I had a pretty disappointing experience here, which is frustrating because I was actually having one of my best rounds ever. To be fair, we did get an initial warning from the marshal about pace of play, and I completely understand that. I was playing with a friend who was on his first round ever, so we expected to need to be mindful and appreciated the heads-up. What didn't make sense was what happened after. The marshal came back just one hole later and then proceeded to watch us play for the next three holes. It felt excessive and honestly pretty uncomfortable, especially considering the circumstances. I was playing great, and my friend was doing the right thing by picking up when needed and not holding things up. I even checked with the group behind us, and they said we were keeping a perfectly fine pace. On top of that, the course wasn't particularly busy, which made the situation even more confusing. For a course that advertises itself as beginner-friendly, this didn't feel very welcoming. A reminder about pace is one thing, but hovering over players, especially newer ones, takes away from the experience. Overall, the course itself is fine, but the way this was handled really hurt the round. I hope management can take a look at how marshals approach situations like this in the future. read more

Came here for first 18 hole round. The course definitely has some great views. The green and fairways are nice and lawned out. The water is glossing into the sun. This is a walkable course, they do offer golf carts and push carts. Took us about 3 hours to complete. Along each tee time there are benches to rest. Pace of play when I went out was definitely relaxed. As a beginner this is a great course to practice a more challenging game. Only thing is lots of muddy areas but nothing to wear it was super excessive. Wanted to buy a souvenir ball but they didn't have it. Overall, would come here again and play! read more

I love this course because it's 18 holes mostly consisting of par 3 and 4's. It's perfect if you want to play more than 9 holes but don't want to spend 4+ hours to play. You could lose balls, either in the water or reeds but it's still a good time! The only negative thing I could say is that the first time I went there the Marshall came by and said if we really want to piss him off is to park the cart close to the greens and tee boxes. I felt the message could have been delivered differently. read more

I play here about twice a year and it is great practice with the short irons. Quite a few in the 100-110 range. Even one hole that is only about 60-70 yards, where you have to clear a bunker but can go too far because there is a creek behind it. You only pull driver 4 times, otherwise all irons. During the winter months and into spring the greens are lightning fast. We made a joke that is is like putting in a parking lot. Lol Don't expect it to be super nice and the greens will have quite a few divots not repaired. But all in all a good bargain. I just played twilight for 30 bucks with a cart. read more

You're gonna get what you pay for here, but for some reason it's just a course you love to hate cuz it challenges you! Don't count on clean carts, nice tee boxes, or uniformed greens (aside from folks that don't know how to fix their own divots!) But it's a local favorite that keeps me coming back. My only genuine complaint aside from carts hardly being cleaned is the food and drink. Often outta the few beer selections they offer and with only chips, sodas, beers, (a few pre-packed cold sandwich options) the primary fuel is the Costco dogs.... PLEASE be better at havin hot dogs ready for the day and fresh throughout. Some of us need to drow our crappy golf scores with some beers and dogs; really sucks when there's either none, or what dogs are there have been left out so long they're shriveled up. Y'all have a huge counter space option going on there. You're missing out on some money making options! Aside from that, it's blast of a course to play that will challenge anyone's skill level for a par 3/4 course due to one factor or another. read more

I went in a party of 2 with a buddy for the first time this week. It was our understanding that we only had to pay a small fee for additional riders that wanted to go along with us because my wife and my buddies girlfriend wanted to watch us play the course. When we went to check in for our tee time, the guy with the goatee and tattoos on his forearms was very rude and not understanding about this. He raised his voice and caused a little scene saying "seriously guys, we don't allow riders on the weekends we're a small course!" I tried calmly explaining to him that it was our first time here and we didn't know but he just kept on with his attitude and shook his head. He reluctantly let us pay for them to ride along but the girls ended up leaving because they felt offended. I hope all the employees aren't like this because the course was fun. read more

Today we had a tea time at 10:12, we came to the coarse to get our cart and everything and it was already pre paid and booked online and we paid extra for the cart, when we got there one of the workers said that they don't have enough carts and that one of us would have to walk because we were with a group of people and told us that we only paid for one seat (which is not true we paid for a cart) also told us that on Saturdays per group you can only use two carts which it doesn't state that anywhere on the website or anywhere else for us to know. There was an extra cart on the side and they told us we basically can't have it because they don't have enough for everyone. If the coarse doesn't have enough carts that's on them and they should be more clear about it. Then finally one of the lady workers said that it's fine for us to take a cart since we didn't know so we took it and went to our first hole and joined the group, a minute later that same lady proceeds us and tells us it's not okay to take the cart because once again Saturdays it's only two carts per group which we didn't know and would of never paid or get it if we knew that was the case, i told her it's already paid and she kept saying we only paid for the seat and that we would have to walk and came and took the key out of the cart so we can't use it. At that point we did not want to stay there any longer after them treating us that way in front of other people, we asked for the refund and left the coarse, nobody should be treated that way ever, that is horrible customer service. We went to that coarse so many times and that never happened before. After this incident we don't ever want to come back there, i should be getting what i paid for and should be treated with respect. read more

This is a nice executive 18 hole course. The fairways are short & wide. Nice park like setting with lots of squirrels & geese. Carts are not plentiful and don't have windshields. The clubhouse is nice & the bathrooms are clean. There is a flatscreen TV & nice fireplace. The guy that works the checkin desk was efficient & nice. We had a nice day! read more

Great twilight price of $15 weekdays and $25 with a cart. Played 9/18 holes with my dad. It's nicely maintained and the staff is friendly. No beer cart but the clubhouse is centrally located to easily stop for a beverage. I love that they had many bathrooms and outhouses (clean ones) all along the course too! read more

Played this course several times just to work on my irons. Their driving range is cool and allows you to hit off grass. You can get through the course in about 3 hours if there's no crowd. You really can't go wrong for the money. read more

Antelope Greens is the perfect golf course for the beginner but has enough pitfalls to keep the intermediate golfer engaged. The course plays 3282 from the tips and is mostly par 3's with four par 4's. Water comes into play on 7 holes and at least through the front 9 the traps were nasty and deep. The front nine is very interesting and has many holes that are challenging. The best is hole 4. It plays 82 yards from the back, has nasty, deep traps covering the front and the back of the green is covered by a creek that is OB. So basically you must have great distance control or you are in serious trouble. Loved the hole!! Considering how bad the heat wave has been the course was in great shape and was cheap to play. Overall, an extremely fun course that has enough challenges to keep you guessing. read more

It's a short 18, but it's fun to play and there is some great use of bunkers and water features that add a nice challenge at times. The service is also incredible. This executive style course is in excellent condition this year with all of the rain. Spring time is the best time for this course as the summer months bring on some dry grass for the course. Greens are a little slow and yardages are tough with the tee boxes lacking adequate markers for distances. I have played others places in the area and no where else I had such a bad experience as a beginner. And the way they do it is not very friendly. I recommend Haggin Oaks or Bing Malone for beginners. I recently returned to this course since two years ago, and it's nice to see that they improved the main building. The course is a small mostly par threes but a good place to warm up again after a hiatus. I buy the range balls and enjoy spending the morning practicing on their range. Don't come here if you're looking to have a good time with friends. Over the weekend a group of friends and I paid for 18 holes. We had a group of 4 begin and then my group of 3 followed. As we went along my group of 3 ended up catching our group of 4 and we finished a hole together, now I understand that is not allowed, I acknowledge this as a no no, I understand 100%. As I was putting two older men angrily approach us and tell us we cannot play together and that a group of 4 behind our group of 7 is frustrated with us taking so long. Mind you the older men that approached us are on the 18th hole and were finishing up their game. My group plus the random group of 4 were all on the 9th or 10th hole at this point. Then the two men tell us they're not average Joe's and that they were actually employees of the golf course. My group remained calm, unlike the emotionally charged "employees" and only one of us in our group of 7 is explaining the situation and why we caught up so fast. The two "employees" are not listening and keep telling us that we're in the wrong as we try to explain that another group ahead of us was taking a long time and that we weren't going to hit balls at them while they were trying to putt. We end up agreeing to disagree with the "employees", based on their approach and tone. We finish putting and move on. Two minutes later at the next hole the marshall now shows up in his golf cart emotionally charged and states that we told his employees to "F off" which was a complete lie. He came and accused us from the get go and didn't even try to hear our side of things. Our group of 7 players are all young Hispanic professionals in our early to mid 30's. We were all dressed appropriately and not acting like teenagers at a high school dance. The marshall could've approached us in a completely different manner vs yelling, pfffing and whatever'n us. We're not his children, employees or relatives to be spoken to in such a manner. After that interaction we approach the group of 4 behind us, the "frustrated" group and asked if they had spoken to the two employees that said they were told by them that they were frustrated. The group laughed and said no. All they told us was that they were drinking, smoking, throwing the golf ball if they couldn't connect with the club and that they were just out having fun. They had zero issues with my group. At the end of our 18 holes my friend approached the marshall in the clubhouse to once again try and explain our side of things. He explained to the marshall about his two employees making up lies about the "F off" comment and the lie about speaking to the group of 4 behind us. The marshall remained unprofessional and whatever'd my friend as he walked away. I'm not trying to play the race card, but we definitely felt hostility and unfairness. We can't putt together because we're going to be yelled at and belittled, but if you're Caucasian you can drink, smoke weed and throw the ball at the hole instead of hitting it with a club. I'm not judging, do what you want, just stating the facts. It just doesn't seem fair and I can't help but feel racially profiled. read more

What a joke. No marshal anywhere. The group in front of us goofing off, holding everyone up and playing two holes behind the group in front of them. Maintainence guys using power equipment while we're playing- they followed us for 3 holes. Kids riding bicycles right on the course. I complained to the "manager" who gave me a blank look and offered no comment. I've been playing there for 20 years and have seen the downhill progression for a couple of years now. I played this course a week ago and had a good time with some buds. We hyped golf up to some buddies who have never pleated before and even got them to agree to play a round of golf. We went to this course and and payed for two foursomes. We played the front nine at a decent pace however, things slowed down on the 10th hole. All 7 of us (two foursomes) played this hole as the foursome in front tee off. When one of my buddies who has never played hit a par we all celebrated him which really upset the male Karen's on the 18th hole. We had two guys come over and try to lecture of us about golf. One guy said "we are not average Joe's we work here" as is he was the law on this course. We moved on to the next hole when the Marshall, front desk, bartender and whatever other job this guy does came up with the most sassy energy I have ever experience. He said "you told my guys to F off" which no one did but he led with that and didn't care to listen to us therefore, when we gave him some attitude with a sprinkle of testosterone he did not know what to say. We finished the 18 holes but didn't enjoy the last 8. Once the round had finished I went to clubhouse to speak to super Marshall and he pretended to listen to me as if he cared about the concern however, once we walked away he said "whatever" under is breath as if this helped him regain his manhood. If you decided you want to play golf and you are not a scratch golfer I would recommend another course like cherry island because apparently this course only allows people that played In the US OPEN. Go patronize businesses that actually want you there not places like this that feel like they need to tolerate you. I hope you think twice before going to this course and running into one of the three musketeer. read more

The best way to describe this course is "Where I paid my dues" as a NEW golfer. Ironically, long before this was built, I grew up riding horses on this land. My Dad & Stepmother owned the home (now a Walmart) up the road! Every time I play this course, I think fondly of those childhood/teen years. First and foremost, the staff is AMAZING. They are friendly, and very very knowledgeable. When they describe this course as PERFECT for the beginner, they are speaking the TRUTH. When I say I PAID MY DUES here, I speak the TRUTH. With inherited clubs, I really REALLY worked hard to get the hang of my Drive, hours have been spent here (mostly cursing Hole # 2 and #12)--but after about a year, I nailed them both. I believe I've earned the most PAR and Bogeys here! I am thankful to have a patient (and I mean PATIENT) Husband. As shared above, we've clocked a LOT of hours here, and more than a few times I wanted to throw my clubs (in the beginning.) Thankfully, I've really taken to this sport, and now we golf quite a bit (I hope for MORE this year!) Great course, in my heart, I'd say it is my local favorite (nostalgia wise.) We met a man, his name was Reggie, he sealed the deal to return to this golf course Anytime we would be in the area. This course has turned the corner from working out of a double wide trailer to a wonderful introduction to the course. My sister, from Arizona and I from Concord, would play this course in the time that my sister lived in Roseville. It was an enjoyable 18 hole golf course for the local people. It isn't a tough course but one that is most enjoyable for getting together with friends and family to work on your game and have a wonderful time. Now it's so much more. A new club house is a Great introduction, one with space, displays, refreshments, golf products and people with a Great Attitude. Clean, refreshing and welcoming for all that come through the door. Reservations were confirmed, a clean cart was issued and there was even a patio from which we could have a refreshment and watch the first tee for when it was our time to tee off. The course is so well maintained and a pleasure to play. There were plenty of personnel taking care of the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Always give them a "Thumbs Up" for their continuous work. My sister and I had a really good time on each and every hole and worked hard on our game. At the end of our round of golf, we met a man, his name was Reggie and he seemed to be the supervisor of further construction in improvement. We stopped and talked to him about how much we appreciated his work in improving the course. With a chuckle and a smile Reggie told us that he was "just the guy that tells them where to go and put this thing over there". A Great conversation with a man that TOTALLY enjoyed his job. . . He told us to come back anytime. We'll tell our family and friends of the Great time of entertainment and golf we enjoyed at Antelope Greens. read more

I like this coarse. It's great for beginners and great to sharpen your short game. This coarse is easy but there are a few places you can lose your balls so be careful! The guys in the office are usually pretty cool and they have a decent enough selection of beer. I will continue playing this coarse because I definitely need the practice, lol. I recommend this coarse to all those trying to develop there skills. Once you master this place you may just be ready for the bigger and beautiful courses. The carts are decent/clean not broke down, and the prices are reasonable. Just go on and enjoy a couple hours and have fun. read more
