Cool "motorcycle" rental instead of the typical golf cart.
    Michelle F.

9 hole 3 par course. I can see why it's a beginner/ practice course. The parking lot, course and , club house are quaint. We were worried about the possibility of golf balls hitting the parked cars. The check in process was smooth, they have golf balls, tees (for sale), and clubs available to rent. They only serve light snacks (candy, chips). No alcohol or hot food for sale. There is one indoor restroom and port a potties on the actual course. Only three golf carts for rent, and two "motorcycle" ish scooters to use to get around the course. Course itself is walk friendly. However, the holes are not easily marked which makes it somewhat difficult to navigate while playing. The course had a few muddy holes, divots, etc. BUT it is a decent beginner, practice course. Friendly customer service.

    Me on the 9th hole.

The best course to get your short game on par. Judy. & Bob are the best along with the staff. Reservations are simple and it can be done online or by phone. They have seasonal night golf the is soooo much fun. It's easier than you would think. No water or sand. But if you can par this course you will play other courses much better. It's 9 holes. No bar cart but beer is available along with other beverages If you are looking for a nice short course to play better this is the place. Very reasonable rates Carts are available but you need to reserve in advance. You can even rent push carts. Parking is easy.

About a month has passed since we celebrated our wedding at Granite Bay GC, and in retrospect, I…read moredon't think we could've made a better decision in choosing our venue and our event manager -- Kelle Collier. I will preface this review of Kelle by underscoring the fact that she wants your "BIG DAY" to be even more perfect than you want it. And with that said, her passion and precision is on full display from the minute you're sitting down for a consultation; to the moment of reprieve when you realize that your event was a huge success. Kelle's fingerprints are all over it, so just make sure that you pair up Kelle's management skills with a coordinator of equal caliber. Now, enough about Kelle and let's start talking about Granite Bay GC. This golf club is gorgeous! From the beautiful 18 hole golf course -- to the small lake and the wooden bridge that curves alongside the landscape; the view from here is absolutely stunning. Your photographer will be in heaven. I promise you! They have a lovely outdoor garden area that's designated for your ceremonial vows, and an indoor banquet hall that lights up with class and elegance once it's fully decorated. I haven't even gotten to the food yet. Whoever GBGC hired as their lead Chef is doing a phenomenal job. I applaud you Mr. Chef of GBGC. As a foodie and a native to Los Angeles, the food in Sacramento is truly lackluster to say the least. I know... I know, what about The Kitchen and Mulvaney's, and Morton's and Ruth's Chris, and blah blah blah. Yes, those are about as good as it gets and I still have all fingers fisted in one of my hands. They serve their food buffet style, so all of your guests will attend your event and go home satisfied. That's my word! If we can only spread the food quality at GBGC to the rest of the Sacramento Valley! And if we can only clone Kelle Collier like Tesla's Opimus to ensure that everyone in the greater Sacramento region will always have their big day end in fireworks. Wouldn't that be a dream? Well, at least for those of us choosing GBGC as our venue of choice, that dream is already our reality. Thank you GBGC for making our night special.

We didn't know exactly what we wanted or how to accomplish it, but our planner, Kelle Collier guided us through the entire process with a multitude of great ideas to make it special. Kelle was unable to be at the party, but she had a plan in place that the party leader, Ethan and his staff executed perfectly. All were friendly, extremely professional, and available to take care of anything we asked for. We had many comments from guests about the great food, stellar service, and workers who seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. Since there was not an event prior to ours, they let me come the day before and set up my pictures and the decorations I was providing, which relieved a lot of stress for me. Ethan met my sister and me in the parking lot and carried everything inside for us. The staff made us feel very special and ensured that this was a truly memorable event for us.

Surprised…read morebecause this Roseville owned golf course is in much better shape than the other city muni course Woodcreek. I played Woodcreek last week, the course is in poor condition. The practice driving range is an absolute shit show with blasting hard rock music from giant speakers mounted on the ball machine shed. Back to Diamond... Nice greeting at desk from a happy employee. Gave me the basic information. I walked the course and pushed my trolley. Fairways in decent shape. Drives roll out nicely. The putting greens are slow but smooth. Most have interesting undulations so that competent green reading skills are a must if you want to 2 putt. Pretty much a wide open course. A 20 handicap hacker won't loose too many balls. The sparse amount of trees rarely come into play unless you shank a drive into the next fairway over. Bunkers actually have sand in them enough to give a decent chance to get the ball out without skulling it across the green. $31 for senior walking before 1:00pm. After 1:01pm green fee is $25. The quality to price ratio is good. My home course is Timber Creek in Del Webb Sun City Roseville. Green fee there is almost double the price. I think that I'll become a Diamond Oaks regular because at the price I can afford to play 3 times / week.

Later we find out that she told the other workers that one of our players had a high school polo shirt on and she told them that she asked for our IDs and we refused to give them to her, we would've been happy to show her we were all above age but she never asked us for our IDs at all, and told one of the workers that were under age and to not give us our drinks back and then left before we could pick them up from the shop that she told us to pick up at when we were done. We love this course and have been coming for years but it's very disappointing that false information was being accused along with having our personal property taken without properly verifying the situation. We were never asked to present our IDs, and would have happily shown them if we had been. Being accused of refusing something that never even happened was frustrating and unfair. We understand and respect the importance of checking IDs and following policies, but the way this situation was handled felt unprofessional and based on incorrect assumptions. We hope management can address this so it doesn't happen to other customers in the future. We've always enjoyed coming here and would like to continue, but experiences like this definitely take away from that.

Apparently the folks of the greater Sacramento community are spoiled for choice in golf courses. I…read moredecided to take a chance on Morgan Creek as an out of towner staying relatively close by and boy was I surprised! Based on the reviews here I was expecting piss poor conditions and the fact that I only paid $50 for the 2pm tee time led me to believe that was going to be the case. But boy was I wrong! I live in Southern CA and for $50 (cart included) at 2pm you'll be waiting at every tee box (even on weekdays) praying you find grass to hit from and the rental set of clubs would be a mix match of stuff they found in the lost & found. Here at Morgan Creek I received a beautiful set of Taylormade Qi 35 woods and Qi irons with a tour x spider putter as my rental clubs. I was not planning to play on this trip so I did not bring my own. The course was in good to great shape. Yes there were some bunkers that needed some love, and some water hazards that were drying up, but it appeared the tee boxes had recently been aerated so in a few weeks they'll be perfect, the greens were probably the best I've seen at this price point, could have been a little faster, but in general I loved the undulations and overall green complexes. I for SURE will be back! Even at $75 for a weekend rate, consider that a steal for the quality of the course! The only other course I've played in the area is the MacKenzie at Haggin Oaks (SAME PRICE) and this course was far and away my favorite of the two. I'm open to trying other courses in the area when I'm up for business, but I'm definitely coming back here for another round!
