Coach Marc shows a true understanding of the fundamentals and works to ensure that the mechanics are correct so that players can perform their best. I've been so impressed with Baseball Therapy that it has become a regular part of our schedule. I can't recommend them highly enough.

With Marc's coaching and Baseball Therapy he exceeded all of my expectations! My son started in the outfield, moved to second base, then short stop. Good luck if your door daughter gets arm or knee injuries due to the intensive training schedule…read morecausing adverse effects on a teen's growth plates. A good coach teaches his player how to do an exercise to avoid injury. Instead of teaching my son how to lift weights to avoid injury, Coach Mike Hacker would ridicule my son in front of his peers and yell "that's why you have injuries, because you're doing it wrong." Mike did not show him the "correct" way to lift the weight. There was another instance where my son and one of his peers were spotting each other on some weights. Coach Mike yelled at the other boy to get out of his weight room for talking to my son and told him he won't bother sending my son out of the room because my son is not worth it. There are numerous instances of mental and verbal abuse from Coach Mike on the field as well. None of these instances were constructive but personal. I will not mention them in order to protect my son's identity. We have read about coaches who ridicule and verbally abuse certain players on their team causing the player to quit the sport for good. We never imagined this would be the case with our 13 year old. Our son had played successfully since he was 5 years old and played Majors prior to coming to BPA. We cannot express the sadness we have our son has left the sport because of his experience at BPA. We believe Coach Mike had a personal disliking for our son since he had expected to get a starting pitcher but got a kid with injuries due to growth plates not being fully fused yet. Before coming to BPA we were warned by a previous player about how he also had been verbally abused and ridiculed by Coach Mike, but we didn't believe him. We wish we had. We remember Coach Mike naming other ball clubs in the area and telling us how bad they were, that BPA was the best, even better than playing for the high school he previously taught at. We now believe this was to isolate players from considering playing for any other competing baseball club in the area. Regrettably, we convinced our son to stay longer than he should have because of this. Great leaders motivate young players to succeed by being fair, positive, patient, sincere, concerned and honest. Although Coach Mike knows baseball, these characteristics were nowhere to be found. Parents beware! There are no protections under the law for verbal and mental abuse of your adoloscent in extracarricular sports. Don't take a chance with your child's self esteem and baseball future. There are other baseball clubs in the area that develop young, successful college recruitments.

My fellow friends from elementary school through high school have played here. Now my handsome little nephew's play here. It's a great neighborhood that fully supports its local Little League! The board works hard to ensure the safety, fun, and fairness for the kids who choose to play for CGLL! The snack bar is above average. Especially when they sell Chic-fil-A! They don't take credit, so that's a bummer, just cash. It's always good to remember that everything you buy is a fundraiser to keep the fields alive for the kids. Plenty of shade to watch games. Also, plenty of bleacher space and open grassy area to plop down your own chair. There is are tennis courts near by and also a play area for kids. I will say this and it's no fault to CGLL. Lock your car, thieves have been know to circulate near the parking lot...preying on the families who are there supporting their children. Heartless. The families are support each other and will chase away those who look suspicious and also tell you on the loud speaker if this does happen. If your kidlet needs something fun to do, bring them or sign them up for CGLL!

Stunning...but so many MOSQUITOS…read more I was being eaten alive by the mosquitos while on the driving range. There were hundreds swarming my arms and legs as I heard constant buzzing in my ears on my takeaway. I nearly walked off the course and went home because it was that bad but the clubhouse also had bug-spray which helped greatly. This is in late August for a 7am tee time and to be fair, I hear the mosquitos depends on the time of day and the season of the year. Luckily as the day warmed up, the mosquitos disappeared. As for the course, it was absolutely serene with white tailed rabbits, deer, squirrels and geese adding to the experience. The fairways were forgiving and the greens were great. From hole to hole, I barely saw people as each holes seemed to be well blocked and separated from each other giving my group and I peace and quiet throughout the round. Thoroughly enjoyed the round and would love to come back as long as the mosquitos are gone.

It's rather spread out over a large plot of land. I originally contemplated walking the course, it's pancake fat, but nursing a lower back injury and not feeling 100% I decided to ride. Glad that I did. There are long stretches between the putting greens and the next tee box. I estimate that a total walk would be about 8,500 yards. Course conditions are okay, not pristine. Putting greens rolled about 10 on the Stimp scale. Fairways are mowed adequately. If your ball does end in the trees / rough, it's usually pretty easy to find. Though some fairways are lined with painful thorn filled blackberry bushes, just like most golf courses in northern California. If you are wearing shorts you won't be crawling through the stickers to retrieve your ball. For a senior golfer during the week the green fee is $52. Not a bargain, but this is the going price at many of the other courses in the metro Sacramento / Placer county region. I did enjoy the game here. Did I like it more than the Cherry Island municipal course located in Elverta (12 minute drive from here)? Probably not. Cherry Island layout is more interesting and more challenging.
