This has become our go to spot for yogurt. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly. They have a lot of different flavors, including sugar free options, which we really like. There are tons of toppings and fresh fruit, and they even have two big areas just for toppings so you have plenty to choose from. We usually end up here when we're having a late night sugar craving and it always hits the spot. They stay open pretty late which makes it even better. On Friday December 19th my wife wanted a yogurt. I on the other hand really don't eat this crap as I'm lactose intolerant. But, my lovely wife asked me to taste a couple of the non-dairy flavors. She convinced me to have a small cup and I selected the non-dairy peanut butter, wasn't bad. Unfortunately when I got home shortly afterward I started to get an upset stomach. Oh! Boy, this was only the beginning as I went to bed with an upset stomach. The rest of the night and following day I was sick with nausea, throwing up yogurt. I had some Peto Bismol and that didn't do a thing. At this point I'm considering going to the emergency room, but decided to wait. So, here I am 3am Sunday morning feeling a lot better. Always a good trip when we come here, clean and friendly service. But tonight was especially great, I took my toddler out for valentines dinner and dessert but didn't realize how late it was, we pulled up at 9:02 right as they were locking up but when the guy saw us he waved us in and let us still grab frozen yogurt he even had us sample their special Valentine's Day flavor. I am extremely disappointed with Cherry on Top. This is the second time I've arrived well before closing--this time at 8:30 PM--and found the door locked. Their hours clearly state they're open until 9 PM, but the staff doesn't seem to care. I could see a lady inside, but she refused to open the door, even though it wasn't closing time yet. This used to be one of our favorite frozen yogurt spots, but it's become unreliable. I'm wasting my time and gas driving out here for no reason because they're not honoring their posted hours. It's really frustrating, and unfortunately, we'll have to start looking for other frozen yogurt places if this keeps happening. Please do better and respect your customers' time. read more

Tried this place out for the first time today. The guy working there (I asked and his name is Tyler) was really great with helping us (my wife, my mother in law, my two kids and myself) with samples and explaining the prices and how it all works. The frozen yogurt was delicious and lots of varieties to choose from and plenty of tasty toppings. We also had a lemonade slushy which was excellent! This yogurt place is too expensive for the amount of food you get. Some of yogurt items was liquid-like soft or melted when you pulled the handle. A sign indicating that it was still freezing should have been placed had the staff checked each dispenser once in awhile. I paid with cash and I got my change but I did not get a receipt. The main reason I like my froyo is because I love all the fresh fruit on top of my yogurt... strawberries, pineapple, kiwi.. i asked the guy after looking for the fruit where all the fruit was?? It was a bunch of boba and chocolate and sweet stuff, only fruit they had was some sat out over watery, tiny, smashed blueberries and some mango. He said they carry that stuff when it's in season. ???? I said ok. But thought.. I could run to the store to right now and grab some strawberries.. there's plenty at the store.. and pineapple too! ?!?! All of the young people I've dealt with here have been fabulous. What a great crew. The issue is their boss. I've heard this woman speak meanly to multiple young employees. In addition, she has repeatedly not worn her mask correctly. We are in the middle of a pandemic and the first time I noticed this, she had her nose out. Next time, she had her mask hanging down under her chin. When I mentioned this wasn't effective against spreading droplets she said, "I have a medical condition." If that's the case, she shouldn't be working in food service. So - if it were not for her, I'd give this five stars. If it were only her, I'd give it one. read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. They were blasting inappropriate foul music. I paid almost $60 to be there, and my kids were with me. I took this video from my car. Super cool place The owner is friendly I live down the st so I usually go there when I am craving fro yo. I like all the flavors, they are good, there are a LOT of toppings. They even have a divider for those who don't like flavors mixing! (It only fits the blue cup tho). They also have HOT fudge! And peanut butter..strawberry...so cool! I kind of didn't like that they give you samples...usually other places give you the little cups and you try w.e flavors... But its cool, not a biggie. BUT OMG THE SPOONS TURN PURPLE ITS SO COOL! they are those cool spoons that turn a diff color due to the coldness...it becomes purple. The blue spoons look cooler than the pink ones. The only fresh fruit they had is mangoes that look like they have been there a little while. They use to always have a good selection of fresh berries, kiwi, tropical fruit those types of things. Not much of a variety. No fresh fruit only frozen and the only none rock hard fruit was blueberries that were mushy because at some point were frozen. The frozen yogurt was also not the best tasting, I hit strawberry and it was salty and the tart one was not tarty just bitter. I recommend more of a variety of fruity yogurts and maybe add fresh fruit to menu. I came here because it was way closer than yogurtland or menchies since I live in mission grove, but I will probably make the drive out next time. read more

I tried to resolve my issue by writing directly to the owner of this establishment to no avail. I think Lisa (the owner) is a nice person, but she simply offered nothing to resolve the only issue I had; letting a kid barely out of high school have the authority to deny our business for no good reason. My girlfriend and I are professional adults and were very disappointed and humiliated by this experience. We had been going there for years! I didn't care about the runny yogurt that day, things happen. I didn't care about having to wait, not the first time. But exchanging pennies of frozen yogurt for customer loyalty with no offer to make good? Good customer service comes from the vendor, not the customer's demands. Otherwise, it would be called customer demands, not service. Here is the letter I wrote directly to the owner explaining what happened, followed by Lisa's response. Dear Lisa; I have to bring to your attention an incident that happened to me at your shop on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at approximately 4pm. It involved myself, my girlfriend and your employee who identified himself as Blake. I would have preferred to email this to you but couldn't find an address for you. We live close to your establishment and while we have alternatives, we have enjoyed going to your shop from time to time alone and with family and friends. I prefer to write directly to you first to resolve this as I take Yelp reviews and other review platforms as a last resort. Here's what happened: First off, your machine dispensed very soft runny yogurt. Then, we had to wait while a group of 5 or 6 very young children tediously paid one by one with a chaperone resulting in my serving being nearly melted when we got to the register. I told the clerk that I would have to serve myself again because mine was turning into a soup. It was a small serving as I was not too hungry. Instead of simply looking at it for himself and letting me serve myself again, he said he would have to charge me for the melted serving. I refused. I accept that he may be following an inferior policy so I left the serving there. But then, he did something that was completely unfair and inexcusable... he did not allow my girlfriend to purchase her yogurt. In disbelief, I asked him to confirm that he would not sell her her yogurt and he said he wouldn't. This last action ranks as the most abysmal display of customer service I have ever witnessed. I was so disgusted that I reacted inappropriately by saying 'f*** you' to him and then we walked out and went to Golden Spoon. When I called the shop later to get the clerks name without disclosing who I was, he simply hung up on me. I was forced to drive back and ask him his name personally, which he gave, reluctantly. I would like to hear from you letting me know if this is, in fact, your policy being exercised. If not, I would like to know what you will do to rectify it and what you will do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Feel free to call, text or email me via the avenues listed above. With the Covid 19 situation all of us mom and pop small business owners cannot afford to lose any more customers than we have, due to the limitations being imposed for such an extended period. As far as machines dispensing runny yogurt, we do our best to maintain them in top form. But as with all mechanical equipment they do fail from time to time and as soon as its brought to my attention I send out repair technicians. Again with the virus, the wait times are very long and difficult on us all. As far as the employee in question, I will address the behavior and the actions directly with him. To be completely honest, all I get is rave reviews about his customer service from customers who reach out to me on social media and at the shop. I am not saying by any means this did not occur, and I will thoroughly investigate, address, and correct the issue. If there is anything I can personally do to earn your business again please let me know. Again thank you for bringing to my attention as customer service and maintaining the utmost high quality Froyo experience is our top priority. Cherry on Top was decent. I came here after dinner with my husband. I wasn't really greeted by anyone, but there was a large group in there and the girl working there seemed a little overwhelmed. I was looking all over the place and trying to figure out how to get sample cups, when I just decided to just go for it. I got some of the pomegranate raspberry, tart, and cake batter flavors with captain crunch, cheesecake, and baby m&m toppings. My favorite topping is the cookie dough bites, but they were out so I was kind of bummed about that. The girl in front who was working was pleasant when she rang me up. The taste was good--not amazing, but good. The pomegranate raspberry sorbet had good flavor, but the texture was kind of odd. It was bubbly (almost like they made the sorbet with a carbonated drink like Izze). The tart was a very good flavor. The cake batter almost tasted a little like their banana cream pie flavor, which I thought was strange (they were right next to each other in the store). All in all, it was good.
