Self-pour taps, sushi, pizza, and indoor golf?…read more Waymaker Brewing in Roseville brings them all together! It's a fun concept where you can enjoy drinks and bites, book a golf simulator to play a virtual round, or spend some time practicing your swing. They also host events like live music, UFC fight nights, and private parties, adding even more reasons for beer and golf enthusiasts to check this place out! I didn't try the golf simulators during my visits due to back injuries, but I enjoyed watching others have a great time. I got to try all of their sushi offerings and the pizza! The sushi is unique and tasty. They use smoked salmon instead of the usual raw salmon, and honestly, it hits! The smoky flavor gives it a delicious twist. The sushi has crunchy toppings, too! Very tasty! I really like the variety of textures. The pizza hit the spot, too. Between the two, there was plenty to enjoy while sipping my current favorite beers: Breaking Bud and Gummy Worms! I really like the self-pour taps because I can try different options and pour just the amount I want. They also offer wine, which is nice when I feel like switching things up and giving my taste buds something different. The owner, Jacques, is great to talk with. I enjoyed hearing about his concept and love the idea of bringing golf, self-pour drinks, and tasty food together in one place. I hope more people come out and discover Waymaker! Whether you're interested in the golf simulators or just want to hang out with a drink and some good eats, there's plenty of reason to stop by. The sushi, pizza, beer, and friendly conversation already give me plenty of reasons to come back!

Me and my husband are novice golfers and thought it'd be fun for practice and with our family (took our 7yo and MIL). Pros: Very cool concept. Loved that we could practice our swings, use different clubs, and be able to see all of our specs. Loved the idea that they had sushi cause it's our kids favorite. And loved that they had not just beers, but a good variety of seltzers, ciders and even wine on tap! Cons: VERY limited food menu. What they had listed on their website was NOT what they had available for purchase. There were only maybe 10 food items to choose from, and very high priced for what it was. A couple of hand rolls (1 each for $8-$10), Poke Nachos (on tortilla chips - big no no! - use wonton chips!) for $20 (price ok since you got a few small pieces of fish per chip, but they skimped by using tortilla chips, on both price and flavor! And they had 3-4 sushi rolls. Their "special" roll being $20 alone. There wasn't really anything special about it. Definitely not worth $20!! The fish tasted fresh, but so does the local sushi place down the street with massive rolls, full of fish, for $16-18/roll. So don't expect much from the food. I went to ask the guy at the front of if it was user error on the mobile app... he said that they run out of food and when that happens, they just take it off the menu. LAME! Put a disclaimer on your website! Additionally, the guy at the front desk (upon check in) - unhelpful! He asked us if it was our first time, which it was. He set us up and told us if we had questions to just come ask. We did, and each time he seemed like it was more of an annoyance that we were taking him away from his phone time (that he was on every time I went to ask a question). And instead of explaining to us how things work, and how to maneuver through the screens and set things up, he just did what we asked/needed without showing us so we could never fix it or do it ourselves. We figured some things out on our own, but if you have newbies, it would be worth showing them how to use the system so it doesn't take a ton of our paid for time (at $50/hour) to figure things out. Such a waste and makes the cost to worth ratio deteriorate very quickly. So overall, would we go back. Maybe. Definitely not with our kid (which makes it more rare that we'd return). I like to give everything a second try. But for the cost, it would take some convincing and a MUCH better second experience for me to ever go back or recommend this place to friends.

After our original plans with another company were unexpectedly canceled, we needed to arrange a last-minute event for 24 foreign exchange students and their families. Victoria O., our event planner, was amazing. She quickly helped us make arrangements and secured three side-by-side bays so the students could socialize and enjoy the experience together. She was kind, flexible, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. When we arrived, our server, Jordan M., was exceptional. Managing a group of 24 students and their families was complicated, especially when we needed to divide the bill among multiple individuals. Jordan handled everything with professionalism, patience, and kindness. He never made us feel rushed or frustrated and continued to provide excellent service while we collected payments & organized the tabs. We truly appreciated Jordan's willingness to work through the billing process with us. His patience made a challenging situation much easier, and his outstanding customer service did not go unnoticed. Most importantly, all of our students had an absolute blast! They enjoyed playing, socializing, and spending time together, and they could not stop talking about how amazing the food was--especially the "American" food. It was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time and making lasting memories. Victoria and Jordan are both tremendous assets to Topgolf. Victoria helped turn a last-minute cancellation into a successful event, while Jordan made our visit smooth and enjoyable. Thank you both for helping make our International Student Exchange Program event so memorable. Our students loved the GameTime, the food, and the entire experience. We are incredibly grateful for your outstanding service, especially on such short notice. Topgolf should definitely recognize these two!

I mean, I still ate the hell out of them cause I was hungry but... I would definitely return to this business.

Right off the bat-you got to know this place is not fancy-this is the kind of place the serves that golfer who is just beginning-the kind of person who maybe has thought about golf and wants to give it a shot-this is where they head. This driving range is truly a no judgement zone,so many beginners,so many people there who this may be the 1st time they ever held a golf club-I love that about this place, you never know who your going to see here,it can be someone like me who has been playing golf for over 30 years or literally a kid or teenager or woman's group or older person who has never touched a club before-your going to see all types of people, every age, every skill level and it's great. This place has zero dress code-not that all golf course do but some places you can really standout if u show up in gym shorts and a tank top-but not here-anything goes and nobody will give u a 2nd look if u have no clue what your doing. The place has a few cool features that I enjoy-it has a putting area so you can go out there and work on your putting at zero cost.It has a very good short game area where one can work on their short game but it does cost $7 an hour to get access to that area. This place does have ample parking so that should never be a problem, there is a pro shop on premises as well-Inside your able to buy range tokens which you use to get range balls to use on the range.Prices range from $7 for a small bucket(40 balls) to $24 for a "Leader" bucket which is 200 balls. What I do is buy the Leader bucket for $24 and they give you 5 tokens for 40 balls each and then I spread out their usage over multiple visits since 40 balls is more than enough for a driving range session, which brings the cost down to under $5 a bucket-a very very good price for a small bucket. The pro shop also sells beers and sodas and snacks along with just about any other golf accessory you could possibly need from driving range tees to full on brand new golf sets-it's a decent shop-gets the job done. The gentleman who owns the range also works the shop-he is an amazingly kind man,he is a little rough around the edges when you first meet him but once you get to know him,he is the best-super helpful and chatty-he is truly an asset to this location. Overall what I will say about this place is this-if you have ever had the idea that maybe you have an interest in golf and want to go to a judgement free spot where you can try it out-this is your place. If you want a no frills spot to go and work on your game-this is your place. If you want a spot you and your friends can meet and chill and maybe throw back a beer or two while doing something somewhat active-this is your place. So do yourself a favor and head on out to Leader Golf and give this amazing game a chance-it just might start a lifelong obsession-see ya out there. 5 Stars -- Haggin Oaks Golf Complex…read more TIGER WOODS, IF YOU'RE READING THIS... YOUR JOB IS SAFE! ‍ Listen, it had been a HOT minute since I last picked up a golf club, so I figured why not take the wife out for a little golfing? Something fun, relaxing, maybe even romantic. You know, a little quality time together. Well, apparently I forgot how to golf, and Mother Nature forgot how to act! We walked into the golf store at Haggin Oaks asking about rental clubs and range balls because, quite frankly, I couldn't remember how ANYTHING worked. The gentleman helping us was extremely welcoming, friendly, and informative. Explained the pricing, where to go, and how everything worked. Customer service? TOP NOTCH! Now, here's where things got interesting. I was told rental clubs were 3 for $5. Somehow, I ended up paying $14 for 6 clubs, 3 for me and 3 for my wife. Now, I ain't no mathematician, but somebody's calculator was golfing too! LOL. No biggie, though. We got our clubs, grabbed our balls, and headed out. AND THAT'S WHEN THE COMEDY SHOW BEGAN! First off, I'm naturally LEFT-HANDED, but apparently when I golf, I'm RIGHT-HANDED! Guess who forgot that little detail? ‍ ME! So there I was swinging left-handed, wondering why my golf game looked like I was fighting off invisible bees! Half the time I wasn't even golfing anymore. I was out there questioning my entire existence! Meanwhile, the weather had the audacity to be PREHEATED TO 400 DEGREES! I'm trying to figure out my swing, and my poor wife is getting broiled like a Sunday rotisserie chicken! We lasted about 30 minutes before I realized if we didn't leave soon, I was gonna have to serve her with a side of mashed potatoes! Needless to say, we called it quits, passed our leftover range balls to another group of hitters, and made our grand exit. You're welcome, fellas! But seriously, despite my questionable golfing abilities, the unexpected pricing, and the Sacramento sun trying to turn my wife into a Thanksgiving entrée, Haggin Oaks was a great experience! The staff were welcoming, patient, and helpful. The range was enjoyable, and everything was easy to navigate, especially for someone who hadn't been golfing in forever. And to the gentleman who handed me that PINK golf club holder for lefties... SIR! I don't know if you were trying to tell me something, but I appreciate you anyway! FINAL VERDICT: Haggin Oaks, you're alright by me! We'll definitely be back. Preferably when the temperature isn't set to AIR FRY and after I remember which hand I'm supposed to golf with! Because apparently my golf game needs lessons, my wife needs sunscreen, and I need to get my LEFTS and RIGHTS together! ‍

There were hundreds swarming my arms and legs as I heard constant buzzing in my ears on my takeaway. I nearly walked off the course and went home because it was that bad but the clubhouse also had bug-spray which helped greatly. This is in late August for a 7am tee time and to be fair, I hear the mosquitos depends on the time of day and the season of the year. Luckily as the day warmed up, the mosquitos disappeared. As for the course, it was absolutely serene with white tailed rabbits, deer, squirrels and geese adding to the experience. The fairways were forgiving and the greens were great. From hole to hole, I barely saw people as each holes seemed to be well blocked and separated from each other giving my group and I peace and quiet throughout the round. Thoroughly enjoyed the round and would love to come back as long as the mosquitos are gone.

It's rather spread out over a large plot of land. I originally contemplated walking the course, it's pancake fat, but nursing a lower back injury and not feeling 100% I decided to ride. Glad that I did. There are long stretches between the putting greens and the next tee box. I estimate that a total walk would be about 8,500 yards. Course conditions are okay, not pristine. Putting greens rolled about 10 on the Stimp scale. Fairways are mowed adequately. If your ball does end in the trees / rough, it's usually pretty easy to find. Though some fairways are lined with painful thorn filled blackberry bushes, just like most golf courses in northern California. If you are wearing shorts you won't be crawling through the stickers to retrieve your ball. For a senior golfer during the week the green fee is $52. Not a bargain, but this is the going price at many of the other courses in the metro Sacramento / Placer county region. I did enjoy the game here. Did I like it more than the Cherry Island municipal course located in Elverta (12 minute drive from here)? Probably not. Cherry Island layout is more interesting and more challenging.
