And of course for dessert I had to get me favorite mango stick rice. So delicious; the mango was heavenly perfectly ripe and so good. I will say one thing that was a little off putting was that I put my pickup order in through grub hub to be picked up at a certain time (I live downtown and not close by so I was trying to time the pickup with my drive) and the order was ready 25 min before the designated pickup time- hence the cold dumplings. Surprisingly everything else wasn't terribly cold; but I don't know the point of having a pickup time to try to ensure hot fresh food, if the business isn't going to adhere to it. I would come back here in a heartbeat but I would recommend that perhaps the restaurant pay a bit more attention to the time orders are meant to be prepared by to avoid possibly serving customers cold food. Also maybe don't be anti social like me and call the restaurant to place your order and this probably won't happen. Lol read more

So happy we finally have good Thai nearby!!! This place is authentic and the service is great. I took a large group (most of whom hadn't ever had Thai, and I'm serious) and we all ordered different meals- not a single complaint; they loved their meals. It was a pleasant surprise to discover this place as we were coming by thinking it was the previous Chinese place still but this place kills it! The staff was so friendly and patient and made sure we were all well taken care of. Great flavor in everything and the rest was all cooked perfectly and good quality- no fatty parts. Large portions too and great prices. My favorite soup Tom Kha Khai was made to perfection! (I can't say the same for other Thai places nearby). If you like spicy I would go above medium- the medium was mild for me. Free shrimp rangoons too! Everyone loved 'em! Looks great inside, clean, modern, and welcoming! They did just open and I don't believe they predicted they'd be such a hit this quick so I'm sure they'll have more staff soon, check out took a little bit which is completely understandable. I'm not sure what happened to this place but it is no longer a place I can recommend. It seems like when they expanded to doing cherry sushi from the same location everything went downhill. We did takeout like we often do and items we had eaten 10-15 times had completely different ingredients and frankly tasted so bland. We kept trying thinking it was just a bad night but after trying 3 more times we gave up because of the flavorless watered down curry, bland oily noodles, and uncooked vegetables in the dishes. read more

Ordered delivery last night from here. It took them about an hour and a half to deliver luke warm meals. Their sesame chicken was very dry and tasted like they used a frozen chicken that was in the freezer longer than they should have been. Yeah maybe I shouldn't have ordered a Chinese dish from a Thai restaurant so it could be my fault but why have this dish if they are going to serve something that's not edible? Their drunken noodle tasted fine, but noodles were undercooked. Plus noodles were all clumped up and lumped into chunks that it really didn't resemble any drunken noodles we ever gotten. As for the Thai chicken wings, no flavor on them but I guess it's called Thai chicken wings because they serve it with a side of Thai sweet chili sauce. This place I think has changed ownership since I went last. There is another review here that said the same thing so I decided to give another try since it's so close to my house. And yes it was soooo much better and just all around a good experience. I got their Tom yum and the yellow curry and neither of them were overwhelming filled with too many onions and the Tom yum wasn't overwhelming filled with cilantro. The ordering process online was super easy. I ordered tofu and they called right away letting me know they were out of it instead of just not making it. I appreciate that a lot. I didn't dine in but I went in to grab the to go and it was clean and well maintained. But no one was dining in at the time. Disclaimer- I won't write a bad restaurant review unless I have given the restaurant an opportunity to correct what was wrong. In this case, I wrote them an email the same night that I picked up my to-go order, and never received a response (I believe that was 2 weeks ago - 10/15). I ordered the Cashew Stir fried with tofu, spicy. That dish is supposed to come with zucchini, yellow onion, bell pepper, carrot, mushroom and green onion. What it came with was tomatoes, green onion, yellow onion, and scrambled egg. The dish had absolutely no spice, and very little flavor. So, it was missing 4 of the vegetables and they added tomatoes, which I don't like cooked into my food. By the time I discovered the error in the dish, I was a 20 minute drive away and wasn't going to return to have it corrected. For a $15 dish, this was extremely disappointing, and I will try other restaurants in the area before returning. read more

I've been going here often on for a few years whenever I'm in town since it is an hour away for me. I was running a business errand for my husband and was close to the restaurant so decided to go in for a sit down lunch...many times I do carry out. Having to avoid gluten and dairy isn't always easy but many times with Thai food it's much easier. The server Tim was an incredible person, very personable! I learned so much about him and felt blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know him a bit. The restaurant recently went under new management. It's also very clean and very fresh food. Very pleased with my experience. We ordered take out. It was ready seconds after our arrival, the order was correct, and packaged well. We enjoyed the Streamed Dumplings which were visually appetizing as well as tasty! I had the Woonsen Pad Thai which also looked appetizing. I ordered a 5 on a heat scale of 1-10. The pad Thai was the only thing the family was "meh" about - the other dishes were really yummy! And the ability to order everything vegetarian is huge for our crew - we have a mix of meat eaters and non and it's so hard to find delicious vegetarian Thai! We will become regulars for sure - just wish the pad Thai had a bit more flavor. Maybe just an "off night" - will taste it again to see. I ordered the red curry with chicken, and, crab Rangoon. The curry was good, but the rice it came with was undercooked having too much bite left and crunchy almost. The crab Rangoon must have been old meat, because I could smell it upon opening the box, and it was in the taste as well. I still ate it, but this is not good quality and like I said, may j been old, so I hope I don't get sick. read more

I was sooo excited to try Cherry Thai, great reviews and close to home. Surely they offer delivery - not anymore apparently. Please please please join Uber eats or yelp delivery!! We called to order and it was hard work. Maybe it's our Australian accents but usually we can understand Asians, and this chick wasn't easy. So we had to give the numbers instead of the menu items but we got there in the end. Please please please introduce online ordering!! My husband arrived to pick up the order at the 20 minute mark when they said it would be ready. Our food and several others were lined up in the counter waiting, not in the kitchen keeping hot. That was a worry considering the lady in front of him was complaining to the manager that her food was cold and order was wrong. Please please please get a hot bay or keep the food under a light in the kitchen!! Now how do you judge a good Thai place? by their pad Thai and their panang curry. We also got potstickers and steamed dumplings. Their pad Thai ROCKED! This will be the main reason for my return. They were a little light on the meat but the flavour was great. The beef panang curry also had a great sauce but the beef was chewy and not pleasant to eat. They were a bit skinny on the rice too. Potstickers get a thumbs up but steamed dumplings get a thumbs down. The dumplings were dry and also not pleasant to eat. I also felt like their portions were a little smaller than most other places. Usually for an order like that we feed us and our baby for dinner and lunch but this only did us dinner and a snack. It was a little cheaper though too. read more

We came here due to the good reviews. We came here around 8:30pm on a Friday night. It was pretty empty for a Friday night. The waitress was friendly. We ordered a fish cake, pad see ew, and kua noodles. Both the noodles tasted very similar. Bold flavor but not too saucy. The reason I deducted a star was because the noodles were quite mushy. The noodles were very soft and breaks immediately when I tried to pick up with my chopsticks. The fish cake is what steals the show. I like how it's not too fish and it has cilantro, long beans, and carrots. It also had a bouncy texture. The Thai ice tea was okay, a bit too sweet for my taste.
